April has been a busy month. In addition to the hard work we're putting in on PaizoCon's adventures, there have also been big announcements with each of the past three Monday blogs. First it was the release of Faction Journal Cards, then the announcement of Pathfinder Unchained, and most recently an announcement about the role of Pathfinder Unchained in the Pathfinder Society Organized Play campaign.

Phew! With all of that, there's hardly been time to preview the April scenarios! As the Year of the Sky Key starts to wrap up, we're finding more and more pieces of that broken Numerian relic.

The first scenario is Pathfinder Society Scenario #6-18: From Under Ice by Venture-Captain (and Open Call participant) Andrew Hoskins. The PCs are bound for the tumultuous border between the Lands of the Linnorm Kings and Irrisen—a tough voyage made easier by their Varki guide. This is a particularly exciting adventure because of how important the PCs' decisions are and how many ways the adventure can turn out.

Our second adventure is Pathfinder Society Scenario #6-19: Test of Tar Kuata by Pedro Coelho, whom you may remember from the finale of the thrilling Destiny of the Sands series. He returns us to Osirion once more, but this time to visit one of the most famous monasteries in northern Garund: Tar Kuata, home to Iroran monks and the dwarven ascetics known as the Ouat. Despite being a temple of self-perfection, Tar Kuata lacks the heroes needed to chase a growing threat from the desert.

It is refreshing to trot about The Inner Sea :)

Is that a holy symbol of Rovagug or something decidedly....worse?

I hope I don't have to capture another Spider.

Awesome I always enjoy visiting Irrisen.

Or as my Winter Witch calls it: Happy Winter Fun Land.

Well, wearing the colors of the rough beast, weilding his favored weapon, and with his symbol on the persons chest? Yeah, he is some kind of champion of the Rovagug. The question really is, Anti-Paladin, Inquistor, Warpriest, or Cleric. Though he might just be a devote lay paritioner of the diety of breaking everything.

Let's be positive, and call it a scarab shall we?

Knowing that there are Ouat hipsters out there and that I have "ruined" the Ouat by sharing those dwarves' awesomeness with the organized play campaign at large gives me an unexpected amount of joy.

I do miss Tweettus's way of communicating entirely by koan.

Now someone needs to photoshop hipster glasses on the dwarf in the blog.

I'm going to hate myself for this one but ...

Turn down for Ouat?

My first thought was, "Isn't this guy too nicely dressed to be a follower of the Rough Beast?" I'd be okay with fighting an anti paladin, those don't turn up too often, I've only seen one, and that was in a module, I've yet to see one in a scenario.

Really? Man, I feel like I have fought an army of them.

"I can't express how excited I am to go to this wonderful monastery! After my trip into the Sanctum of the Sages and all of my journeys in Osirion, I am looking forward to meeting other followers of Irori! The things I can tell them about the Sages! I was empowered by the Ruby Sage! I carried the Topaz Gem! I can't wait for more!" The small woman says with eyes full of wonder, framed by intricate frames, her hair practically bounces in the immaculate braids, while she is dressed as if she is Osiriani, marked as a Scarab Sage, she is clearly of Andoren descent.

Eh, coulda been better. Dat feller pictur'd up there wearing a poxy crab on his armor hit preddy damn hard. Nice monks tho', 'ey was plenty nice. Y'see, been a long time since we last ventur'd to a monastery and it WASSINT godsdammit lethal. I wish 'ey wrote THAT in the chronicles and not sum ancient jumbo. Like 'ere: "Here lies Tar Kuata. What a nice place!" The hulking sylph returns to his pile of maps, topmost of them an intricate spread of western Cheliax finished in ruddy golden ink, quickly notices the snapped pencil still in his fist and adds it to a small heap of just as broken ones while swearing profoundly. Alas, poor murderhobo.

Sadly my only Iroran character (a Champion of Irori) is 15th level.

I know a former VC and two VLs in your area you have characters of level 15+ as well ... sounds like an interesting table possibility.

Same here. I like to show some growth in my characters so Tweettus took Creed of Humility (Virtue) at 11th level and stopped doing that. It was definitely fun referring to notes from the Dhammapada while coming up with his dialogue.
