Hearing talk of heading upstairs, Dennis says, "Fighting the bad people? Finally! To the stairs!!!" He starts running down the hall, but stops when he realizes a) Kidron is glaring again, and b) he doesn't know where the stairs are.
While he's stopped, he asks, "But can we still look around this funhouse after? Can we? Please!" He tries to be convincing, "Not to find boring research, but maybe there are cool things like more ghosts!"
To get to the next floor, they need to get past the Transmutation Showroom. Deciding to deal with those who intruded on the arclord's abode, the group heads for the winding stairs to the third floor. They find that the stairs of this tower ascend 40 feet from the floor beneath it into a large circular room riddled with books, magical implements, and crafting equipment. The couches look well‑worn and the northernmost of them is covered with unmade blankets, and several pillows, before a desk covered with a pile of handwritten documents and annotated books. The walls are covered with magical equations and geometric designs written in several different colors of chalk.
A tall, muscular shisk woman with heterochromatic eyes stands up from the northern most couch of the room. “Oh. There you are, Pathfinders. What took you all so long? I’ve been waiting for you all to get through those defenses and find the Arclord’s research for me. But now that you’re here, I’ll have to be taking whatever you have for myself,” she sneers.
“Mother needs me to bring her that research so that she can cook some true names and mix them together. I, Liaskra, don’t entirely get it myself, but I don’t have to. All I need to know is that you have what I need for mother, so I am going to take it!”

Mimi quickly reviews the situation and finds herself the first to react. Deciding to leave the ugly woman to the hardier members of the group, she heads over to confront one of her even uglier underlings. Darting to the right, she ducks under the reach of the minion and follows up with a jab of her rapier into the creature's chest before preparing herself for the inevitable counterattack.

When Liaskra mentions the research, several times, he grows increasingly bored. "Research, shmee-search. I didn't become a Pathfinder to do that much reading."
He responds to Zaza when she asks about it, "Nope. Definitely not. But if I did have any, I wouldn't give it to her. She's mean. And bossy!"
Mimi is faster than the babbling mouth of the enemy. She quickly makes her way to one of the Liaskra's minions, finishing her target on the spot.
"I don't believe you!" Liaskra scream. "You will beg me to spare your life, you'll see!" before she assaults the nearest in front of her. She runs at Kidron at slashes him with the kukri she is holding.

Satisfied with what she just did, she attacks him again, mustering her guile to attack him cleverly.
But Kidron is quicker this time. Liaskra hisses in anger.
Meanwhile, White Flesh darts three missiles made of force at Mimi!

Yellow conjure an area of grease (as Grey square area) under Kidron and Dennis! Yellow then raises a magical shield
Black also does the same at the construct and Zyek raises their shield as well, while Pink conjures under the remaining Pathfinders before raising their shield.

Even with his oversized full-plate, Dennis avoids slipping in the grease. He gives Liaskra the stink-eye. "You're not very nice. At all!" The fighter carefully steps out of the grease. Once clear, he feints to the left (and slips due to the residual grease?), and then stabs from the right. "Take that!"
Success: Your foe is fooled, but only momentarily. The target is flat-footed against the next melee attack that you attempt against it before the end of your current turn.
Critical Failure: Your feint backfires. You are flat-footed against melee attacks the target attempts against you until the end of your next turn.

Gah! the ysoki yells as she slips down. So many mages...
Seeing her creation standing steady, she tinkers with its valves and her on bow quickly. [smaller]All right LB: go help K and draw their attention!
The odd angle of her body proves difficult for her to make the proper adjustments, but her construct loyally follows Zyek's instructions regardless as the inventor stands up.
The clanky machine strides forwards and around the porcupine-woman to smack it with its fist while its distracted by the champion.

Mimi grits her teeth as she sees the incoming magical force bullets and grunts when they hit. "You vill 'ave to do better dan dat to take Mimi out of de fight you emptee 'eaded animal food trough viper!" She moves forward to engage the spellcasting minion. After some fancy footwork to distract the creature, Mimi stabs it twice with her rapier.
Rufus whines but manages to keep his footing.
As Liaskra gets close, Dennic takes the opportunity to poke her, piercing on the side. She did not expect it, but she is quick to notice what the fighter to do before he attacks her. "You can't just do that, nah!" but she is talking too much and misses another attack from Dennis. "Ouch!" she screams.
Zyek tries to bring her construct into Overdrive, but realizes it is harder while flat on the ground. She instead commands it to flank with Kidron and punch Liaskra, but the construct's fist falls short. She then stands.
Zaza falls to the ground so she carefully stands and imbues Zhamie's weapon with magic. Unlike Zaza, Rufus keeps his footing. Zhamie is having a hard to assess Liaskra so she chooses to shoot Yellow.
Mimi tumbles behind White and pierces them, and finishes them with a graceful attack of hers.

With another flesh creature going down easily to her rapier, Mimi realizes that they aren't really the most challenging opponents she's ever sparred with. She holds her ground as another set of force missiles strike her. "<Ungh!> Dat is geteeng annoyeeng." She crosses the room and attempts to finish another of them.

Zhaimie again attempts to calculate the best angle on Liaskra.
Sure of her target, she raises her Jezail to her shoulder and fires.
"Zyek! 'Ave your brute 'it Liaskra now! I 'ave weakened 'er!"
Zhamie strides to Dennis and attempts to slap a battlefield dressing on the teenager.
"'Old still Duhnee! I vill try to fix zat vound!"
Unfortunately Dennis' movements keep her from securing the bandage.

When the missiles strike, Dennis cries, "Ouch! That hurt." When Zhamie tries to patch him up, Dennis doesn't feel anything. But his mommy taught him to always be polite. The youngster tries to smile through his pain and lies, "Thanks Zhamie! It feels much better."
Wiping away tears, Dennis glares at the flesh creature that hurt him. But he quickly turns his attention back to Liaskra and says, "It's time for you to say bye-bye." While flanking with Kidron, Dennis strikes.
After what he feels is a solid hit, the fighter follows-up with a controlled exacting strike.
Considering he just used a controlled strike, he attacks a third time
Mimi moves and easily brings down Black. Zhamie effectively shoots Liaskra. She then gets close to Dennis but the bandage falls on the ground instead. Dennis the fighter (both literally and figuratively) pokes Liaskra from a distance. He manages to poke him at first but not the following attacks.
Liaskra is losing blood now. Maybe the other can already bring her down?

Rufus moves carefully to flank Liaskra. The dog's bite is a miss though. On the other hand, Zaza sends electricity to Liaskra and the other.
Both manages to evade the arc but residual electricity hits them .

Which brings down Liaskra with singed hair while Pink remains standing after being hit. Lil' Brute punches Pink and brings the creature down as well.

When Zhamie plans to heal Dennis again, the youngster is a little skittish since the last time. As she's about to try, Dennis looks imploringly at the paladin, "Sir Kidron, Maybe? Could you? I mean, your healing han ..." But Zhamie insists.
When she cuts him, he cries, "Owwwwieee!" He rubs his arm, and says through tears, "Th-thanks, b-but I ha-have a potion. From the Society." He drinks it down before Zhamie has a chance to try again.
After his potion, Dennis feels much better. If no one has searched Liaskra, Dennis does the honors. He holds out some treasure, some magic handwraps, and another piece of paper with more boring writing on it. "Where to now?"

Mimi raises an eyebrow in surprise when Zhamie slashes open her wound before patching it up. "Une interesteeng but apparentlee effective méthode of 'ealeeng. Merci Zhamie." When Zhamie is not so successful treating Dennis, she adds, "Perhaps de méthode onlee vorks on attractive females."
In answer to Dennis's query, Mimi says, "I suppose ve go back down and fineesh searcheeng de second floor." She heads for the stairs.

So, that 'mother': Aslynn, right? Zyek says as she strides over towards the fallen shisk and checks her pockets for anything of note. She really seems to be sending her kids everywhere these days. Not great parenting.
Finding several pages in the fallen woman's pocket, she pulls them out and scans them. Hey! More name pieces!.

"I can definitely recover my own true name and restore the wards from my research tower from these five fragments alone, but if you can find more fragments, I could conserve some of my power needed to hold the wards together." she tells them.
