Jaylen feels like he’s stuck between and orc and a hard place atm.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 another Primal Savagery.
Jaylen turns to face the orc that asked about his wound and swipes with a feral swing, hopeful to at the least, keep the orc backed away. If successfull: 1d10 ⇒ 2 acid damage.

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

fyi, I shifted the map north by 20' to accommodate Gideon's retreat.

Toki's axe does indeed catch the orc on the chin, and while it's not enough to fell the creature, it is no longer very steady on its feet.

hmmm I wasn't sure what Braith would want to do this round, but I think I'll have to bot her anyway.

Mace: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Surprised that her last attack hit, Braith almost drops her mace!

Jaylen turns back to the other orc, and just catches it on the arm as it tries to leap out of the way. They do a lot of damage, but fortunately their AC is terrible

@Jacka-Lope: Rabbit Hop is actually 5 feet * proficiency, so I'll move you back 10'. Also, don't forget that the goblin is Hexed -- I assume that the extra damage applies to spell attacks, so that's an extra 1d6 ⇒ 4 damage.

DM Rolls:

Black Orc v Jaylen: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

Blue Orc v Toki: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

Orange Gob v Jacka-Lope 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Orange Gob v Jacka-Lope 2 (disadv): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 221d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

The black orc is so surprised by Jaylen's attack, that his great axe gets tangled in the bush next to him.

The blue orc glares at Toki, spits a mouthful of blood and teeth into the warrior's eyes, blinding Toki so that he cannot defend himself from the greataxe that nearly chops him in half.

The goblin leader is unimpressed by Jacka-Lope's backward leap -- stalking up to the warlock, he takes two swipes at Jacka-Lope, his scimitar slicing across a thigh. 4 damage

Death Save 1: 1d20 ⇒ 20 Holy moley!

Toki finds himself standing at giant oaken doors, sounds of revelry from within... He bangs on the door, and after a moment it opens and a tall Northman looks at him and shakes his head, Not your time, boy.

The door slams shut with a thunderous boom and his eyes flutter open! No! It was in my grasp!

The sounds of battle around them draw his attention back to the task at hand... Well... back to work!

The bunny makes a jump to put some space between him and the goblin and then blows out his breathe so that as he exhales it takes on a frosty tinge as he tries to freeze the goblin to death

Frostbite
You cause numbing frost to form on one creature that you can see within range. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 1d6 cold damage, and it has disadvantage on the next weapon attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.

Starting to get a little more confidence since some of the enemy was losing confidence, Gideon releases another arrow at the remaining orc.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 Bow
1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 Arrow

But it seems that his bow had only one last hurrah before giving up the ghost as the bowstring snaps and the arrow only travels a couple of feet in front of him before lodging in the ground... then falling over.

Okay GM you have to roll all Gideon's attack rolls from this time forward. :-)

However it needs to shake out - if Toki moved up or was swinging against a dead orc :-p...

Braith walks up behind Toki and asks her god to bind the wounds of the courageous fighter. Cure Wounds 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

I think the Black orc is the one that dropped me and is still the one remaining, I think. Yay, back to full! Thanks, Braith!

Correct! Also, I moved Toki and Braith as described.
@Gideon: From your current position, you can't see the remaining orc (and it would be long distance if you could -- you are more than 80' away).
@Jacka-Lope: You hit the orc because of the 20, but fyi, it has 3/4 cover from where you are currently standing.

Jaylen: Primal Savagery: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 201d10 ⇒ 1

"Given that raiding parties have made it so far from the mountains, I think that I ought to return to the clan and speak with my father. We might have to advance our plans reclaim the Fairheights before the orc tribes are further emboldened."

"My plan was to retrieve a special red pearl to use in a ritual communion, but perhaps Berronar Truesilver has answered my questions, if indirectly. Toki unfurls the scroll in his belt and reads the prophecy again, then placing some stones at the edges for weight, he unrolls the map, Well, we could continue on to try and find the red pearl she was looking for, but I feel like without her, we cannot be sure where to go.

We could either look for the goblin's eye or find the weapon of the god exiled from the heavens... On the map it looks like Bluto's Base or Bulak's Manor?

Re the red pearl: You could easily convince Winnow to continue with this mission if you want. Otherwise, you can consider this part of the quest complete -- it's sort of up to you.

Okay, it sounds like people are more for moving on, so I'll push forward a bit.

After a short rest, you accompany Winnow back to Highrock, where she sees to it that you have accommodations for the evening. You send a message to the Shantu to let the captain know that you will be ready to depart with the morning tide. Winnow sends word to her father and will likely be meeting with the war council through the night (and probably for many days).

NPCs, Handouts, and Maps

oh whoops! Sorry, there was something that I wanted to post and I got ahead of myself. So, just a short detour into the past:

Back at the site of your last battle, Toki unfurls a small scroll and rereads Sister Barley's prophecy.

As the Northman reaches the end of the second stanza, "The wisdom of the Fairheight Peaks," you all feel a deep thrum; a hum, a buzz, somewhere behind your navel that draws you to the body of the goblin. Looking now more closely, you see that she must have been in a command position, as she's armed with a light crossbow, scimitar, and chain shirt that are all in good condition (if you recall, the other goblins wore leather armour and used shortbows).

Searching the body for items of more particular interest, you discover a silver locket in a hidden pouch. As you touch it, the buzzing feeling disappears. You ponder over the significance of this for several minutes, but decide that you should should figure out your next steps first -- no sense spending too much time waiting for the orc and goblin to return with reinforcements!

Returning to the prophecy, you read the next stanza, and argue about whether to search for the "goblin's eye" next. Toki continues: "'Witwulf's power'... blah blah we did this one blah... 'Of Blodvahrer's legendary force'..." As he reaches the end of the sentence, the warhammer, which had been securely strapped to Jaylen's pack, falls to the ground with a loud clank.

It is with these new mysteries on your hands that you board the Shantu and set sail for Caer Calidyrr. As you board, Captain Poppie warns that she will have to take you out a bit farther from shore, as "There's a storm blowing in from the nor'east, an' I don' fancy bein' crusht again' t'cliffs." Your day-long trip is likely to turn into a day and a half, but this gives you time to spar and discuss the events of the last week.

The adventure as written isn't really to find specific items; in this case, helping Winnow leads to a plot hook later on. I just thought it would be fun to have a little prize at the end of each mini-adventure :D
