WIll: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Celly bends the mind of the monster, George brings arcane fury, while Atu tries to channel divine might with less efficacy (and accuracy).
Trober takes a pot-shot from behind his barricade, and the sonic is enough to hurt the underwater predator.
Sakorus then stabs his assailant with mighty force, and impales the heart of the creature, leaving it drifting motionless.
The last monster finishes off the water elemental, before moving right up to Celly and Trober

Celly blasts the mind of the sea-floor predator into next week, leaving a demented husk of near-lifeless tentacles. That one isn't going to bother anyone anymore.
Combat over!
Beyond the trench, An ancient ruin sprawls atop a massive stone platform that rises above the ocean floor on towering metal supports. The focus of this ruin is a slender spire of stone and shell that rises at least 50 feet and is topped by a strange-looking dome. Around its base is a series of smaller structures, their walls half-buried in silt. The entire site is coated in coral, barnacles, seaweed, and other aquatic growths and ocean detritus.
The once grand entry to the lower ruins is buried under centuries of silt and ocean debris. A few squat stone structures rise from this morass, their walls caked with barnacles, algae, and other growths. Between these structures are two wide planting beds, now an overflowing mass of arctic sea pens and tangled kelp that rises over 30 feet. In the distance looms the entrance to a cracked and crooked spire.
There's a sea green morlamaw here, tending to the Kelp gardens and completely ignoring the Starfinders.

"I just need a sit down for a few minutes. Legless crabs, why do these kind of things always happen to me..."
Trober only took stamina damage. If possible I'll spend 1 resolve point and have him take a 10 minute break to regain what he lost.

![]() |

Good then. We wouldn't want this mission to end with even less Starfinders. Atu says. And catch your breath - we would have been just as frightened if that thing had make a chomping beeline towards us.
Happy that the dromada seems all right for now the spathinae calls out to the morlamaw below.

![]() |

George 09-23 shrugs. The android speaks fourteen languages but not Morlamaw.
"Perhaps someone can communicate with the creature magically?"
Normally I would summon an Aeon to communicate telepathically with the creature but we are underwater here. :)
@AbadarCorp Entertainment - I am assuming that Telepathic Message will only work with a shared language otherwise why bother with the Tongues spell. :)

![]() |

We have some magick for such an occasion. Atu replies.
They swim carefully towards the morlamaw and attempt to pantomime out the casting of a spell and then talking to one another.
If the gardener seems willing, the spathinae will cast Share Language on them to allow them to understand and speak Common

![]() |

"Maybe he just wants to be left alone..."
Trober takes a 10 minute rest and spends one resolve point to regain stamina if that is possible.

AbadarCorp Entertainment |

Yes, Telepathic message is language dependent
Ah, much better the morlamaw says after accepting Atu's Share language spell.
He then proceeds to recount what happened, with a nervousness that matches that of Trober. We stopped at glass ruin to investigate, but were attacked by osifern, and had to flee.
When we were back on the sub, I noticed that Hinevera lost her tusk cap. We also didn't notice that the osiferns had been following us, so we were ambushed when they emerged at the dock site. Pri-Pri was badly injured and fled into the ruin.
Out plan was to lend medical aid and regroup, but once we passed the first set of buildings, a haunting started. Lekeetri swam to the south and Iyuurhoi to the north, right before I succumbed to the possession. After that, everything is a blur: there was a line of morlamaws that swam to him in a downward spiral. He shook the flippers of a woman that looked like his cousin. After that, I recall nothing...

![]() |

A haunting? Atu expresses with concern. Are you all right now? Rest, get some food.
Turning to the others, they say: If Pri-Pri is already hurt, discovering them is vital. Atu then asks Asthemir I presume? Does you team have its own comm frequency. To try and contact them and locate where they have been scattered?

![]() |

Sakorus asks the morlamaw, "you appeared to be doing some light gardening, while you were, ah, 'afflicted?' Do you recall anything about what you were doing, or why?"
After a pause, almost as an afterthought, he'll add, "Oh, and - what is the local crab population like? Giant? I should very much like to procure some exoskeleton samples!"
As it becomes clear that fighting possessed morlamaw may be in our future, Sakorus steps aside for a few minutes, setting his injection weaponry to the odobenidae setting. Calibrating Do More Harm for morlamaws.

AbadarCorp Entertainment |

Asthemir indeed - glad you came to help. The legless crabs are called Osiferns. You said you were attacked by them? They're clever hunters, and they followed us. There were two of them at the time, but I don't know if there are any more...
Own comm frequency? I suppose that would have been smart...
Where do you want to go next? You can put your token on the map on the 'crossroads'. North is left, south is right.

A still glowing Celestia, descends to the rest of the party, still looking like she's just wearing a gold bikini.
She also takes quite a few pictures of the underwater observatory. Ooooh. Amy is SO going to want to see this.
Of course she starts moving in that direction.
