Eddie stares slowly at the two beings as Nykor and Desmond communicate apparently "Huh. No ears..." They feel for their own under-developed ear holes and wonder what its like to be deaf.
They follow the story given by Vrisk, looking back and forth between the golem and the unusually quiet skull. "So Zazzy, does this make sense to you?" Eddie asks, still really trying to make sense of it all themself.
Eddie will try to use their powers of sense motive to see if things seem legit. Expert Perception +12

Desmond smiles and turns the skull around. "Arclord Alyreha Tzonnek, it is an honor to meet you."
He looks up at Vrisk. "Do you know of any way to restore her memories?"

GM chadius |

"That... I am not fully aware of." Vrisk frowns. "It was difficult to request for help on this matter. I seemed to be the only person who truly remembered what happened. And given my... appearance, few would listen to me."
"WAIT!" The skull bobs up and down. "I remember! I really AM Arclord Alyreha Tzonnek! I made Vrisk! I mentored Gabranaya and we made the song! Wow. Head rush!" She bobs too and fro.
"Hey. Everyone. Thanks. We should return to the Nexus House. I got a lot of research ahead of me! And you have to help of course!"
"I wish you safe travels." Vrisk pulls out a silver morningstar. "This may come in handy, use it for defense and study."
This is a +1 striking low-grade silver morningstar.
"I will activate a transportation circle. Take a moment to collect yourselves before you return."

![]() |

"That is a nasty looking weapon.. but not my kind of thing," Nykor says.
"Well at least it's coming back to you now, talking skull... thing.."

![]() |

Landon gives Vrisk a polite bow as the group prepares to leave. If nobody objects, he takes the morningstar and hangs it from a loop on his belt.
"That wasn't too hard. Tell us Zyk... er, Arclord Tzonnek, what will you do now? Do you plan to retake your old life, or continue your new beginning as Zykyryz?"
He pauses in thought for a moment before adding, "Now that I mention it, do you have any recollection of how you came to your current...condition?"

"Heh. If I remembered that I would have asked Vrisk to carry me around!" She chuckles. "At least until he declares alas, poor Alyreha and holds me up like I'm a prop in a play." She laughs.
Vrisk offers you transport back home and tells you he will inform the carpet driver outside. The proto‑golem offers to cast a sigil on each of you. "This is the symbol arclord used. it should help you."
Back at the lodge, Sebnet leads the way to an underground library, each room boasting concave mirrors that reflect and diffuse the light emanating from a massive central orrery, providing illumination to the whole space.
“Pathfinders, this is the Library of Reflection. All the tomes and scrolls here are extremely fragile, so any form of sunlight or flames are forbidden. Somehow, thanks to you restoring her, I remember Alyreha, and that she used to spend long hours here researching... something. Thanks to this wondrous bit of magical resonance you’ve discovered, I sense we may have a limited window of time to track down what secrets she was seeking to uncover!”
To conduct this timely research, you can attempt three checks using skills associated with the four magical traditions: Arcana, Nature, Occultism, and Religion. You can also use the Athletics skill to help carry heavy tomes around the library, and relevant Lore skills.
Vrisk's arcane mark pulses with light when you approach some of the books. Alyreha turns. "Hey, I touched that recently. I don't remember what I did with it, exactly." Anyone with Vrisk's sigil reduce their DCs by 1

Desmond shrugs, accepting the sigil. "I guess I don't mind. A bit like a magical tattoo, yeah?"

Desmond and Shinju begin a careful balancing act where they move stacks of books without toppling them and they manage to make some progress. (3 successes)
Landon uses his occult knowledge to add information about spiritual transfers, as well as the innate arcane knowledge required to pull it off. Nykor struggles to make a breakthrough. (2 successes)
Eddie finds some tasty books. Just a nibble, the written words on them are useful too! (2 successes)
By the end of the day, you are exhausted, but rewarded with a trove of information. You learn the arclord was studying true names, an extremely rare form of magic that can be used to control others or to unlock one’s own inner power. You also learn that Alyreha was on the cusp of creating new rituals using true names to benefit the ritualist rather than to bind others. With more time or more progress you may have learned more, but that is good for now.
Your quick investigation gives you time to discover a scroll of >thoughtful gift< in the library. You also discover a scroll of >charitable urge<.
"So I was looking up some kind of ritual? It would be nice to help people figure out their true potential. Maybe I forgot to carry the 3 along the way and I got stuck in here." She chuckles. "Bonehead!" She begins to laugh at her own joke.
Sebnet jolts from underneath the books she was definitely reading and not sleeping under. "Alright, everyone." Sebnet lifts her head and mumbles. "Get some rest, I'll debrief you in the morning."

Nykor yawns. "Sounds about time.." He finds some cheese for the rats around here and Mouse, his familiar, before heading to bed.

"Yeah, I do. I don't need my body to refresh, but I'll go bonkers if I don't rest and get some shuteye."
You are fully healed and get time to restore your spells and finish your daily preparations before you get summoned.
Early in the morning, Sebnet Sanserkoht smiles as she walks past the glowing orrery in the library’s central chamber, her many bangles announcing her presence before she’s seen. She carefully balances a tray bearing a carafe of orange juice, a pot of freshly brewed coffee, and a hot plate containing sizzling bacon and steaming biscuits. "Thank you for helping Alyreha with her memories. The Society is grateful for all of your hard work. So, eat up, we'll open a portal in a few hours and you'll be back home before you can shake a leg!"
The En-
Suddenly, an explosion shakes the lodge to its foundations! The orrery shatters, a concussive wave of magic knocking the vash-vatom unconscious. A contingency spell stored in one of her jewelry pieces teleports Sebnet away to safety as a shadowy figure emerges from invisibility, just before the entire library is plunged into total darkness, heralded by the sound of breakfast crashing to the floor.
An inky voice whispers from the dark. “Finally, we’ve found you. Get the skull!”
"Oh no, this is bad!" Alyreha clatters. "Good news: I'm an Arclord, I have plenty of magic to assist you! Hey, who's holding me again? And who wants haste?"

GM chadius |

The library is completely dark, you will need a light source to see. If you can see in the dark, you can see the foe next to the damaged orrery.

Desmond doesn't need Haste. Nykor, you sure you don't want it? Bo?
Des also has Darkvision and will hold Alyreha. Are the attackers still invisible after they strike? And can he tell which of them is trying to take Alyreha?
"Hey, let go of--" The half-orc is grabbing after Alyreha when he gets stabbed. "Whoa! That's against the rules! I'm a medic! You have to answer for that!"
Desmond secures Alyreha and rushes after the thief to lecture him on the rules of war (warfare lore).
Not sure of the actions here. Desmond will grab Alyreha (maybe an action?), but then he would rush after the one who stabbed him (black?). But he doesn't know there's an invisible foe blocking him. If he somehow was aware he couldn't go that way, he would jump onto the table and go after Black.

GM chadius |

Desmond knows someone is trying to grab Alyreha, especially as she screams for help.
Desmond: Make an Athletics check to grapple Alyreha away from the attacker. If you have any bonuses to grapple or stealing I'll allow it here.
He's pretty certain the Black shadowy figure standing on the table stabbed him, as that person has always been visible. He has a hunch there are more people in the room than he can see- they aren't even trying to be stealthy at this point. He suspects they are invisible.
You can either take a Seek action to try to perceive the invisible enemy locations, or you can spend an action trying to move and fail because the space is occupied. A bit metagamey but that's the nature of Google Docs.
