As the cube charges forward, Squall almost get sucked in, but through a heroic effort he pulls free minus a few feathers. Kit’s quick reflexes allow him to jump out of the cube’s path. Marguerite also jumps to the side before the cube engulfs her. Djala holds her breath as the cube flows through her space, emerging on the other side, barely avoiding a sticky death.
R!Kktik moves back a few feet and lobs another bomb, hitting the Gelatinous ooze with fire. The smell of burnt ooze is everywhere.
Drake snaps his fingers, sending another blast of fire washing over the cube. Before moving back a few more feet. The cube undulates from the burning.
Squall redoubles his efforts slicing and dicing the cube like a mad chef with bits of gelatin flying in all directions.
Marguerite’s sling stone strikes true, embedding deeply into the cube.
Dripping in goo, Djala shouts angrily at the monster as she chops repeatedly with her glaive, cutting large chunks of ooze away from the creature.
Galesong coughs ” I think it’s dead now. You can stop attacking it.”
Combat is over.
Sure enough, the mangled blob of ooze, half burnt, is no longer moving. Inside the goo is a suit of full-plate armor sized to a dwarf, and needs a good wash. Also, a glowing battle axe with a +1 rune that gives off as much light as a torch and bears an inscription ”Glintaxe”
Holding their nose, Munrisk looks sick, ” Guy’s I can’t stay down here! I’ll meet you back at camp.” The kobold flees back up the stairs.
Squall spots a slender bone scroll tube behind the southernmost bed. The tube contains a scroll of remove curse.
Trying to treat his wounds, Galesong mumbles ”Glintaxe? Wasn’t there a dwarven adventure by that name?” His burns don’t seem any better for his efforts.
Shrugging, Galesong asks ”Which way now?”

"Here, friend Galesong. Let me aid you." She lays a hand on Galesong's shoulder, healing him.

The group searches the room thoroughly, but finds nothing more beyond the slender bone scroll tube with the scroll of remove curse.
Returning to the main entrance, the group explores the north hallway.
To the north of the intersection, you see a small chamber with a large fountain. Steam rolls off the water pouring from a stone obelisk at the fountain’s center, filling the entire chamber with a hot, damp obscuring haze.
To the east you spot a headless corpse wearing patchwork leather armor lies sprawled at this corridor junction. Five giant rats feed noisily on the rotting carcass until interrupted by your presence. The hungry rats hiss preparing to attack the fresh meals!

The bard makes a look of surprise as he recalls ” Vargouille’s Kiss! A vargouille is larger than a human head, typically between 12 and 20 inches high with a 15- to 35-inch wingspan. Drake asks if everyone is ready and promises to stay behind the front line this time.
Squall agrees, moving to the entrance and looking around carefully.
Tik nods in agreement and follows them to the steam room.
This small chamber features a large fountain. Steam rolls off water pouring from a stone obelisk at the fountain’s center, filling the entire chamber with its haze and damp.
The dwarven cultists created this fountain by tapping into an existing hot spring. The water is thick with minerals and tastes of stone, and the mist created by the hot spring fills this chamber enough to impose a slight challenge to Perception but not enough to provide cover. (a –1 circumstance penalty to vision-based Perception checks)
Stepping into the hot damp room, Squall and Djala disturb a nest of three small lazy brightly colored lizards lounging in the fountain. With a mentality of a pack of dogs the lizards raise their frill and begin hissing at the group menacingly.
Galesong chuckles at the cute things hissing, ” Ah, bet their bite is worse than their bark!” that inspires your group to action. The bard makes a hand motion, causing some loose rocks to slam into the blue hissing lizard. The lizard hisses loudly at Galesong.

Squall steps up and starts stabbing the blue lizard getting two hits on the tough little lizard with his shortsword. The bloody lizard screeches and hiss at the Tengu still with plenty of fight still left in it.
The blue lizard bites at Squall but misses. It then begins to crackle with electricity before discharging in a 10 foot emanation catching only Squall in the effect. The Orange lizard reacts by amplifying the Voltage. (Squall Reflex DC20 vs 8 points electrical damage.)
The gold lizard bites Squall wounding him before It then gives off a 10ft blast of electricity catching Squall and Djala in the area. The Blue lizard reacts by amplifying the Voltage. (Squall and Djala Reflex DC20 vs 10 points electrical damage.)
(assuming Djala takes Retributive strike reaction against gold for biting Squall)
The Orange lizard moves forward and discharges an electric blast amplified by the gold lizard catching both Squall, Djala, and R!Kktik in the area effect.
(Squall, Djala, and R!Kktik Reflex DC20 vs 8 points electrical damage.)
Galesong exclaims ” Wow! Bug zapping lizards, what other shocking animals live here?” He inspires the group to fight harder and flings more rocks at the blue lizard hitting. While looking battered it’s not dead yet!.

Up to four shocker lizards can combine their Shocking Bursts. In this case, the lizards can delay the release of their electricity until any other shocker lizard within 30 feet completes its Shocking Burst. The combined Shocking Bursts create an emanation with the combined area from all participating shocker lizards. For each additional shocker lizard that joins the burst, the damage increases by 3D8, and the save DC increases by 1 (to a maximum of four lizards dealing damage 12d8 with a DC 21 save).
