I just noticed the roll is a natural 20, so likely A Critical Success. Just tell me how you want to use it?

![]() |

Depends. Failure is 6 hours. Critical fail is 12 hours. I was leaving it vague, as I don't see how you would know.

![]() |

It is an odd little hazard. One reaction, no routine. If you don't spot it as it manifests, there is one Fort save, and it's gone.
Besides, you Adventurers are the only ones with a real chance to spot it. Everyday, mundane beings don't have much a chance to spot this, may feel strange for half a day, and think they caught a bug.

![]() |

In a peek behind the screen, the dream incursion only happens to those affected by the earlier hazard. This presents a bit of an issue for parties where everyone saves against the earlier hazard or someone can dispel the effect before it reacts.
I was wondering whether the failure might be negated with a Hero Point reroll, and realized I should assign a couple of Hero Points. I'll hit those in gameplay.
The failure does have a consequence at the end of the scenario.

Hi GM Computerpro82. I checked, and only Goupour and Hui Kong made the save.
Quick Question about Hero Points: in DnD, hero points are awarded automatically at the start of the game AND whenever the Dungeon Master chooses to award it based on "heroic actions" made by players (e.g. shielding the little girl from a goblin's stab). In PF2E, it's distributed by rolling randomly?
Sorry for the question. I've not come across that rule, and I am preparing to run my own games.

Hero Points are typically assigned at a rate of about one per hour, with how to assign them left completely up to the GM. Suggestions are rewards for Good roleplay or success at critical tasks, but randomly is also an acceptable option.
Here is the section from the "Game Master Basics" portion of the Guide to Organized Play:
Hero Points: At the beginning of an adventure, each PC receives 1 Hero Point. GMs should then hand out additional Hero Points at a rate of approximately 1 Hero Point per hour of play, following the guidelines on page 507 of the Pathfinder Core Rulebook.
I don't have access to my Core Rulebook right now, so will try to expound more later.
If you haven't perused it already, I strongly recommend reading the "Game Master Basics" and at least skimming the Additional Reading in the Guide to Organized Play
Frankly I especially have trouble tracking both the time and potentially Hero Point worthy actions in a PbP, so I figure randomly is better than not assigning them at all.

Thanks for the clarification and links GM Computerpro82. I've read them already, but need to really read everything again (and again. There's no emotion/investment in just reading so therefore I find it hard to recall. Playing more seems to be the key to remembering the rules. And asking questions + getting them answered. Much appreciated.

Flory: Cast magic fang, Stride
Sir Miles: Stride, Strike Yellow
Ah, Flory, you need to spend an action Commanding your companion to do anything (until you take a feat for Mature Animal Companion where they gain 1 to use on their own if not commanded). Would be easy enough to take back the Stride to replace with Command.

Yes, thank you.

Flory spends some time in the city exploring local materials, and making clothes from them.

Thanks for running GM Computerpro82!
Thanks guys for the good game!
Will you be continuing with the next part of the story? Will it be the same characters?

DC 14 Ancient Osirion Lore: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 (Success, 4 sp for 8 days)
Thank you for running, GM!

Hasvi, the intention when I advertised this game was to run through the two scenarios back to back with the same characters. I hope everyone will be able to participate.
Flory, your first roll was a success, and I don't think you can use Hero points on Earn Income rolls anyway.
Session is reported and Chronicle sheets should be in your email. I can add downtime and regenerate your chronicle if you like.
RPG Chronicles for 4-13 for the next scenario.

Awesome!

Sorry was MIA for a couple of days. Some family matters came up.
Academia Lore: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
I've been out of things for a while, but can we add downtime to our chronicles ourselves now?

![]() |

I can't find the original OPM blog post, but they updated the Guide:
from the Guide to Organized Play
https://www.organizedplayfoundation.org/Lorespire/pfs2guide._.Player-Basics #After_the_Adventure
Players are responsible for rolling and recording their own downtime activities and results, and may chose not to do so if they prefer to simplify play. Alternately, for players seeking more in-depth downtime, rules for using the entire set of downtime rules appear in "Additional Character Options"

Signed up. Nanoc will continue to the next part of the arc.

![]() |

Hui Kong, did you intend to continue? I don't see you on the part 2 sign in sheet on RPG Chronicles.
The other question is whether the group wants me to recruit another player (or two if Hui Kong declines) or will the group go forward with one or two fewer player? I can go either way.

I vote to recruit another one (or two).

![]() |

I have a PM out to the last person who hasn't either said they weren't going forward or signed up on RPG Chronicles.

![]() |

I had intended to explicitly recruit to keep it Tier 1-2. We currently have 12 CP with the people signed up. Two level 2 characters would max us out for Tier 1-2 with 18 CP.

![]() |

So sorry, I was out MIA for a while. Been a crazy few days. Yes, I'm still keen. Signing in now.

![]() |

As I posted the recruitment I realized that Gameday XII starts in a few of days and most people have their characters invested there. I will go ahead and start the intro, but I doubt we will get another player.

Question: Is there a limit to the number of boons that can be slotted per adventure?
Not since they did away with the Fame system.
You can only use 1 hireling boon per scenario, but you don't need to pick which until the first time you use one.And some individual boons might spell out specific restrictions on usage.

![]() |

That's neat to know. Thanks!

![]() |

Actually, Hatahasi should be carried by a PC, not a hireling.

![]() |

Sorry GM Computerpro82. His character's name is Detective Conan spelled in reverse.

![]() |

Greetings,
I am on my way to the hospital and expect to be admitted for a particularly nasty infection.
If I am a player in this game, please bot me.
If I am the GM, please be patient and I will post when I can.
Thanks for your understanding

![]() |

I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope you get better soon. Please take all the time you need for yourself. The game will still be here when you're ready to jump back in.

How big is Hatahasi? Is it sized like a real-steel revolver? pocket pistol? shotgun? AR15?
