When I got the characters reallocated between the tables, this table came out to 18 CP, which means the very high end of Low Tier.
Please remember to fill out the Google slides with your tokens and Marching order, Macros with your skills and Saves, and please double check the RPG Chronicles, especially for the two folks I moved.

Could the following players please enter their information into the Macros spreadsheet linked at the top of the page?

Cool macro! Done.
School item: scroll of magic weapon

Still need the following to complete the Macros
Nanoc Evitceted
and to complete the slides
Nanoc Evitceted
Goupour Dune

Done with RPGChronicles, Macros, and Slides. I have one glyph to share. Nanoc will take one minor healing potion as his school item. Apologies for taking so long. I will post an introduction in a short while.

Looks like 5 of the party of six will have an extra Hero Point. Who doesn't get one?

![]() |

"Purchasing a Diplomacy and Lore (Arcadia) hireling in the AcP shop."
That's the first time I've seen that being done. Very interesting.

![]() |

They cost 4 AcP. You can only have one in use per Scenario (and don’t have to pick until you use one to make a check, then it’s locked in for the rest of the Scenario), but you can own as many as you want.
For stats at +0 they’re good. If you have a -1 stat, then it’s a good boost. However, it pales next to a trained skill with a positive modifier.

So if you have one, there's no point in Hui Kong also getting one?
I have Hireling on some of my older characters before the transition to AcP, but not Hui Kong.

I see several people asserting in the forums that Hirelings cannot benefit from Fortune effects, but I can't find an actual rule that says so. Can anyone point me to it? Failure here impacts the secondary success conditions and makes some other parts of the scenario more difficult.

"You can spend your Hero Points in one of two ways. Neither of these is an action, and you can spend Hero Points even if you aren't able to act. You can spend a Hero Point on behalf of your familiar or animal companion."
I found this on Hero Points Rules.
I took a chance, failed. Used a Hero Point and got a higher roll. That's a basic 1d20 with no bonuses.

It is indicated in the text of the boon. You can check it out in the Boon Chronicle for Nanoc.

Thanks for sharing the boon text. I should really pick up hirelings for some of my PCs.
I am glad someone finally hit the DC for the Diplomacy check. Getting by without it is possible, but complicated.

![]() |

Give me a little bit and I’ll buy a Diplomacy hireling just in case.
I’m highest level, so I can forgo the extra Hero Point.
If you don't mind Masigonde, I will take that 2nd HP. Apparently, I will need it to survive.

![]() |

I see that I have added undue confusion in 1) being a Magic Warrior archetype who needs to keep his identity a secret and 2) being clever with my animal companion naming.
Masigonde is the true identity of the Moon Bear, the human ranger-magic warrior. Feel free to remove Masigonde from the campaign to avoid confusion.
The Sun Bear is the bear animal companion.
On the combat, the first wave of attacks appears to not include a MAP until the raven, so the 17 vs. the bear (Sun Bear) should have been a 12 and would miss. The 25 vs. the masked ranger (Moon Bear) would have been a 20 and still hit.

![]() |

I really need a marker as to which token is which. As long as they are next to each other, I don't think it make too much difference.
I'll try to look at the combat record.

![]() |

Corrected the hit on the companion.
So the Dark one is the "Moon Bear" PC and the light one is the "Sun Bear" animal companion?

![]() |

Sorry, I am easily confused, and I expected the one referred to as the "Sun Bear" to have a mask

![]() |

My brain obviously isn't where it needs to be with missing that error on the MAP. I'll try to do better.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I always forget to check for Tiny on the creature description. Yes the Raven is tiny, so no hit.

![]() |

Okay allow me to clarify: So tiny creatures can't threaten things not in their own space, but another creature can attack it if they're within the weapon's reach - correct?

![]() |

It is one of things that drives me a little nuts, especially since the stat blocks don't list 0 reach on the attacks. You have to notice the "Tiny" tag in the stat block header.

I was told by some locals that pathfinder society lore is free? Is thus true?
Yes, you can check about that here in Membership in the Pathfinder Society.
You might want to check about Additional Character Options - Pathfinder Training for additional character options for your characters. This is where we get the school consumables at the start of Scenario for those who are not Field Commissioned.

![]() |

Nanoc has it right. I was just grabbing the same links they posted.

![]() |

Thanks for the replies and the link. I've just finished reading through it all. I wasn't able to add an extra Lore.
If GM Computerpro82 will allow it, I'll add it and roll it. If not, just disregard my post.

Hasvi, are you using a character sheet creation tool (like Herolab or Pathbuilder) that is not allowing you to the the Lore? If so, does it have a setting for your character being a Pathfinder Society Character? Having that setting would change a number of options, including the extra Lore from the School Selection.
I am willing to let you roll it, but also want to make sure if there is an underlying issue it gets addressed. There are a number of other Lores that could be selected as part of adding the School training to your character. Please make sure you didn't just select another skill instead.

I use Pathbuilder V2. I've not found that option. I've taken a look at both versions (mobile and desktop) and can't find any references to "PFS characters". Where is this?

You're absolutely right. Now that I'm looking at it. I'd choose School of Swords - Scouting Lore. It would make sense for a rogue.

![]() |

I was mistaken, Pathbuilder doesn't have a setting for Pathfinder Society. I make my characters in Hero Lab, which does have that setting. I guess you would just have to manually track the changes from being a Society member.

You should be able to edit your post, but I agree with the change. Who should it go toward?
