Yeah, something about they face of a prey animal, combined with the features of a predator is for some reason way scarier than any depicted demon or devil.
Congradulations Paizo, you've reigned me back in towards buying this set. The Wendigo is one of of my favorite monsters in Native American mythology, and this depiction is aptly terrifying to look upon. Can't wait to start snatching PCs up into the howling winds, showing the miniature and saying "In the whirling snow, for the briefest instant, this is what you see.."

All of the sculpts in this set are awesome. Of all the demons and giants and ghouls and all that stuff, this is the one that gives me a feeling of apprehension and fear. While the players might say "oh crap" and the big models and demons, etc, I can see this figure giving the players nightmares in between gaming sessions.

It will be hard to tell until it's actually in my hand, but I think this is my favorite mini so far, across both sets. (though the runegiant might trump it).
I'd like to register a complaint though. Eight months between sets is, in my view, cruel and unusual punishment. Please tell me the next one will arrive by Christmas?

Cruel and Unusual? it's the only way some of us can even remotely afford it with Paizo putting out so much cool-stuff. Still I suppose I can forgo eating and live in the dark for the sake of my hobby ;-)
Seriously once these sets get rolling one every 6 months would be cool. ( the old WotC model of 3 sets a year was just too much; quality suffered and it was night impossible to get a complete set before the next set was released.)

Body organs can go for a reasonable sum, if you've been living healthy.

I'm sure there's some ideal rate - 6 months would be good in my view too (though I suspect I'd prefer 4 months). Eight months though - that's too long between drinks. :(
.Having said that, I suspect what feels reasonable will also depend on the size of the set (ie whether there are 40ish sculpts or 60ish).

I think that I could probably keep up with one set this size and one smaller set per year. Any more sets/minis then I'd have to drop the subscription.
The Wendigo however looks awesome!

[redacted] fabulous!
Maybe in real life up close it'll look more like blood, but on the screen (to me at least) it looks like he got his hands stuck in a bottle of pepto bismol.
But I can fix that with a brush and three minutes time, so it still get's two thumbs up from me!

This is what I’m a bit concerned with, as well. Not only shipping, but in general. With the WizKids minis being more brittle in general, I hope it isn’t too easy for the antlers to break.
But the mini looks great!
The antlers should be as hard to break as things like the manticore wings in H&M... its possible, but you have to abuse them to make it happen. They are also most likely a separate piece from the head, and will pop off the head before shattering
