Golarion Day: Inner Sea World Guide Preview

OMG! GUESS WHAT HAPPENS NEXT WEEK? THE INNER SEA WORLD GUIDE DOES!

Seems like I've been working on this book for a year. Oh, wait. That's pretty much correct. Feels good that it's finally about to hit store shelves and reach subscribers. In the meantime... as proof that it exists... here are five screen shots I just took of five pages from the book, to whet appetites and let folks know just how awesome looking this book is going to be.

+1 it looks really amazing.

+3.

i will get both the PDF and the book.

So the Spine dragon has wings but can't fly? and only a land speed of 30?

Not in this book.

Someday, though, he will be.

I'll just hope it's soon then. ^_~

I wonder is there something new in this campaign setting, cause I don't remember those knights of Abendego,

The Knights of Abendego are indeed new. That's kinda why I chose to show those pages off. There's a LOT of new content in the book.

For the record, the Knights were already in the old CS, except they were called Knights of Salvation or something like that.

Nope. The Knights of Abendego are new. They're a gang of scavengers who live in Jula, one of several scavenger groups that sort of fit the same role as the gangs of thugs that show up in all the post-apocalyptic settings.

I was hoping someone would find an error in these pages, so that my paranoia about the first error being found and reported in the book could be justified!

His fly speed is missing for whatever reason, alas. Should be Fly 60 (average). His fly skill is in there among his skills fine and dandy.

His land speed is correct. He's not that fast.

Anyway... first error logged in the book! Woo. At least it's not like the first error we noticed in the previous edition, which was a typo in a word that had letters like an inch tall.

Will the giant robot scorpion with gatling guns for arms and a particle accelerator cannon for a tail be stated as well?

Not in this book.

Someday, though, he will be.

If that hint applies to an upcoming AP (say in an anniversary year) villain I would glad to hear it.

Nothing about Numeria has anything to do with an anniversary of any sort.

Note: I did NOT say "Nothing about Numeria has anything to do with an adventure path."

Make of that what you will. ;-P

I feel like Nethys right now.

Inner Sea Reigon is going to haunt you until the End of Days. :P

I'm going to treasure that map. Who knows, it might become the RPG-industry's answer to the yellow three-shilling banco stamp. ;)

Soooo any new Iconic art in there at all?(Lini being a very specific example.)

There's a new piece of art on page 4 that shows Merisiel and Seoni in Varisia as a giant stone statue of Karzoug is animating and preparing to attack them... and that's it.

Not a lot of iconics show up in the artwork of this book at all.

Question: Is every region/country going to have a map of it alone in its section of the book? This is something i thought was missing from the first book!
Cheers!

With the exception of the Darklands, yes, every region has its own zoomed-in regional map, like what you see above for the Sodden Lands.

Barry White and Marvin Gaye started singing as I looked upon the preview images.

Oh yes.

Love that the Shoanti have finally arrived. Really digging the map detailing on each entry too.

Just for the record, this raspberry is for both you guys > PFFFFPPPFTTTTT!!! So there!

+2 on the $9.99 PDF price - I will go this route, while saving up the fifty bucks to get the book. Maybe I'll win one...somewhere....

Yep, I completely agree; 'tis yet another feather in Sarah's cap!
Credit where credit's due: this one was designed and laid out by our graphic designer, Andrew, who gave Sarah a much-needed break from laying out another hardcover tome.

I was wrong? Mark, you should know that is not possible... ;)

Alright, alright! Congrats, Andrew -- that's some great work there, and it's definitely a feather in your cap! :)

Funny...from the picture I'd have ventured they were an knightly order devoted to rescuing people on the coasts or fighting deep sea terrors (such as Kraken and other such horrors). Guess that teaches me to not judge a book by it's cover. ^_~

I already have it! its marvelous it's it's ... superb.. the quality, the paper! the cover... it feels just godly.... makes me feel UberGM.

what?

what?

stop that mumble...

I suspect not.

Now that we have this version, I don't even look at the old book anymore, let alone the map.
