As Nyx disables the traps in order, other Pathfinders arrive and ascertain that Carine is dead after defeating the monsters in the northern room.
There are 4 tasks to be done in any order:
LIVING QUARTERS
RIFT WATCHERS
FUTURE FOES
DREAMBOUND

![]() |

I'll add to the chorus for a riff. Oh, you said rift. Well, BK is up for that to.

![]() |

I'll move us along in a bit. But for the meantime, in what order do you wish to do the rest of the encounters?

![]() |

Calisro Benarry paces in a chilly tunnel, laughing with a few fellow Pathfinders as they pass around a flask and take a short break. She shakes her head. "Teach me to travel with these layabouts, eh? You’ll want to go on ahead, but be sure to save me the exciting path!"
After a few twists and turns, the stone corridor transitions into a massive, red stone cave. The ceiling collapsed long ago, revealing the starry night sky and letting snow and wind into the ruins. A glowing purple rift at the far end of the chamber widens by the moment.
When the party enters the chamber, they hear a deep feminine voice calling for aid, saying, "Felise! Where are you? I don’t know where I am! I don’t even know when I am... Felise! Can you hear me?"
Off in the distance, on the other side of the chamber, you see a humanoid figure attempting to manipulate the rift.

"I CAN HELP!"
BK rushes to aid the damsel in distress. Like a shot, he is off, with a double move and a quick casting of shield, just in case. Though he is very slow shot due to the snow. For RP purposes, how deep is the snow?

![]() |

Chadriel runs of as well, determined to also be the hero of the story.
"Brave little bard! Let's aid this damsel in distress together."
He runs to keep pace with the gnome, fighting the snow as well, short as he is. When he makes up to him, he tries a high five and shouts a loud "Yeah!"
Acrobatics Chadriel if needed: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Grexyl keeps pace, but not running head long but scans the area.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

![]() |

Nyx sees the short folk go forward with much gusto and is impressed. He waits to see if they need help.

As you get closer, the humanoid figure turns and suddenly attacks.
Nyx Kirath, Avoid Notice: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 2 = 20
BK, Scout: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 7 + 2 = 27
Jerikyo, Defend: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 2 = 10

Grexyl, Investigate: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 2 = 29
Changeling: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Raptor: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Due to the Pathfinder Found condition, you all gained a +2 bonus to initiative
The humanoid wiggles her fingers and suddenly the world goes dark.

BK wants to know what spell was cast. Not sure what the skill is, but here is the base roll.
recall knowledge: 1d20 ⇒ 14
"I'M BLIND, I'M BLIND! CAN ANYONE SEE ME?! ARE YOU BLIND TOO?"
Regardless of the outcome, he casts inspire courage (though I'm not sure how inspiring screaming about being blind is) and runs for cover. And when I say run, in difficult terrain that means one diagonal square, so not far at all.

@GM Tiger, checking if Nyx can see? He has darkvision. If this is the Darkness spell, and its not the heightened 4th level version - then people with Darkvision should be able to see.

BK manages to identify the spell and somehow inspire courage by screaming about blindness.

BK calms down a bit as he figures out the spell.
"Oh, wait. Not blind. That was just a darkness spell!"

![]() |

I am not sure if I can do this in 3 actions, pick up a rock, cast light on it and then chuck it at the darkness?
Darkness suppresses magical light lower than lvl 2 so even if you could, it wouldn't do much good. Darkvision is ok as this is the regular lvl 2 Darkness, and not the heightened one.

Mao attempts to get out of the darkness. Once he leaves the dark area, he channels the elements and lobs a water elemental blast at the nearest enemy (dinosaur).

You have no direct LoS to anything -- you're still inside the darkness cloud. Best I can adjust would be to have you stride then brain the dino with a block of ice. Both you and Jerikyo will hit even without the CA
Jerikyo sends more divine energy at the humanoid and hits, before retreating. (Where are you moving to?). Meanwhile, BK moves up and brains the dinosaur with a block of solid ice.
Jerikyo - actually, I forgot about the IC. So I'll add it to your damage this round
Grexyl again empowers Chadriel, who moves up and attempts to clobber the caster.
Fist: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Bludgeoning: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Chadriel manages to clobber the humanoid and he drops to the ground.

BK's Occultism (T): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
The voice you heard earlier appears to come from the purple crack. Both Jerikyo and BK it is a minor time rift caused by someone meddling with the Dimension of Time. Left unchecked, it will grow, causing more serious time anomalies.
BK's Theivery (T): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
BK manages to manipulate the portal enough to close it.

**HOUSE GM ANNOUNCEMENT**
Venture-Captain Armeline Jirneau gathers the Pathfinders in the remains of a shattered chamber, beneath a starry night sky. “Congratulations on making it this far! You’ve all earned a break. Let’s set up camp. We’ll pick up the focus’s trail tomorrow.”
Before the Pathfinders scatter, Urwal interjects. “Look at the stars. Take it in. You’ll never see a sky like this again. The stars tell us we’re on Akiton, fourth planet from the sun.” He points at a blue dot in the distance. “That’s Golarion. Savor the sky. It’s breathtaking.”
-----
After a night’s rest, Venture-Captain Jirneau gathers the Pathfinders together once more, just as Ashasar and a team of scouts stride into camp. “We’ve found the focus. It’s beyond a time rift far stronger than any we’ve yet encountered.”
“You heard him!” Armeline shouts. “We’ve got some reality to repair. Let’s move.”
Table GMs, please begin Event #1

![]() |

You all arise from a fitful night's rest. Medics have healed your hurts.
If you have any changes to your daily prep, go ahead and make them now
Dozens of jagged tears in reality cut through the terrain, forming a glowing purple barrier that blocks further passage. Howls, snarls, and voices displaced through time issue from the rifts, and movement is visible within. Ashasar and Venture-Captain Armeline Jirneau spread the Pathfinders out, then reach out with hands, magic, and mind. "Now! Seal the rift!"
You must work together to seal their assigned time rift.
Each PC can attempt one DC 15 skill check to generate Rift Points (RP)(+2/+1/0/-1 for CS/S/F/CF respectively)
Arcana to wield magical forces
Diplomacy to encourage fellow Pathfinders to greater heights
Nature to control primal magic
Occultism to understand the nature of the time rift and the Dimension of Time
Performance to emulate other skilled Pathfinders
Religion to call upon the blessing of a deity
Survival to find supplemental components to help close the rift
Thievery to detect weakness in the time rift’s defenses
Lore to assist as well; the form this assistance takes depends upon the specific Lore skill.
Each PC can make additional checks but take 1d8 cold damage (DC 15 Basic Fortitude)
Need 12 8 RPs

![]() |

The battle done (however it resolved), BK sleeps the sleep of a babe, with little whistling snores reminiscent of his flute playing, though a little les pleasant.
When the rifts begin opening he is ready and rested. He tags along more wise pathfinders and emulates them as best he can.
performance: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

Apologies. We need 8 RPs (2x number of PCs). My tracking file is set up for 6 players. :)

BK's emulation of wiser Pathfinders works wonders as the rift appears to start closing.
