What is the best way to contact a venture captain (specifically Robert Vaughn for Houston)? I haven't gotten to play my 8th level cleric of Pharasma since last year's Comicon.
Via email, generally. There's a list of all of us on the link Mike provided in his blog entry. It doesn't look like it's been updated with Robert's contact info yet. Also, both Dave Woodfin (VC Austin) and myself will be at OwlCon during the first weekend in February. It will be a great opportunity to play PFS and hook up with other players in the region.
I expect Robert will be there, too, but I haven't heard either way.
Also, a warm welcome to all the new VCs and VLs, especially Robert. I know Dave is going to be happy now that he's *just* covering Austin and San Antonio...

I just wanted to respond even though I haven't gotten the official upgrade in the Paizo system yet...
Thanks to everyone for the well-wishes, and I promise to do my best to help grow the Houston Lodge into a vibrant and active gaming community. I will be trying to meet with all active players and GMs over the next couple of months to develop a strategy for growing the Society's presence in our region.
Jonathan: I will be at OwlCon as a player the first weekend in February. I plan to use the PFS play there to meet a lot of our community in a brief time.
psychicmachinery: My email will be posted later today on the Venture-Captain site, but it is houston.venture.captain.rlv@gmail.com.
Please get in touch with me if you have ideas about the Houston PFS, as I am going to be looking for allies and community leaders. I hope very much to be meeting and gaming with you all very soon!

Welcome aboard all, especially Robert. Hope to see you at Owlcon. (We could still use a standby GM.)
If not, you're always welcome at my game at Asgard Games. We play the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Monday of every month at 6:30.
I actually tried to come and play last Monday, but ended up getting sucked into a late meeting at work...I will do everything that I can to get to the next one though, as you are on my list as someone to know...

Here's a possibly odd question - How far north does the Albany, NY region cover? I live up in Lake Placid, and so far we don't have any Pathfinder Society coverage (granted, there's only a few gamers up here in Yetiland).
Generally speaking, I think Evan and I are actively covering as far north as the Saratoga area. However, shoot us an email and we'll see what we can do to help out.

Robby,
If you haven't already, join the Texas PFS site we have set up.
We are trying to keep the whole Texas community connected and we us that site for it.
After registering for the Page email Dave Woodfin so he can accept it.

How about a Venture Captain for Sacramento? We have a million plus in the area, and lumping us with the bay area(a 1 1/2 to 3 hour drive), just doesn't work for events that are semi-weekly.
It can happen if the right person comes along and submits an application and sells me on the idea. Kansas City wasn't initially on the list but Seth sold me on the fact the area needed one.
Point any interested party to email me.

First congrats to everyone.

Secondly, I've organized/helped a organize games through stores in my area. Our Venture Captain is about an hour and a half away.Basically, if they build it, they will come. Every store in our area but one (of 7) have people other than the Venture captain coordinating games.
I say this because I get the impression (several times) that some people are just kinda waiting for a designated leader, like a Venture Captain/Lieutenant to organize everything or that they somehow need permission.
Run your semi weekly events in Sacramento. Then apply if you want the position.

Interesting Note, 2 new Texas location were added Venture-Captains Wanted list:
Amarillo, TX
Odessa / Midland, TX
I did not even know there was a significant PFS presence in those locations.

Probably a special PFS rule allowing cows to fill in if there's not enough players to make a table is in order...
I jest, I jest!

Just a suggestion here, listing everyone's e-mail in plain text is an excellent way to increase their spam e-mail.
Listing e-mails in plain text may be a conscious choice on your part but if I have to publicly list e-mails I either put them in images or Cyrillic homoglyphs.

Sajuuk,
Definitely send us an email. While Brett is correct in stating we are looking to focus mostly in the Albany area I do want to see more groups start up all around NY. If there is anything I can do to help let me know. Thanks,
Evan
