Toki Sigurdson |

Sorry, was visiting family for Spring Break!
Toki slips to the side kicking up a little dust cloud as he skids to a stop and kicks out at the goblin's (black) chest!
Athletics to shove: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 Hoping to take the little guy off the edge. Don't object to it getting a Dex save to avoid plunging to his death. I am hoping that it will at least tie him up for a bit...

![]() |

Gideon finally springs into action deciding the Axe beak is the greatest danger and pulling his shortbow and sending an arrow that way.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Shortbow
1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Arrow.
But still reeling in disappointment at his lack of concentration fumbles the shot letting his arrow go to early.
Calm Dawnbringer. Take a breath. You have a reputation to uphold.

DM Paguroid |

Annnd we're back!
DEX check, Black: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Toki maneuvres behind the goblin he's facing, plants a foot in the creature's chest, and kicks it off the cliff! SPARTA!
That was very cool -- take an Inspiration point for that!
CON save, Axebeak: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Jaylen again summons elemental powers, and this time the axebeak shivers and is not able to shake it off. It glares at the druid, but is unwilling to rush past the mace-wielding cleric to get to him (for now).
Jacka-Lope hops to his feet, bouncing up and down, and sending a slap-shaped blast at the goblin who attack him
Eldritch Blast: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 10
Unfortunately, the goblin dodges out of harm's way.
Gideon and Braith likewise miss their attacks.
fyi, the Axebeak has terrible AC, so go ahead and roll damage with your attacks, even if you think you missed.
Axe Beak (disadv)
Target: Braith
Beak: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 181d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Goblin (Orange)
Target: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Shortbow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Hide: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Goblin (Blue)
Target: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Shortbow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Goblin (Yellow)
Target: Toki
Scimitar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
The frosty axebeak can't quite pull itself together to attack Braith effectively.
The Orange goblin again pops out of the grass, this time targetting Gideon, striking him for 3 damage before hiding again in the brush.
The Blue and Yellow goblins, shocked by how Toki took out their comrade, both target the formidable warrior. Toki is struck by an arrow for 6 damage! The Yellow goblin drop his bow and charges out at Toki with scimitar and shield, but cannot make it past his defenses.
Round 3
Braith
Axe Beak -7
Goblin (Orange) (hidden)
Goblin (Blue) -1
Goblin (Yellow)
Goblin (Black)
Toki -6
Jaylen
Jacka-Lope
Gideon -3
Everyone is up!

Toki Sigurdson |

Toki growls at the arrow, snapping a axe swing at the little Yellow goblin! Bear in mind that it takes an action to arm your shield, which is why my AC is 16 right now... ^_^
Axe: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Second Wind: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10 Back at full!

DM Paguroid |

Oh right! Good point about the shield -- it's a moot point, however, as Toki chops the little guy in half!

Jacka-Lope |

The bunny pops up from being knocked down and starts to sing a little song as he manifests a big basketball that he chucks at blue
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 eldritch bolt
1d10 ⇒ 4 force
I get knocked down (we'll be singing)
But I get up again (pissing the night away)
You are never gonna keep me down (when we're winning)
I get knocked down (we'll be singing)
But I get up again (pissing the night away)
You are never gonna keep me down (ooh)
I get knocked down (we'll be singing)
But I get up again (pissing the night away)
You are never gonna keep me down (when we're winning)

![]() |

Gideon gasps as the small arrow hits home.
"You are dead. As soon as I take care of your oversized Chicken, you'll join him".
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 Bow @ Murder Chicken
1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 Arrow
1d6 ⇒ 6 Good shot bonus Total of 14 damage
He then steps back a bit to distance himself from the bird.
This time he takes a deep breath and steadies his hand before firing.
I can't change my lack of initial attention... I can only atone for it.
The world seems move in slow motion, as Gideon's keen eyes watch the arrow fly true... almost tracking its entire flight as it sinks deep into the Axebeak.

Braith Ablewillow |

Yeah, I'm trying to whack Axebeak here down. I think Gideon's amazing shot is gonna do way more than Braith's slippery mace, but here we go....
Mace: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Mace smash: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
After some less than artful dodging all around, Braith manages to connect again, grunting with the effort.

DM Paguroid |

Toki chops the Yellow goblin in half and is looking for more action. As he surveys the group:
Jaylen again makes an odd gesture, coating the Axebeak in ice:
CON save, axebeak: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
but the large bird shivers off the effects once more.
Unfortunately, what it cannot do is shake off an arrow through it's heart. The bird shivers and shakes its way to the ground, where it continues to twitch for several minutes.
As a magical ball bounces off the last visible goblin and, finally disentangled from the axebeak, Braith rushes over and maces its skull out of existence.
The last goblin Orange does not immediately reappear -- you don't know if it's hiding or if it has run away.

Jaylen Greystone |

Jalen asks loudly. ”Whatever you are attacking us for, it is not worth your life. Come out and may just get out of this alive.”
this is in common. So assuming the goblin speaks it.
Pursuade: 1d20 ⇒ 5 welp so much for diplomacy

DM Paguroid |

Jaylen's sharp eyes pick out the goblin's hiding spot, but when you make your way over there, the goblin appears to have fled.
Winnow grumbles: "Tricky more than cowardly, I'd say. Hard to know whether they've run back to their masters or if they're hoping to ambush us later. Yet another reason to drive those orcs out of the Fairheights and get back to our true home on Gwynneth!"
Roll for Survival if you want to try to find out where the goblin went; otherwise, Winnow's ready to continue to the shore.

Braith Ablewillow |

After waiting a bit for the looking at/looting of corpses, Well, we best keep moving on then. She keeps an eye out for anything else amiss...
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
...but is distracted by shadows and nature noises.

DM Paguroid |

lol
Well, I'm going to say that Toki tramps around a bit, obscuring some of the tracks -- effectively just increasing the DC, assuming anyone else wants to try.
The two goblins each have Leather Armour, Shields, Short Bows, a handful of arrows each (say 5, total), and Scimitars; but nothing else of value.

Jaylen Greystone |

Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Focused on the tracks, Jalen cringes somewhat as he watches Toki obscure some of the tracks Stand clear Toki, I have the Goblin’s trail as long as you don’t keep stepping all over it.”

DM Paguroid |

Jaylen is able to find the trail through the tall grass!
Let me know if your plan is to follow it, and how; that is, quickly or stealthily?

![]() |

"I guess we know why they tried to ambush us. They've got nothing besides their armor, weapons, and the clothes on their back... Still these arrows might prove useful".
Gideon will take all 15 arrows unless others speak up.

DM Paguroid |

You follow the goblin's trail through the tall grass, more-or-less north, toward the mountains. Grasses soon turn to tall shrubs, and you find yourselves either ducking beneath the low branches or else pushing or breaking / chopping your way when it gets particularly dense.
As you push your way through one particularly dense bit of brush, you step out into a small area that has been cleared and has very obviously been used as a camp. It first appears to be abandoned -- then the axes swing down.
Jaylen: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Toki: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Braith: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Jacka-Lope: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Gideon: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Baddies: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Round 1
Jacka-Lope
Baddies
Gideon
Toki
Braith
Jaylen
There are 2 Orcs facing off against Toki and Jaylen at the head of the line. You are lined up single file to get through the brush (check the map).
Jacka-Lope is up!

Braith Ablewillow |

Seeing as she can just sidle up to one of the orcs, Braith...
Mace: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
potential damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
...slips on the mud but manages to catch herself.

DM Paguroid |

fyi, it won't matter for the current attacks -- Jacka-Lope would miss and Gideon would hit regardless -- but for future reference, the orcs will have partial cover unless you move to better positions.
Black Orc v Jaylen: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Blue Orc v Toki: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Gob v Braith: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Orange Gob v Jacka-Lope: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Blue Gob v Gideon: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
The first orc's axe scrapes loudly against Jaylen's shield, but Toki is not so lucky -- the orc finds an opening and cuts a long gash in Toki's side (11 damage).
Meanwhile, three goblins pop out of the brush behind the group, and Braith is struck in the shoulder by an arrow (3 damage); arrows fly fast Gideon and Jacka-Lope without hitting.
Gideon's arrow flies through an opening in the shrub and just manages to connect with the orc attacking Jaylen (Black). I'm pretty sure your Sneak Attack damage applies here.
Round 1 (cont'd)
Jacka-Lope
Orc 1 (Black) -8
Orc 2 (Blue)
Goblin 1 (Yellow)
Goblin 2 (Orange)
Goblin 3 (Blue)
Gideon
Toki -11
Braith -3
Jaylen
Toki and Jaylen can post their actions for this round
btw, Jaylen, let me know if you are using your scimitar or if you've switched to Witwulf's warhammer.

Toki Sigurdson |

Welp, this is going to suck. We didn't get a short rest, so my Second Wind is still spent. Going to walk through this fight with 1 hp. XD
Toki lowers his shield and shoves the orc as he remembered from his time training with the Shieldmaidens! Athletics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 Inspiration: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 Better!
If that works, Toki will move around the orc, opening up a path for the others to maneuver into more advantageous positions.

DM Paguroid |

Athletics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
@Toki: Are you trying to shove the orc back 5' or knock it prone? You succeed either way -- just want to know what you're trying to do

Jaylen Greystone |

Jaylen takes the opportunity to attack the prone orc, growing long claws from his hands, he swipes at the creature. Primal Savagery: 2d20 + 5 ⇒ (17, 3) + 5 = 25 for Acid Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 4

DM Paguroid |

We didn't get a short rest
Luckily, the only person with injuries from the previous round is Gideon (I've noted this -3 below, just to keep track -- this isn't an additional injury!)
Raising his shield, Toki topples the burly orc to the ground. Jaylen follows this up with a claw strike that leaves horrible burns on the orc's chest.
Round 2
Jacka-Lope
Orc 1 (Black) -8
Orc 2 (Blue) -4 [prone]

Goblin 2 (Orange)
Goblin 3 (Blue)

Jacka-Lope is up!

DM Paguroid |

With the appearance of the goblins, Jacka-Lope shifts focus, and lobs his next snowball at the Yellow goblin,
Eldritch Blast: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 131d10 ⇒ 3
and just catches it on the shoulder. The goblin turns a baleful eye on the little bunny: "Fy un i yw hwnnw!"
Black Orc v Jaylen: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Blue Orc v Toki: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Yellow Gob v Jacka-Lope: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Orange Gob v Braith: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Blue Gob v Gideon: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Cure Wounds: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
The orc Toki knocked to the ground regains their footing with a snarl, swiping at the fighter, showering sparks off his shield.
The large Black orc chuckles at the sight of his companion, who struggles to get up from the ground. Spinning his greataxe casually, he cleaves Jaylen nearly in two! "Gwaith da yn eu harwain yn ôl yma, Clicied!"
Braith and Jacka-Lope narrowly dodge some arrows, but Gideon is not so lucky: he takes one in the shoulder that knocks him to the ground. Thankfully, Winnow is standing right next to him and casts her healing magic again.
The arrow knocked Gideon down to 0, but Cure Wounds brings him back to 5hp. He's just on the ground, now.

Braith Ablewillow |

Braith's eyes go wide and she swallows, but doubles down on her grip.
Mace: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 Sweet!
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 Insert flex emoji
She does her level best to take down the enemy in front of her, and she momentarily shuts her eyes, sending a prayer to our fallen comrade.
Healing Word: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 to Jaylen. d'oh, revenge of the dice gods

Jaylen Greystone |

level one leaves us soooo few options.
Jaylen knew turning his back to one orc to attack another was a risk, but gaining consciousness on the ground face down in his own blood was not what he had in mind. Shaking off the blow and standing, he takes another swipe at the orc between him and Toki.
Primal Savagery: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Acid Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 4

DM Paguroid |

Sorry for the delay! Paizo decided not to tell me that there were new posts...
Despite Gideon's calls for retreat, the others fight on. Braith delivers a solid crack to the orc's collarbone, causing it to howl in pain; while, with a whispered prayer, she delivers some healing magic to Jaylen.
I'm not sure where Jacka-Lope is, but I'm going to bot him -- I hope he doesn't mind my using up some spells!
Tired of being shot at with arrows and crossbow bolts, the brave little bunny hops right up into the goblins' faces. You aren't quite sure what happens next, but the goblins react with terror:
Bonus Action: Cast Hex on the orange goblin (disadv WIS).
Action: Fey Presence (WIS DC13)
WIS save, yellow goblin: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
WIS save, orange goblin, disadv: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 161d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17
WIS save, blue goblin: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
The orange goblin (the orcs called him Ratch), who appears to be the leader, looks shaken, but stands his ground. The other two look at each other, turn and run away: "Dydw i ddim yn marw am hyn - gadewch i ni fynd allan o'r fan hon!"
There's no AoO, as they can Disengage with a Bonus Action, and then they'll double move out of there.
Black Orc v Jaylen: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Blue Orc v Braith: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
[dice=Orange Gob v Jacka-Lope]
[dice=damage]
The black orc looks slightly amazed to see Jaylen regain his feet: "Didn't I just kill you?" He takes a half-hearted swing, which Jaylen easily side-steps.
Braith has come to the attention of the other orc, who quickly pivots and aims a quick, horizontal strike at the cleric. With a nervous gasp, Braith lifts her shield just enough to tip the axe blade up over her head.
Meanwhile, the one remaining goblin glares angrily at Jacka-Lope. Without breaking eye contact, he carefully sets his crossbow on the ground and draws a wicked-looking scimitar, miming removing the harengon's ears.
iirc, stow weapon + draw weapon = Action, so I guess it can't attack this round
Round 3

Toki Sigurdson |

Toki swings an upward arc with his axe, trying to catch the blue orc on the chin! handaxe: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Jacka-Lope |

The bunny is impressed with himself, seeing that orange is still there, he uses his bunny legs to jump back 5 ft. Bonus action from being a bunny
The bunny will make a giant, formal glove and try to slap orange against one cheek and then another
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
1d10 ⇒ 9 force damage
If he can still move he will run away mocking the orange goblin
Fast as fast can be, you'll never catch me!
