Player: Warah
Character Name: Anock
SFS Character Number: 289224-703
Class & Level: Nanocyte 1
Current XP: 0.75
Faction: Wayfinders
Anock is a bossy, mediocre medic who thinks she's amazing. And that the lack of sanitary conditions in most places is appalling.

Looks like you have three signups, which makes the table legal (and we can probably flag down a hitchhiker to play as 4th for no cred). Are you saying there’s concerns with this table going ahead? (Not sure what you meant)
(I can also bring a lvl 1 if that balances better)

Yeah I didn't see it the other day on the sign in sheet or maybe I needed new glasses. There were 2 tables of 1-3 I think.

BTW, since it looks like it might matter soon, I vote for the Pegasus.
Anock’s best options for starship combat are Chief Mate (+6), Pilot (+6), and Gunner (+3). She prefers being the Chief Mate; pilot is second choice.

![]() |

I’m in the ‘always Drake’ camp when it comes to battles. Manoeuvrability is overrated if you have guns :)

![]() |

I don't feel too strongly about it, so if Anock prefer the pegasus, we can go with that. At level 1 the differentiation is not that big: it's basically the choice between missiles on a turret (drake) or (tiny) guns on all sides.
House has Dip +5, Mysticism +8

![]() |

If we need to attack the orbital defense system, it might be better to have the turret, as we'll likely be attacking one target.
If one of the ships has longer-range scanners, that might help us get info without getting in range of the orbital defense system.

Ooo, good call, Switch. Others have posted a helpful link to some sheets for Starship combat:
Towards the bottom it gives stats for the Tier 2 and Tier 4 Drake and Pegasus. Both have medium range sensors (Drake=budget; Pegasus=basic). Looks like the Drake is better for blasting things to smithereens, but the Pegasus has a science lab and a tech workshop. The Pegasus gives better bonuses to various checks as well.
Since we'll likely be doing more than *just* fighting in/with our ship, I still prefer the Pegasus. Thoughts?

Pegasus it is, then

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Starship roles:
Engineer: Pockets
Pilot: Anock (unless someone else wants it)
Captain (Intimidate/various skills):
Gunner (Dex): Kuon
Science Officer (Computers):
Chief Mate (Acrobatics or Athletics):
Magic Officer (Mysticism):
@The House, where do you want to go? I get the feeling that we'll be grateful for a Science Officer at some point, but using the Scrying action from Magic Officer might be useful at the start.
If you're familiar with Starship combat, no need to read further.
Here and here are more links that define starship roles. (The link in my previous post doesn't have all of them.) We can switch between them each round if we choose. Not all of them need to be filled.

I'll just start out as magic officer. I've got a whopping +0 on gunnery, but I might still choose that if the alternative is not firing a gun.

![]() |

My gunnery modifer is +7 if we need a 2nd gunner
My engineering is +9 but it looks like boosting weapons for damage just make 1s count as 2 points of damage not sure that's worth it.
I could also Demand as captain with a +6 to try to give + 4 to a role
Do we have the spec sheet for our ship? I'm trying to figure out our weapon range and damage.
I found the spec sheet
pegasas tier 2 .
The damage on the coil gun is 4d4 so might be worth the engineer check after all.

Anock was trying to set up clear shots on the platform. Unless someone tells her otherwise, she'll keep doing so.

I'm out of the House over Easter (Wed to Wed), so my posting may be slow. Please bot me as needed.

![]() |

I will be cleaning and cooking a lot for the holiday weekend. I may be able to post, but I can't guarantee it. Please bot if needed.

![]() |

In this case, only SP. See Reactive Repair.

![]() |

I've had some unexpected circumstances come up. I'll likely be completely offline tomorrow, and less active over the weekend. Sorry for the inconvenience.

![]() |

I hope everyone is still having fun.
Definitely!
I should be returning to regular posting frequencies this week.

![]() |

This week and Monday of next week my posting might be off a bit. I'm proctoring AP exams, so I don't know if/when I'll be able to post each day. Please bot if necessary.

Anock wrote: "Pockets is paranoid"
with good reason lol :)
I had intended for Pockets to come off as overconfident bluffing or intimidating his way through situations. Then came the giant cat beast, the sudden realization that rats can't eat everything, and a trap that left him with 1 hp. Once Pockets gets over his PTSD he should be fine... Until the next large cat encounter.
Playing into his unplanned paranoia has been fun.
I've been enjoying the game everyone has some interesting character personalities going on as well leading to some fun interactions.

Agreed: the RP in this game has definitely been entertaining, and I hope to play with all of you again.
I've sometimes been surprised at how my PCs' personalities develop too. It's honestly fun when that happens, which is why I tend to be excited about signing them up for missions that don't cater to their strengths. There's more room for character growth when it's not smooth sailing and awesomeness all the way.

I think we had a lot of chemistry between our characters in this game, and I just loved the back and forth banter we managed to produce.
