Violant Turra |
LOL did they lose silver weakness in the remake?
Violant sighs exasperatedly. "I align with the hellknights on Law and Order... I just choose a different plane to align myself with. I just forgot that the Orders aren't present everywhere, which is probably a good thing. I thought their primary weakness was to anything considered holy, though?"
GM Cody |
Looks like a sentence might've got deleted, idk what happened with my post, but aleast according to Alak, werewolves and devils are weak to silver. I do think its weird that hellknights equip themselves to fight Devils rather than equipping themselves with Cold Iron to fight Demons and Fey, the embodiment of chaos
Stom Flintheart |
Stom inspects the weapons, grunting quietly as he examines each one. "Certainly not Highhelm craftsmanship, but still useful."
He unwinds the straps holding the shield and longsword to his person. "I much prefer two-handed weapons. It, uh, suits my fighting style much better. Unless someone objects, I'd like to make use of the maul."
Stom only briefly pauses for feedback from the group before setting the silver longsword and shield into the group pile, and setting about the process of making room for the maul alongside the greataxe.
Lyra Flamecrest |
Lyra looks at some of the silver weapons "It would be nice to have some bits of silver to add to my spell component pouch in the chance we runs into a foe curse with Lycanthropy or a devil. If no one wants it I'll take this silver morning star."
As we go though the loot we found Lyra looks at her damaged shield and takes the time to repair its damage.

You guys wanting to proceed straight to the basement? Wasn't sure if y'all wanted to offload some of the loot you found or take some time to craft some stuff, wasn't sure. Figured I'd give y'all a chance to breath before railroadin' ya straight to the basement
GM Cody |
Pushing outside, and looking for the hidden entrance to the basement, you guys follow the directions of the Goblins are rewarded with cleverly disguised doors, hidden in a rocky alcove on the steep slopes of Hellknight Hill.
Opening the doors, musty dark air greets you, as this wide, empty stone hallway is oppressive and dark. To the east, the hall ends at three separate open doorways, while six additional corridors branch off to the north and south. A mass of rubble spills out of a clogged archway in the northeastern portion of the room.
The only light is what's spilling in from the doorways you have opened, creating long shadows and darker alcoves as your eyes struggle to adjust.
Stepping into the tunnel to explore the many cut offs, three brilliant, 6-foot-long birds with spectacular multicolored feathers trailing from its tail, wings, and crest come screeching out of the hidden alcoves. Making a loud cantankerous squawking.

These are emperor birds. They were that name 2,000 years ago when Taldor’s Sixth Army of Exploration ventured into the Mwangi Expanse. When the legion spotted this 6-foot-long bird with its spectacular multicolored feathers trailing from its tail, wings, and crest, the soldiers thought the bird regal enough to suit their emperor, disregarding the name the Mwangi had given to the bird generations before, bebaki. It has a razor sharp tail feathers that it uses to slice up prey.

Violant Turra |
Violant sighs, letting the curse fade a little. "Aren't they specifically highly prized in the Mwangi Expanse, Samael? How did they even get here?"
Stom Flintheart |
Stom frowns at running into more beasts. "How do these goblins live here? We've been here a few hours and wander into animals in almost every room! Bats, a warg, huge shelled beasts!"
Seeing the birds quickly expiring, Stom wonders if they are hostile by nature or simply protecting their current home.

Alak nods, "It is odd to run into such birds, I know hellknights would never keep such birds as pets, so I doubt they are left overs from our time holding this keep,"
The rest of you piling into the small dark hallway, single file as you head deeper into the left you come up to a door. Boggards are aggressive humanoid amphibians who thrive in swamps, marshes, and even some rain forests. Boggards hatch from eggs into tadpoles, fiercely competing for food and even consuming their siblings in that struggle. Over 3 years, the surviving boggards develop arms, legs, and lungs while learning the rudiments of hunting, crafts, and warfare—everything needed to survive in their might-makes-right society.
