The Pathfinders begin exploring the ruin immediately, entering via the stairs. The once-grand facility is now a mere shadow of its former glory: the marble walls and floors and chipped and stained with mildew from centuries of exposure to the swamp. The ceilings are 12 feet high in the passageways and 20 feet high in the rooms. A permanent source of dim light emanates from the various sconces embedded in the walls, although most of them flicker weakly, their ages-old magic nearly spent.

A wide but short arched passageway opens into a low-ceilinged room to the north. Carved niches in the walls each glow with a gentle lavender luminescence, although the shelves within appear empty.

Despite his caution, Olegaro inadvertently steps onto a tile that is slightly raised. Moments later, a few clicks can be heard, and a wall with a hidden socket in front of the fighter opens, releasing a spear!

Fortunately, it whizzes past him and Moist by a hair.
Apart from the trap, there is nothing else in the room. Continuing on, they find other spaces empty, even the spacious hall that echoes their voice. They then arrive at what looks like the quarters. Long, human-sized niches are cut into the walls of this room. Oval glass protrusions stick out from the walls in a few places and emit a cold, white light, although many of them flicker occasionally. The half-rotted remnants of a door to the west stand mostly off its hinges.
At different corners though lingers swarms that look jelly, slowly getting forward to them!

Moist manifests a cloud swirling with dreamlike stars and planets. Out of this he pulls a giant blue mallet, decorated much like an over-sized toy. He slams it down on the slime, between Otani and Zepth.

Everyone is now fully healed.
Moving forward, nothing unusual happens along the way. They then reach a large room. A few large tables stand throughout the room, their polished surfaces gleaming. The walls are unadorned and clean, as if scoured regularly. A giant-sized smiling face of a human man with a receding hairline is carved into the northern wall. Beneath this image is a metal plate that has several levers and buttons.
