As each of the animated objects is destroyed, the guardian twitches as though something had hit it instead. "...fine then."
With the objects destroyed, the guardian seems to be out of tricks. Unless punching counts as a "trick," because it can still do that. Another brutal swing from each of its gauntlets, and Hellpup is down again--and this time Flappy really does go down as well.

"Come back here!" Cutie yells, running after the guardian. Cutie reaches the guardian and takes a swipe at it before running back.

The heroes are having a rough time, as Cutie's sword doesn't quite connect. But as Marcella's bolt pierces the guardian's helmet, it's clearly starting to have one too.
Cutie misses. Marcella fails--not quite a crit fail--to Tumble but critically hits.
"You are just toys!" The guardian seems upset, "You can't defeat a proper soulbound!" It slams a fist into Marcella, then steps over her to drag itself towards Cutie

You mean the first one that misses, right?
"Foolish little toy! Your friends are dead, and you can't--"
Cutie slices the armor in two. The gem embedded in it shatters, and whisps of light leak out.
It seems quiet now in the secret vault.

**Cutie Killstuff** |

Cutie can only gape at the dead guardian.
Does anyone have any more potions? Cutie can tip them down their throats if they do

**Cutie Killstuff** |

Cutie tips their potions down their respective throats.
"Wake up you! I killed it!" Cutie looks mighty proud of herself as she says that.

Hellpup |

The poppet jumps on its paws.
I had no doubt about the fact you would make it, Cutie.
Hellpup casts Stabilize on Flappy.
So now find what we need and away. I'm out of spells and out of energy.

Marcella the Marionette |

Marcella opens her eyes, her gaze widening in shock as she realizes she’s still alive. She jolts fully awake. "The deed!" she exclaims, scanning the scene as if still in battle. When her eyes fall on the severed armor, she struggles to believe they all survived the onslaught of those animated horrors in the room.
"Find the deed and let's get out of here!" she urges them, immediately beginning her search for the document.

**Cutie Killstuff** |

Cutie joins the search.

With the soul bound guardian defeated, the poppets are free to investigate the vault. In addition to finding the deed to the land on which the Terrific Toybox sits and stolen documents proving the rightful ownership, they discover proof of other underhanded plots Baron Vreen has been undertaking throughout Egorian for years.
It's too complicated to understand in detail without taking more time to read through everything thoroughly, but the poppets can rest assured that by making off with this proof, they can essentially eliminate the baron's influence and put him in his place. In addition, they can grab enough treasure and other valuables to help Gettorio stay in business for a good while to come--should they be interested in that sort of thing.
They also discover a secret escape tunnel out of the vault that Vreen must have constructed for emergency purposes. It leads to the Egorian sewers, from which the poppets can return home triumphant without any further trouble! Gettorio is overjoyed to see them, especially when they bring news of their successful mission, though he cautions them about taking matters into their own hands. But that shouldn't be a problem for the foreseeable future!
