Hi I been playing pathfinder for a while and looking to go through at least one pathfinder 1e ap with vc with discord doesnt have to be anything fancy with whatever vtt or if any are used i just dont do good with pbp games I got a few in mind but will play any im good to play anytime after 3pm est on both weekdays and weekends and can use about any vtt hope to hear from someone! can pay but the most i can do is $10 a session also willing to do in person if your in jc area of Tennessee

Try this guy. We were up to three players, but two backed out do to scheduling conflicts before we got a 4th. It's pay-to-play (15.00 a session)

Well, you're posting in a PbP forum asking for a non-PbP game. Yes it does happen, but... as you can see it's not exactly common.

Try looking for a Pathfinder Discord server or call your local gaming store and ask if any groups meet there.

I live in the middle of nowhere and post on just about everything I can and have no luck

If someone can actually help me get a game together that would be great

I hate to sound negative or throw a wrench in any plans, but if we're talking about the first time GMing -- especially if it's the first time PbP GMing -- I wouldn't do an AP. They usually take a long time in in-person, but over PbP, an AP could take years, and statistically, an AP is unlikely to be finished in that format.

Instead, I would recommend that you start with one of one of the many PF modules that Paizo has released over the years. (I'm sure there are great 3rd party adventures, too.) Better yet, you could start with the first in a series of modules, which are a number of independent adventures that are designed to be connected, story wise.

The Price of Immortality series is pretty popular. It's made up of the following modules:

Crypt of the Everflame

Masks of the Living God

City of Golden Death

I've played Crypt of the Everflame and had fun. It's starts off as village roleplay, then wilderness travel, then a pretty cool dungeon, then you make your way back to the village.

Another one I know of but haven't played is made up of these adventures:

Hollow's Last Hope

Crown of the Kobold King

Revenge of the Kobold King

Hungry Are the Dead

(FYI, these four adventures were written for D&D 3.5 rules.)

I'm certain there are other series, but even if not, it wouldn't be too hard to connect different modules together.

Runelords or Curse of the Crimson Throne.

Crimson Throne was the first AP I ran and while we never finished (due to external circumstances) I found the AP was well explained and logical from beginning to end- which I read. We got to book 2 so admittedly this wasn’t far.

Crimson throne has less travel than Runelords but they take place in the same meta-region of Varisia. I know nothing of Runelords aside from the fact that’s it’s very classic in terms of TTRPG tropes and mechanics.

You’re unlikely to get a second GM come by and offer to run a game for you. Try looking through the forum and finding a game that’s to your liking, and submit a character.

Okay, dude/dudette. Well, I don't know what to tell you here.

I actually took a minute or two to join the server and look at what they are offering.

And they actually do run/organise 1e games. It is explicitly stated in the first post of the thread I linked above. I can't talk about the frequency of that happening, but it is there.

So it seems to me you didn't even read the thread or poke your head into the server to check whether they actually run the stuff you are looking for.

I don't know how to say this, but my impression is that -I- made more effort to find you a game than you did. And I am not talking about the others who have attempted to help you/give you advice. If I understand correctly, someone even offered to run a game for you. Which you seem to have turned down. But some players just don't mesh well with some GM styles, I guess. That's fine. But you need to at least try to look?

Imagine someone standing in a self-service buffet, holding an empty plate shouting "FRIES?" and people that walk around this person are directing them to the fries station, but the person doesn't move and continues to shout "FRIES?", expecting that someone else brings them some?

That's honestly what I see here. And I don't mean to be rude or anything, but you need to put in a little effort too.

I have to agree with tsm1991 in that even I don't like what DeJoker does to PF and its standardized content even in PBP.

But it was still an offer that tsm1991 should of considered taking more, as I don't think another offer to run a VC Pathfinder game will happen in likely for a whole year.

while some of the things he wanted was fine it's just one main thing that irked ne that I decided to just drop out

He chose not to join that game -- basically because not every GM works for every plaeyr still the game is going on without them.

Still there are several players that are thankful that tsm1991 got the ball rolling.

Its an Adventure Path based on the Reign of Winter should be interesting to see how things pan out.

The solution is looking for forums, communities and websites that are aimed towards live or VTT-based games and then post your interest there.

Even if the chances there are small, they are still better than looking for these games here since this is almost exclusively a PBP forum as everyone here is pointing out to you.

I totally understand the feeling, but IMHO looking at the proper place will still give you better chances than finding what you want. What you are doing is basically saying you want a pizza and after calling a pizza place three times and no one answering, you've decided to try your luck in buying a pizza at a sushi place.

You've said you got tired after getting the same response there a third time, well, you've been getting the same answer here four times already, for almost a whole year.

You could try…Start Playing - lots of people claiming to be “professional” and eager to divest you of your cash. I don’t think you should start with offering people money as it sets up an unwelcome value proposition straight off the bat. Given this is a PbP forum, for…playing by post, as opposed to live or VTT-based I feel like you are better off looking elsewhere.

all i want is a voice game i never been good with pbp games it would be nice to have it on like roll20 or anything but if we just have a dice roller on discord id be fine with that

You've been posting these requests for about a year now. Unfortunately we do PBP almost exclusively here.

I've joined these boards in 2015 and I don't really recall a request like yours to ever go anywhere.

Have you tried looking on Start Playing? They do mostly paid games but I think some free ones as well.

You will largely find Play by Post games here. There are people who post for Roll20 games, but not as many.

so difficult to find a game and not a fan of pbp ones
