Whoops, seems I forgot to roll SM vs the guard. But at SM +26 (forgot to add good hope and the bonus is also 2 higher than I thought it was, high wisdom OP?), Elrys cannot fail that check.

@Everyone I feel like it shouldn't be purely my decision if we finish this diplomatically and evade a fight here if that is what people prefer.

If we do though, it feels like the next diplo check might be the last one. What should Elrys mention to really turn him on the League? I am inclined towards some passionate plea regarding how his people are being abused elsewhere in the nation, or even inside the city, while they seek to control him via drugs. However, as I was only here from near the start of book 4, I don't have too many of those examples. I can make stuff up, sure, but maybe others can chime in on what they've seen throughout the books regarding the League's many crimes?

I am happy to avoid the fight or limit how many we have to fight if it goes that way. Dilana does not have much to offer in this sort of situation (Diplomacy +0 and Sense Motive +1) as she can't really read people any better then my three year old can.

I mean, sure, but are there any particularly vile acts the technic league has performed during this campaign, to reference them? I havent seen at least the first half and only really encountered the slayer they sent to the scar of the spider to scout it. And the drugs here.

The vibe I get is this guy mostly only cares about himself so I recommend focusing in that direction. I am fine avoiding the fight with diplo if that can work, but we might need to take out the guy who is about to interfere.

Olimpia was owned by the Technic league and considered is slavery. But I doubt if this guy cares about that.

I'm going in for a couple of procedures on Wednesday. Today I am preparing for those procedures. These are a Colonoscopy and a Gastroendoscopy. Preparations are very unpleasant. :)

Hopefully this will find the source of my internal problems and get a solution sorted.

The procedures went well. The prep is indeed the worst part.

Nothing wrong with my stomach, a couple of minor problems in my colon which were quickly and painlessly fixed there and then. Sadly no sign of what could be causing my anemia? So more tests I guess.

I did have to stop taking the iron tablets 5 days before the procedure and it was very noticeable how much I need them. Back on them now and feeling slightly better.

I'm taking today off to recover as flushing your insides out the cameras get a clear view does throw you off. :)

I just wanted to ask, out of curiosity: when I made Elrys, the recruitment thread stated that knowledge: engineering and heal as skills would be very good to have. However, I don't think there have been that many opportunities to actually use either? Have we missed story-related important uses of those along the way since the start of book 4?

I could have been mistaken. In my live game of Iron gods my Cleric had both at maximum. He was constantly installing cyberware which uses those two skills. We had a cyberware based character but sadly they dropped out in the last book.

Heal is for installing Cyberware in a willing patient.

Knowledge Engineering lets you identify Cyberware. So it is important, but not as important as Heal.

And as a broad hint there are a number of pieces of cyberware to come that are very desirable. :)

Back from the cruise. It was a little different post covid but that worked better for me. The biggest change was that, instead of tables of ten with random people, you ate with the people you are traveling with. That removed 90% of the forced talking to strangers for me so it was a win.

Overall I would say it was a good experience.

Glad the procedure didn't find anything bad at least GM. Hope your feeling better and they sort it soon.

The book says you should be level 15 when attacking the League headquarters. So get to leveling up.

It takes time to gather the Sovereigns forces so you do have time to rest and memorize spells etc.

Is the league headquarters where we would allegedly find unity or is that further below the city?

The city is called Silvermount as it's built against the mound made by the crashed spaceship which is where Unity is at the moment.

The Technic league controls the only way in so dealing with them first works best for you.

The league headquarters holds all the Technic league leaders. Lots of high level Technomancers to meet and have fun with.

@DbH thanks. Do we actually have 6 six days to prepare or do we not, for that bow enchant? Afaik there isn't immediate narritive pressute but 6 days does feel like a long time. How long does the Sovereign need?
