Death turned out to be a lot less final than you expected, though. You wake up in a new place, inside a pod thrumming with magical energy. A warm female voice speaks to you within the chamber. "Welcome to the Outer Bureau" she says. "You have been recruited, saved from your untimely demise. It is a great honor to be selected. You will learn to--"
The sound becomes only static and you see a wisp of smoke come out of a speaker.
After a long minute the smoke stops and the voice continues. "..the multiverses and triumph over destiny. Have a nice day!"

The Outer Bureau is a new West Marches style rpg server designed to be system-agnostic as much as possible. A lot of the games are currently dnd 5e but we have 5 GMs who run pf1e and pf2e but need more players!
We could use more GMs too, frankly. I'm looking for someone who's got some experience running pathfinder online & wants to help me run the server. I'm aces at running west marches but could use a hand.
Players are recruited into the Bureau and assigned short(?) missions into GMs' worlds. Depending on the mission they earn rank points and credits which they can redeem for progress and equipment in the gaming system of their choice. The Bureau, a descendant of the SCP, is engaged in a multiversal war vs a powerful Cult. GMs can interact with this storyline or do something completely different, so GMs have creative freedom to the extent they want it but there is a core Living World.
