Corgrim, I'm not seeing anything that would disallow you from using Bleeding Attack with your ranged attack, as long the ranged attack qualifies for sneak attack, which requires them to be flat-footed and within 30 feet. At the moment, I don't think Red is flat-footed, without you making a stealth check with cover, like by getting behind the bar, and sniping like that is generally really hard at this distnace. BobbieFor the record, I don't believe that you can cleave with the AoO, since Cleave is a standard action, and AoOs are not standard actions. Everyone, if you're adding modifiers to your attack, please make sure you're labeling what that modifier comes from. People have been putting in a +4 bonus, I believe, because their target is prone. Technically, its a -4 to my AC. I get why you are doing this, you don't want me to forget, but it has meant that I originally think you've hit, and then realized you've added a bonus when I already took the penalty into account.
Leon's scythe cuts a vicious swathe against Orange. Red collapses after an arrow punches through his wooly shirt. A swift breeze might knock over Black after Bobbie's blade is through with him.
Purple tries to stand up in the chicken fat... Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 and tries to punch Cayden. Cestus vs Cayden's AC: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Critical Confirmation: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 Bludgeoning Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Well, as this is a spell from the enchantment (compulsion) school with the [emotion], [fear] and [mind-affecting] descriptors, it surely is good to have a level 4 Paladin (Shannon) in the party! :-)
At 3rd level, a paladin is immune to fear (magical or otherwise). Each ally within 10 feet of her gains a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against fear effects. This ability functions only while the paladin is conscious, not if she is unconscious or dead.
So Shannon is immune, and Leon gets the +4 morale bonus of her aura.

For some reason, Gorum's might doesn't manifest as none of the Pathfinders fall victim to the bane. Surely this isn't a portent about the future.
I'm gonna call it there. All the remaining guys basically can't take another hit, and why spend another few days for a foregone conclusion.

As the fight winds down with the Pathfinders victorious, the man who claims he isn't Hjort peeks out from beneath the barstool. "Please don't kill me."

"I'll need the wand over here too," Bobbie calls out to Corba.

"I don't know where Hjort is right now, he keeps on the move, but I know where he's probably going to be. He's probably there right now, if he knows that the Pathfinder's are in town. He's bringing a team of thugs to the armory here in Trollheim. He figures that between the Pathfinder raids on the fishing villages, including his home village, and his false-flag, he can get the Linnorm Kings to throw the Society out." He then gives directions to the armory.

No, he can't do that. Probably he can badmouth us and the Society around, but thats a minor nuisance, thats all. The Linlorn Kings wont listen, and even if they do, they won't act together as a united front.

![]() |

"If killing a linnorm (average CR18) is enough to be a king here, then there isn't enough land up here for the qualified linnorm kings and queens we have back in the Society..."

Bobbie scoffs. "What raid on fishing villages? I've never heard of such things. The Society has no interest in terrifying the poor and pillaging fishermen's shacks."
"Where's the armory?"

GM Ultra Plus |

"I didn't hire them, Hjort gave them a few coins to beat up any nosy foreigners who came in and bothered me. He paid me to sit here until some nosy foreigners came in and bothered me," the redhead says, "It was like looking into a mirror, looking at that guy."
To be fair, Shannon, I believe the bar is to kill a linnorm single-handedly.
The look-alike turns to Bobbie, "I've no goblin dog in this fight, but Hjort claims his village is one in a series of villages scoured by a group of Pathfinder agents, with the little magical compasses jangling from their belts." And he will, again, give directions to the armory.

Should I scout the place before we attack? We don't know if Hjort is alone, and how prepared he might be. I find this bar room brawl was a dangerous diversion, it could have turned worse, so the man isn't a brainless brute, but someone able and willingg to think and plan.

"Fine. Scout the place then. I'll check what those mercenaries have on them first. And you," Bobbie glares at the fake Hjort. "You keep away from all of this, and nothing bad will happen to you. Understood?"

GM Ultra Plus |

So sorry for the delay. Awful bout of insomnia the past few days, left with little energy for anything besides work and homework. As for the Ulfen brawlers, it makes no difference for like reporting purposes. I assumed you didn't kill them all, and could have used Heal checks to stabilize. They, besides the priests, each had a potion of bull's strength, so there's one for everyone and two people can have two. Other than that, I guess you have as many masterwork cestuses to fully arm an octopus
The armory is a purposefully nondescript building with no ornamentation or really any indication of what's inside. However, a few guards, bearing the badges of the Castellan Darkwine stand outside, talking in Skald.
I'm assuming you'd scout by trying stealth checks, Corgim?
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

![]() |

Bobbie helps herself to a potion. "I'd like another one, if no one is interested. Weird that they didn't use them."
She shakes her head. What was the point of preparing magical enhancements to win the fight if you weren't going to use them?
Were these people amateurs?

![]() |

Leon takes two as well and rumbles a possible answer, ”Prolleh tawt we wus week.”
Later, he waits for the scout to come back and report.

![]() |

Corba doesn’t really need a potion of bull's strength, so somebody else can have two.

![]() |

The rogue comes back.
Sorry, I'm adept at picking locks, but the language barrier was too much for me. I didn't heard the guards speaking about Hjort anyway, that's all I can say.
GM: were they two or three guards? Not related, but I'll gladly take a potion of bull strenght and a cestus

![]() |

"Maybe they'll switch to Common after we've kicked their ass," Bobbie suggests optimistically.
Back from the trip, but I'll leave again to visit a friend between August 5th-8th. No access to maps. But then I'll be back for good! :P
