Examining the man, you notice that he's unconscious and his skin is red and chafed from frostbite.
Any ability to restore hp will revive him

Glinda cuts the man free and Moonshadow gives him some much needed healing.
The man groans as he regains consciousness. "Wh- who are you? Is my brother alive?"

While you talk to the man? You have time to heal up as well. We can pretty much hand wave healing if it's just damage...

"I am Pytrdir. My brother is Mikoceer. Is he alive?"

![]() |

"Thank the gods he's alive. I foolishly assumed the entire bandit crew would aid me when I challenged Foroxicks. I believe that mocking Foroxicks is the key to his defeat. Injuring that vain bully’s pride makes him reckless. I couldn’t take advantage of that weakness; maybe you can."
You make your way to the 'throne room'.
Any special preparations before you go charging in?

A mishmash of the finest stolen trade goods transforms this once simple barracks into a bizarre throne room. Gaudy drapery—made of silks from Tian Xia, Jalmeray, and Isger— decorates the walls. A brilliant blue rug woven with metallic silver thread stretches across the floor, stopping before a finely crafted divan. The divan is elevated in front of several gold mirrors, placed to reflect the occupant of this makeshift throne. The flag of Irrisen hangs above, painted with three red horizontal stripes in mockery of Queen Anastasia’s rule.
You see a large white wolf, accompanied by a pair of smaller creatures.
"Well now, what have we here?" the large creature sitting on the divan growls.

At your words, the large creature on the divan snarls in rage. "Kill them! We will eat well tonight!"

Glinda and Namre take down Foroxicks. At their leader's demise, the two wolves assume a defeated posture and stop fighting. Moonshadow takes Foroxicks' carcass as a trophy. As you explore remaining parts of the fort, whatever bandits who remain in the fort surrender immediately when they see that their leader has been slain.
COMBAT OVER
The storm dissipates the day after. You return the recovered trade goods and any captured bandits to the Iceferry Lodge by procuring a horse capable of pulling the supply sled located in the stable. Venture-Captain Bjersig, thrilled with your success, assures you that your mission will strengthen the growing alliance between the Pathfinder Society and Queen Anastasia, who orders a trial for the surviving bandits. This is in stark contrast to previous rulers, who put bandits and rebels to death. Word of the trial spreads quickly throughout Irrisen, providing additional evidence that Queen Anastasia’s kinder, gentler rule is sincere.
FIN
There was at least one other combat encounter had you explored the fort but you decided to go for the BBEG straightaway :)
Thanks for playing!
