Sadrib the Enlightened

I am not convinced about the elevator... I've never been in one before. But I will go any way we decide.
Sadrib wanted to avoid that weir thing called elevator, but, if his companions were going to use it, we would not stay behind.

The mine carts sit on a double track that descends down a steep tunnel. Each pair of carts connects to a pulley assemblage by chains, which an operator can move using a large windlass at the top of the tunnel. Each cart can hold up to three Medium creatures and has a smaller windlass, allowing a creature to ascend or descend unaided.
The old cargo elevator is currently inoperable due to several jammed mechanisms. Roll Knowledge engineering to diagnose the problem.
| The Shining Knight |
"These cart wheels are a touch rusty! Some lamp oil or the like would fix the problem!"
Knowledge (dungeoneering): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
| The Shining Knight |
"Then let the wheels shriek like the veritable erinyes of Hell itself, as we must give chase!" The Shining Knight uses the windlass to get the cart moving.
I'm not sure who's coming with me, but my personal motto is: "Always split the party!"

Well.... it's fairly obvious that if anyone is down there, they know you're coming. Make perception checks.

The Shining Knights shouts encouragement as the screeching cart rolls down the railing.

Anyone who exceeds 24 notices the outlines of a pit trap halfway down the track. It can be disabled by means of a hidden switch (perception 25+ will see it) or by using Disable Device.
Subotai Jelme

"I think I see a trap of sorts about halfway down the track... looks like a pit trap... looks like it will hurt...I do not see a switch that will disable it though." Subotai says to the others while pointing down the track line.

"Fear not! With enough speed, we'll leap the impending chasm of doom!

Surprisingly, the Shining Knight's proclamation proves to be correct, although it can be said that having most of the weight towards the rear of the cart did help. You did manage to leap the pit and stay on the track without catching the edge of the far side.
Of course with the noise you were all making, it's clear that the opposition is very much aware that you are coming and have prepared, but at least you weren't knocked prone and caught in a vulnerable position as the combat starts.
Initiatives:
Alexis: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Klara: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Sadrib: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20
Shiny: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Sirlicks: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28

green: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
yellow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Each of them have a 10ft Aura of Cowardice around them and are displaying Holy symbols of Rovagug on their armour. Shiny has flashbacks to that Tien maiden anti-paladin on a previous mission.
Sirlicks and Sadrib are up before Red and Blue.
Sirlicks Alott24

Sirlicks will glitterdust red blue and I think green then start his inspire courage +2+2 and within 30' flagbearer for +1+1 . Prettyfly his familiar with move us back 10" if possible.
DC 17 will vs blind (save each round max 5 rounds)

Sadrib the Enlightened

Sadrib prays to her goddes and a scimitar of pure force appears attacking on of the Rovagug disciples.
I cast spiritual weapon to attack red. Then I move back

will(green): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
will(blue): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
All of them save v blindness. The spiritual weapon misses. Red and Blue charge up. Red attacks Shiny and Blue goes for Sadrib.
Don't forget to save v their auras of cowardice.
Red v Shiny with Smite Good.
dwarven warhammer: 1d20 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 10 + 3 = 28 damage: 1d10 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 6 = 20

dwarven warhammer: 1d20 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 10 + 3 = 25 damage: 1d10 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 6 = 13

I got the tokens mixed up. Blue attacked Subotai instead.
| The Shining Knight |
The Shining Knight audibly groans from the unholy warrior's slash before responding with some of his own!
Full Attack.
Power Attack # 1 w/ +1 limning longsword (inspire/flag) vs Red: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 2 + 1 = 24

Power Attack # 2 w/ +1 limning longsword (inspire/flag) vs Red: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 21
damage (S): 1d8 + 10 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 10 + 2 + 1 = 21
@GM: I don't think there's a save vs Aura of Cowardice (it just provides a penalty to saves vs fear from other effects).

Shiny hits twice ((Red -39)) They waver but do not go down.
Yellow let's go a Channel Negative Energy with a Selective Channel.. Everyone takes negative: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 6) = 12 will save DC 16 for half.
Alexis is up before Green.
Alexis "The Odd" Trismegistis
|
Will save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 No prob.
Alexis appears completely unaffected by the show of baleful power.
In retaliation, she attempts something altogether new: Waving a small crystal rod through the air like a conductor's baton, she conducts The Visitation of Aurora, and mysterious coruscating globes and fiery ripples begin to dance through the air over the wicked templars' heads!
How many HD affected?: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 2) + 4 = 7
Will DC is 16. Also, the above roll is ASSUMING we didn't get to use that Incense on the way over here, which, if we didn't have time to use it, it doesn't make much sense why we were given it in the first place.
Scarab of the Second Throne

Alexis appears completely unaffected by the show of baleful power.
Will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
The same cannot be said of her amulet, although it does seem to resist fairly well.
| The Shining Knight |
The Shining Knight absorbs the full force of the black coruscating energy blast!
Will save vs channel): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

I presume the clockwork secretary is some sort of construct
Also since each of them are CR 5, I presume you can only affect one at this stage.
1(green),2(yellow): 1d2 ⇒ 2
will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Green rushes up to fill in the gap and attacks Subotai with a Smite
dwarven warhammer: 1d20 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 10 + 3 = 19 damage: 1d10 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 6 = 15
Klara, Sirlicks and Sadrib are up before Red and Blue.
Klara Korvosa
|
Will save DC 16: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Her armor protects her almost completely from negative energy. Deathless armor quality, hp 39/41
She strikes the green with her spear and steps toward the tunnel.

The scimitar made of force misses again. Seeing that there are many enemies, Sadrib prays to her goddess to give her enough strength to fight them all.
Sadrib casts bull's strength on himself and draws his scimitar.

No hits from anyone although Klara came close.
Red v Shiny with Smite Good.
dwarven warhammer: 1d20 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 3 = 30 damage: 1d10 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 6 = 17
Blue v Sadrib with Smite Good. Blue also steps around to get closer to Sirlicks
dwarven warhammer: 1d20 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 10 + 3 = 18 damage: 1d10 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 6 = 18
Note that they have the Step Up feat. They also have coordinated defense.
Subotai and Shiny are up before Yellow.
| The Shining Knight |
The Shining Knight collapses!
I drop to -1. On my turn, I'll roll to see if I automatically stabilise.

The first attack is enough. Red collapses to the ground.
Yellow lets loose another channel negative: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 1) = 7 DC 16 will for half.
Alexis is up before Green.
| The Shining Knight |
The Shining Knight resists the worst of the negative energy blast, but his wounds again open up!
Will save vs channel (DC 16): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
I made the save, but having taken damage, am no longer stable.
Alexis "The Odd" Trismegistis
|
Terribly sorry...
Red v Shiny with Smite Good.
dwarven warhammer1d20 + 10 + 3
This hammer wouldn't happen to have a head resembling a criosphinx, would it...?
I presume the clockwork secretary is some sort of construct
Yes.
Will save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Again, Alexis appears mysteriously unfazed. The space around her momentarily darkens as she makes a gesture toward the nearer templar, and the space around him suddenly erupts into a dazzling spiral of twinkling, snapping starlight!
For the next 2 rounds, Very Mean Joe-Green sheds light as a candle, cannot benefit from concealment or invisibility effects, and takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls and sight-based Perception checks!

The scenario doesn't say but would it be more hilarious if it did?
VMJG doesn't like being lit up like that. Hey. I can't be dark, mysterious and brooding any more. This sucks.
Not being able to get to Alexis, he goes for Subotai with another Smite
dwarven warhammer: 1d20 + 10 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 10 + 3 - 2 = 18 damage: 1d10 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 6 = 16

Subotai and Shiny are up before Yellow.
| The Shining Knight |
The Shining Knight wakes up, finding himself on the ground, still in the midst of the battle! "Oww!" he groans, before remembering himself. "I mean . . . huzzah!". He gets to his feet, carefully guarding his wounded abdomen.
Total defence and a move action to stand up, which will provoke an AoO.
