Scratching your heads and recovering from your wounds, none of you have ever heard of someone named Malarunk or anything called the Huntergate, and your only interaction with the Cinderclaws seems to be whoever these strange transplants are that have kicked the goblins from their homes.
Searching the two Boggards, you guys find a dirty coin purse with 32 silver pieces in it, as well as a small onyx figurine in the shape of a dog.
Let me know how much time y'all are spending and if you are trying to heal up or refocus or anything else
Violant Turra |
"I've got a few guesses... but no clue," Violant says in Taldane with a shrug. She then looks over the Onyx statue of a dog , examining its properties to see if it has any magical significance.
Arcana: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
"Anyone else have any idea what this figurine is? I... seem to not be getting much recollection at the moment, sadly."
Stom Flintheart |
Stom briefly looks at the dog figurine. "Seems to be well-crafted, but I have no clue on its purpose."
Stom examines himself for wounds from the fight. "Damn, that last boggard might have cracked a rib. Lyra, do you have any numbing ointment to help with the pain." Stom holds still long enough for Lyra to perform her healing before looking around the room for clues about these boggards or the mysterious Cinderclaws.
As the group recovers, Stom ponders where to go next. "Back the way we came to another wing? Or, this new door here?" Stom points to the door they haven't passed through yet.

Samael after investigating the door, finds it has no traps and opens it only to reveal a small hallway that leads to another door not 5 feet away.
Finding no traps in the highly trappable looking hallway, he steps forward to check the next door, finding it unlocked. As he opens the next door and stepping into the room, he finds Once-fine seating made from mahogany and velvet has been broken to pieces and used to fashion crude shelters. To the north, a door is heavily barricaded with debris.
You all burst into the room, finding a chaotic scene unfolding before you. The door to the rear of the chamber shudders under the force of some massive beast trying to break through, its growls and snarls echoing off the stone walls. Holding the door with all their might are two Simian(ape-like) creatures, their furry bodies straining against the weight of the creature's assault.
In front of them stands a hulking Boggard, his mottled, warty skin glistening in the dim light. His bulging eyes flicker with a mixture of anger and cunning as he spots the intruders. Clutched tightly in his webbed hands is a massive, two-handed greatclub, crudely carved but deadly in its size and weight.
With a deep, resonant croak, the Boggard barks orders to the Charau-kas, his toad-like voice carrying over the din:
"Hold the door, you foolssss! Keep the beassst back! I’ll deal with the invaderssss!"
The Charau-kas screech in response, redoubling their efforts to keep the barricade in place as the Boggard turns to face the adventurers. He raises his greatclub, muscles tensing beneath his slimy skin, ready to swing with all the force of a battering ram.
"I'll deal with you firsssst!" he croaks, advancing on the adventurers with murderous intent.

They throw down their sickles, begging in a mix of a Mwangi and Draconic.
“We... no fight! No hurt! We... ah... give up, yes? No more smash-smash!”
The small simian creature stumbles over the words, flailing his arms in exaggerated gestures, clearly trying to convey submission. His wide eyes dart around, terrified by the still rampaging bear.
Alak prepares himself, readying to attack.
The wooden door, already weakened and splintered, shudders violently with a loud crack as something heavy slams into it from the other side. The brittle wood groans, bending inward before suddenly bursting apart in a flurry of jagged pieces. A hulking mass of fur and muscle surges through the doorway, fragments of the door flying across the cramped crypt like shrapnel.
The bear’s massive frame nearly fills the narrow space, its fur matted with mud and debris. Its eyes gleam with primal fury as it roars, the sound echoing off the cold stone walls.
There aren't squeezing in combat rules, but the adventure has placed a large creature in a small area, I'm gonna treat the bear as being off guard, since without mobility or space its that much harder to defend itself from attacks.
Alak having readied his attack, swings his greatsword at the bear.

The remaining Charau-Ka is huddled down, his hand over his ears, clearly afraid, the other already escaped into the next room over.
Lot to deal with here, there is policing the hurt, handling the surrendered Charau-Ka, the other one that ran could be raising trouble, their is the room you guys are currently in, the one the bear came from and now the one the Blue Charau-Ka escaped into. Let me know how y'all handle this XD.

"You can at least understand Draconic, yes? As long as you don't hurt us, we won't hurt you. The first question I have to ask of you: how did you get here?"
She then waits for a response from the Charau-Ka.
I believe Doxie and Oppa also have Draconic? I just wanted to put this out there, she's by far the most curious about the goings-on.
