Really excited to Lurk.
(with DM's permission and individual player's blessing, I can try to answer generic Greyhawk questions not specific to this adventure-- such as mentioning the Duchy of Ulek being a setting-typical place where Krishka could be from considering parentage background -- or offering similar to Tall). Or, of course, I can completely butt-out and just read the Gameplay.

Thank you for choosing me for our grand adventure!
Priestess of beauty, healer and capable archer and fencer, ready and able!
Edit: I'll finish my history up this week, now I know she will be an active character.

You can answer questions regarding the setting.

Sea Ranger |

Thank you EltonJ, looking forward to the adventure! I plan to more or less stagger my levels between Ranger and Druid, to combine the two classes in a way that will make him a decent fighter and spellcaster both.

I’ll defer to your expertise and accept Ulek as Home.
Also, feel free to ask questions about Krishka if you want. I usually have more going on than I state aloud.

Interesting note: polytheistic people do not worship a single god from the pantheon, but rather they give prayers to each of the gods at various times. For example, giving worship to the god of travel when traveling, to the god of the harvest when harvesting, etc. Usually it’s the priests and religious orders that have a single god above others. Sure, people might have a favorite or one that they connect with more than others, but they still go to shrines for the various gods at various times. Sometimes there might be a temple dedicated to a god in various places, but usually it is either because something about the location connects with the deity or the location is heavily trafficked, like a city.

Alright, all my equipment is all purchased, except a couple items I can’t find. I want three books, a book on magical theory and techniques, a book of stories and tales, and a notebook.
Krishka is wandering around because she is visiting various mages about an idea she has for dealing with spell slots (thus as second level and becomes an arcanist, that is implementing her idea for slots).
Pretty sure all the derivative numbers and everything is done, though doing it piecemeal is painful. :)

I was wondering that myself; then I found this in the GM's initial post:
Early on the fourth afternoon of the trip, a cluster of buildings and trees becomes visible ahead, with the stone walls of a temple beyond—ORLANE. At the outskirts of Orlane, a large grove of elms is visible to the left, while several wooden buildings border the road to the right.

Huh, I missed that. Makes me wonder why we bothered to stop though.
For a good meal and a drink, of course! The trail rations and water were getting old...

In civilized lands, we would pass multiple villages per day of travel. A single hex has 4-6 villages in it unless it has a larger settlement.

Everyone is zooming along, I go to sleep and so many posts!
I’ve been in a few games where this happens in the beginning and then levels off. I’m partially to blame I just didn’t want to spend a week irl to decide if we were going to the temple or the inn. I am willing to slow down if needed.

Vesica "Tavern Tale" |

I'll be slowing down as well. I work from home and am currently between assignments and can choose my own hours, but my regular schedule returns the middle of next week (and my posting rate will go down as a result).

Just noticed I'd never chosen TT's 1st-level spells. I went with cure light wounds (because you can never have too many healers) and shadow trap to represent her darker side from dwelling too long in Istivin. (Might actually be useful once its duration gets beyond 1 round.)

I'm so dumb sometimes.... I knew there was another question I meant to ask: How many lizardmen do we see?

Sea Ranger |

A pic does help, actually! Easy for a pic-less post to go unseen.

GM, try this. I use it all the time and it's easy as hell.
Literally, just drag a Trog jpg over the token and then download it. That's it. You can adjust the color of the border if you want with the Border Tint, and about a hundred other things if you want.

Thanks GM West! I took a look at your profile, we both started gaming in 1982 and it looks like we traveled down some of the same rpg paths. Thanks again!

I often feel like an old timer. I started with 3.0, but my first group was all old timers that started in the 70s and 80s. My first GM started before you had basic and advanced dnd. Now everyone plays the game like videogames. And 5e, so many who started with 5e. People on youtube who talk about “when I was a kid” and they are talking about recent things. I watched as old school gameplay went from hard to find to impossible.

Tallen Rynn |

Always nice to meet another old-timer, Tallen! I need to update my age though, damn I'm 55 already?!
55 too. You can tell I’m old …. I’m up at 2:30 in the morning.
I started in 87. but then you are older than me West!
Any chance you have a copy of the picture of our matching dice bags that we took GenCon? I lost all my GenCon photos with a hard drive failure.
If you all ever make it to GenCon again send me a PM I live right outside of Indy and work right next to the convention center.

Tallen Rynn |

I'm planning to return to GenCon in the next few years with my son now that he is old enough to enjoy the experience and he games with his friends and mine now.
Cool, both my boys used to game with my irl group. My youngest started out by playing my animal companions (he was 8 about animal intelligence). Fun times, unfortunately they moved on to other interests. Enjoy the experience!
