Grezzag rushes in once again, but is a little too enthusastic after the last battle, and his initial attack goes wide and slams into the nearby bed.

The whirring, as of yet unnamed robot, flies up directly inbetween Uwe and Grezzag, attempting to slam and grab the investigator as both Grezzag's axe and Uwe's two shots miss followed by a proper misfire. The attempted grab, however, fails as the robot strikes the air with a whoosh sound, flying about 5 feet above the ground.

Realizing that the others have opened the next door without setting up, Khoran rushes back into the hallway, taking up a position where he can cover Hekau with his spear.

The foe can escape the silk as a standard action with a successful Escape Artist or Strength check at the same DC, or by dealing an amount of damage to the silk equal to double the shaman’s class level (6 HP, the silk has hardness 0). Hekau knows this is a Collector Robot, they serve to well... collect. They can serve independently for years, but their original purpose is tasked with acquiring biological samples from places that would, presumably, overwhelm wherever their makers would send them. They can effectively tag a creature with a chip, allowing them to find them over long distances. If the previous medical drone was a nurse in human terms, this is most similar to a Ranger, ability to adapt to environs and all!

Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

The robot writhes in the silk that erupts, quite literally, 10 feet above the ground to reach the creature, and manages to stay in place due to the grace of magic, the some odd 5ft-in-the-air silkstring manages to anchor the robot more-or-less in place.

Silkstring snare works on mid-air enemies. Huh. That's hilarious. Zelvin and Alyn, you're up!

Alyn grits her teeth, trying to ignore Khonnir's screams as she takes aim at the ensnared drone.

Both shots hit the Collector Robot, one a direct and square hit, but the other hits as the Robot tries to squirm out of the way! The other robot, the medical drone, moves into flanking position, putting Grezzag between itself and the currently entangled robot, trying to inject Grezzag with anaesthetic as it claws at him. The claw, however, misses as liquid seeps onto the floor where Grezzag stands, doing nothing.

Grezzag dodges out of the way of the medical drone's attack then retaliates, swiping past it with one end of his axe, but catching it with the backswing.

As his pulls his axe out, he takes a step around the drone into a less unfavourable position.

Botting Uwe. Missed that this is the first hardness robot, so Alyn's attack... did precisely nothing, since it's immune to nonlethal as a robot. 7 damage to the Collector Robot total (pp!), and 13 to the medical drone.

Uwe, unable to make a good shot, attacks the collector Robot in front of him with his spiked gauntlet, but misses as Grezzag's second swing swipes the robot clear across the "face", with the previous slice also doing visible amounts of damage due to the creature's entangled state. The creature, seemingly unnoticing of its entangled state, attempts to slam Uwe twice. The robot, however, fails to grab Uwe and merely grazes him twice, causing a bit of blood to spill.

With no path to melee (and little likelihood of hurting something with Hardness 10)...

Khoran grimaces as assorted enthusiastic youngsters with ranged weapons crowd forward into melee range with the robot. Then his eyes widen as it's metal shell lets it simply ignore Alyn's shot without a care...

Unable to advance with the crowd in front of him, he calls on the spirits a second time, to hex the other robot.

Yeah, the hardness is the main reason I'm only going to increase the difficulty a little bit even with a party of 6. I heard it called one of the harder APs for pretty much only this reason. Only the Collector Robot has Hardness though, the Medical Drone doesn't.

With a mere glare, the party's Shaman of the fallen Tribe ensares yet another robot within silken strings, hampering its movements as this one, more logically than the one in the air, is anchored to the ground.

Zelvin thinks quickly. "I haven't got but one more shot that can punch through that thing's shell, and if'n I miss we're for sure up a creek without a paddle. Maybe we can focus our efforts on bringin' down the other one, and meantime some of the stronger of us can wrangle that collector contraption into submission? If we put our weight on it an' tied it up, I could easily put a platinum coin through its metal head and that would be that. What do y'all think?"

Buying time while the others think over his proposal, Zelvin fires a regular bullet at the medical drone.

The medical drone, right as Zelvin discusses taking it down, immediately goes down with a sparking shower that lights up the room, collapsing onto the floor.

Hekau and Alyn, you're up! Blackpowder firearm crits are certainly one way to destroy a robot.

my 2h power attack gives me 1d8+9, so with flagbearer I'll be doing at least 1 damage on a hit :)

Botting Alyn.

Alyn, knowing she'd likely just waste a precious bullet against the creature, decides to opt for her machete... which merely deflects off the creature futilely. Uwe also opts for a melee attack, which also merely plinks off the creature's alloyed exterior.

The creature then attempts to grab Grezzag as it slams its metallic "fists" down on anyone, still not even attempting, or seemingly noticing, the strings which are tying it to the tiled ceiling and tiled floor. Grezzag, however, easily escapes the grab, but not without a few bruises.

Khoran waits for Grezzag to take the obvious flanking opportunity, directing traffic as he waits: "Get the flanks and clear me a line!"

Zelvin hesitates, unwilling to waste his final platinum coin shot, but also certain that his normal bullets are unlikely to penetrate its heavy armor casing. He squeezes past Grezzag to move beside the strange casket with Khonnir Baine inside and looks it over quickly for any kind of obvious opening mechanism.

I think that his move through Grezzag's and Alyn's squares might provoke an attack of opportunity from the robot, if it is inclined to take it. Anything I should roll for examining the box?

Robot AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
The robot is a little bit too focused on its restraints, but it attacks hit Zelvin... but the force of the Mage Armor merely deflects the blow! With everyone helping to make a dent in it, either by aiming a super-precise risky shot in the case of Alyn, or helping Grezzag's extremely powerful axe strikes, you manage to make yet more dents in the robot.

As Hekau goes to attempt to open the door, he notices a technological mechanism similar to the one using all the doors. Who has the access card again? I'll have to go to check what color it is to see if you can open it, but you can also try to hit a DC 25 Disable.

The creature continues lashing out at any creature nearby, still not attempting to get out of its restraints in its single-minded focus... but both attempts to grab and strangle the life out of the party members fails.

Alyn takes another shot at the creature as everyone wails on it, sparks coming from the dents and orifices on the creature as it looks visibly "injured," to whatever extent an electromechanical monstrosity such as this can be injured. Alyn's shot, however, merely deflects off the creature's head as she ducks to avoid damage.

@Uwe, you might be better off aiding Khoran rather than Grezzag. Grezzag having an already impressive +12 to hit without you...

Khoran will likely fail to beat the Hardness (assuming Hardness 10 for metal), needing a 6+ on 1d8 to do even 1 point of damage, whereas Grezzag will always do some damage if he hits. I should remember that we have free Power Attack and maybe have Hekau take a swing next round. At 1d6+6 he is about as likely to do damage as Khoran is.

The hardness is why I opted for Grezzag. I can shift over, but the guaranteed damage past Hardness seemed like the better bet. Even if this is going to take a while either way.
