OOC chatter and such lives here!
______________
Note: This adventure comes with 4 pregenerated leshy characters to choose from *or* you may bring your own 3rd level PFS-legal leshy to play. I've played this adventure myself where players used all of the pregens and I have GMed this for a mix of pregens and PFS leshy PCs - both tables were great fun :)

For those who will be playing one of our lovely pregens, here they are for your perusal:
GM Ladile |
Hi!
GM, I'm letting you know that although I have not played this before, I've GMed it for family, so I will be familiar with the adventure.
Howdy! Thanks for letting me know :)
Are there any rules/restrictions on what characters this chronicle can apply to?
Nope! Per the Sanctioning Document:
Players who play through A Fistful of Flowers, as well as GMs who run the adventure, can apply the adventure’s Chronicle Sheet to any of their Pathfinder Society Organized Play characters. Players and GMs must decide which character to apply credit to when they receive the Chronicle Sheet. The Chronicle Sheet gives 4 Experience Point(s), 4 Reputation with one faction, and 10 Treasure Bundles appropriate to a character of their level. It also grants 8 days of Downtime. This adventure is not repeatable, therefore an individual may earn a Chronicle Sheet once as player and once as GM for the adventure.
So even though you have to play with one of the leshy pregens or your own leshy, you can assign the chronicle to any of your PFS characters :)
Also, thank you both for signing up to play! Tomorrow will put us three weeks out from the start of the convention. I'll likely give it at least a week to see if anyone else signs up and if not, I'll advertise over in Cottonseed to see if we can get 1-2 more players.

Like Redelia, I've also run (but not played) this adventure.
I've got a leshy character that's PFS-legal, but they're not lvl 3 yet. Would it be possible to play a "lvl 3 version" of them, or would we need a PFS leshy character that's currently lvl 3? I have a slight preference for playing my own character, but no worries if that's not possible.
Quentin Coldwater |
UncleFroggy, please take care! I see you offer to GM a lot, please don't burn yourself out!
Hawthwile: I think in official PFS rules, you're not allowed to "cheat" your character in any way. But, since this is an adventure with pregens (and it's a Free RPG Day adventure anyways), I don't think there's any requirement to run it in PFS mode. We could technically all make our own characters and play it completely separate from the PFS structure, then assign the Chronicles as normal. The only issue is that this is a Gameday game, which might mandate PFS play. I'm not sure on the rules there.
Anyway, that's just my ideas as a player, I just wanted to offer options. I'll defer to the GM, as they have the final word in this.

Completely unrelated, I've been wanting to GM this one (that's why I signed up as a player first). How long would this run IRL? Is it full Scenario-length, or more/less? I'm just wondering if I can fill a regular 4-four slot with this adventure.
GM Ladile |
The pregens are definitely fun (I played Bottlespeaker when I played this at PaizoCon last year) but I don't blame people for wanting to play their own characters when possible. Given that this *is* a Free RPG Day adventure that automatically falls under the umbrella of 'Adventure Mode' and thus doesn't have to strictly adhere to PFS rules, I have no problem if someone wants to make an unofficial 3rd level 'what if' version of an existing leshy character. That said, I will ask that people stick to PFS builds/legality if they choose to do that so as to make things easier on my end. Also no playtest classes, as I (to be blunt) have enough on my plate at the moment :)

Yes, I believe these are made to fit into a 4-hour time slot. I can't remember exactly how long it took us when I played this live but I know we didn't go the full 4 hours and that's even with the group RPing a fair bit.

Thanks for the feedback GM! After looking at my own schedule, I don't think I have time to make the character sheet for my own leshy, and I agree with Redalia that the pregen characters are very fun, so I'll use one of them as well.
Did anyone have any preferences between the four? I'm happy to let others pick first since I've run the adventure before.
GM Ladile |
Okay folks, I've got our Macros & Slides linked up at the top of the campaign page; go ahead and decide who's playing who and once that's done, please fill out your macros and your tokens/marching order on Slide #2. Also be sure to sign in with the RPG Chronicles link as well if you haven't already.
Opening gameplay post will be going up shortly :)
GM Ladile |
^That stinks but thanks for letting me know, Redelia. It looks like you'll be playing with Fluff Fang so I'll be happy to bot things as necessary. Hope you feel better soon!
Fluff Fang the Leshy |
I'm sorry, everyone; I'm like a walking zombie right now due to a short, but not worrisome, rough patch in real life. I expect the situation to resolve in the next few days. I'm going to take this weekend off from PbP, and will return to normal posting on Monday. Please bot as needed; using up spells or consumables is fine.
GM Ladile |
I've been there too and it's so hard. I'm so sorry for your loss, Redelia. Take what time you need; the game'll be here when you feel up to checking in.
GM Ladile |
No worries, you two! Just jump back in when you're up to it :)
Also, we proooobably won't quite finish this before the end of Gameday but we'll be pretty close!
GM Ladile |
@Fluff Fang & Bottlespeaker - Please fill out the RPG Chronicles link at the top of the page as soon as you can, so I can go ahead and get the game reported to HQ.
GM Ladile |
Okay, the game has now been reported to HQ! We've got one more small section to go and should hopefully be able to wrap that up quickly once I know how you guys plan to approach it. That said, the US Thanksgiving holiday is Thursday so I know some folks might be busy for the next few days - I'll post as needed and people can post as they have the time and inclination :)
Quentin's pregen |
I just ran this adventure for friends, so I know how it ends, but I think we're veering off from the scenario enough that it'll still be a surprise to me. :)
Rings motions for the others to follow him as they make their way across to the greenhouse. The leshy points out where they should step to avoid making noise using their darkvision to find the best path. Once they get to the glass place, the fungus tries to look for a way in.
Stealth +11; I believe Rings is an Expert, so if anyone needs Stealth help, they can use Follow the Expert. Rings also has Quiet Allies, so we only need to roll once for the whole group.
I think Quiet Allies says we roll one check with the lowest modifier, so we wouldn't take Rings's +11. I think Popcorn's the worst, with a +6 (+1 Dex, Follow the Expert for 3 (level) +2 (Follow the Expert bonus)).
Just clarifying, just in case. >_>

Yep, this is correct. Sorry for any confusion.
Quentin's pregen |
Belated welcome back, Fluff Fang! Though I have to echo Popcorn's comment, is everything okay, GM? I looked at your profile and it seems you've posted a little. If you don't have the time/energy for this PbP feel free to say so. I don't wanna be a burden or anything.
GM Ladile |
Hey, things are thankfully okay but they've just been busy lately. That said, I took this week off from work for a staycation so I'm going to be getting caught up on all my games - including this one. Gameplay update to follow shortly, please stand by.
GM Ladile |
Okay, good. :) I might've sounded a little negative in my previous post, but I'm happy we're still continuing. :)
Take care of yourself, GM!
Not at all. I've taken way longer than I should have with this game, so I appreciate your patience and understanding.
GM Ladile |
Okay, game is completed and chronicles have been sent out! As mentioned in the email, please let me know if any changes need to be made. Otherwise, I'll give things a day or two and then mark this campaign inactive.
Thank you again for your time and your patience and I hope everyone found some enjoyment in the game even with all the delays. I look forward to hopefully seeing everyone at other tables in the future, as a fellow player :)
Quentin's pregen |
Thank you for running, it was great fun!
I'm sorry I was posting less for the last bit, got a new job and a new rhythm to get used to, and this slipped through the cracks. :(
Enchanter's Pregen |
Thanks for the fun game, everyone! Sorry, I reduced the climax to a few skill rolls. I fully expected to get caught on the way out.
Quentin's pregen |
Oh no, I think it's pretty cool that Stealth is a viable option. Sure, it's not as flashy as combat, but I think it's a cool way to let a character shine. And props to the GM for allowing it!
GM Ladile |
Yes, I decided to leave a lot of that up to the dice - if the Stealth rolls had been really bad or their Perception rolls really good then you would've had a fight on your hands. But since you decided to take an unorthodox approach then I also had no problem letting you guys pull it off without combat if the dice favored you :)
