Khubelu completely confuses the security robot as to what her intentions are. Her intentions are, of course, to shoot it, but her shot plinks off the contruct's armor.

Delea, on the other hand, manages to hit the robot with a laser blast while Rattus doesn't control the recoil of his gun well, and shoots the ceiling.
The robot deals with the immediate presence of Cydney by raking it with a giant mechanical claw. Fortunately, Cydney's armor is as tough as the robot's, and the claws just scratches the paint.

The poor AI is completely off its calibration, and seem to be more focused on Khubelu's shadow (which is admittedly shimmering quite nicely) that Khubelu herself. Khubelu uses the opening to land a brutal hit, shooting it right between the panels and frying a circuit.
As the robot recoils, Cydney uses the second throw of his gaunlets to deal the creature another jolt of energy.

Chadrah keeps providing guidance to her teammates, even though her own shot misses. Egged on by the Lashunta, both Rattus and Delea manage to land shots, denting and disrupting the robot further.
The robot makes a charging sound, and emits a series of high-pitched beeps sounding like a modem handshake. The entrance blast doors close shut.
It then emits a sparkle of energy that whips out to Cydney and Delea, tugging strongly at all metallic equipment

As if on command, the robot collapses into a heap of junk after Cydney hits it twice with swarming strikes.
Combat over!
Despite its large size, the computer core in the middle of the room is somewhat simple in setup, and lacks serious countermeasures other than a lockout system.
There's a lot of analysis scripts on bookkeeping, economic computation and cost-and-trend analysis performed on a massive scale. There is no data associated with it, though.
And you may roll a further, harder computers check

Cydney immediately moves to the system, getting out his hacking tools.

Such hacking skills, unbelievable.
The computer gives access to astronomical amounts of data, which are transfered onto the holographic portable device. It readily stores the data, and only feels a bit warmer to the touch for it.
The root access also allow the lights to come back on, and the doors to open. Outside the facility, the shuttle is still waiting to evacuate the elite team. The bright lights of Cuvacara's skyline fade in the distance as the shuttle heads for Absalom Station.
Upon returning, Historia-7 is not there. Instead, the archives' cortex is sealed, with two technicians waiting outside: a shirren with a nametag 'Xarafo' and a human with a name tag 'Kaizel'. Oh, hello, did you manage to obtain anything useful?

![]() |

Cydney looks at the two, but doesn’t recognize them. “One moment…”
He quickly connects to the infosphere with his comm unit and does some quick checks to make sure it is the real infosphere. Pulling up the Starfinder Society page, he tries to check on these two. He also checks on a couple of other people he knows just to verify the site isn’t a fake.
All this cloak and dagger has him a little on edge.

We’re not sure where she is currently, but she asked us to meet you. She figured you’d be tired after the mission and the flight, and she wants that data analyzed immediately. Xarafo says.
Though none of you are closely affiliated with the Dataphiles, you have seen these two before, and know they are trusted starfinders.

![]() |

Chadrah takes a good look at these people, giving Cydney an acknowledging nod. This is too strange to not raise some flags. Such an important amount of information should be handed directly to a superior. She's particularly wary after Lanzio was telling them if we were sure our channels were secure.
Do they have any fake Starfinder insignias? Or any other kind of disguise?

Putting away his comm unit, Cydney says “No messages from her changing the plan.”
Gesturing towards the cortex door, he says “Mind if we wait in there?”

DM Kludde |

The group refuses to hand over the data to the two starfinders, and instead opts to wait. After a while, venture-captain Naiaj appears. The bleachling gnome Thank you for waiting. I have been put into oversight of your mission. You can give me your debrief now.

![]() |

Chadrah is still tense, but smiles at the familiar face of Naiaj. "We apologize for the inconvenience. We believe this data is too important. It was kept under strong security and we wouldn't feel right handing it over to anyone else."
Chadrah relates their encounter with Lanzio and what they saw and found at the complex.
She looks at the Archive's Cortex sealed doors. "Lanzio had doubts Historia-7 and the Society were capable of protecting the information of his interview... I do have to ask if- is everything alright? When we talked with Historia-7 earlier she seemed to have trouble 'processing' our conversations. You can see why we might fear there's more to this..."

DM Kludde |

The bleachling gnome takes a slow breath before she replies. “She… she’s taking some personal time. I realize this is not how we do things. I’ve only just been assigned oversight of your mission and I’m still coming up to speed. I certainly appreciate your efforts.”
A few days later, Naiaj once again meet up with the group. “In your place, I would want to know what you went to all the trouble for. We’re going through the data and are trying to ascertain who these people are and we’re not there yet. We do, however, know some of their recent activities, thanks to you. They’ve got financial data on almost every corporation within the Pact Worlds. We think they’ve been manipulating the markets, especially with regards to pharmaceuticals. Price fixing, if you follow. It’s disturbing because they appear to be trying to fix the price of medicine, system wide. I’ve got an uneasy feeling about this, but thanks to you… we have forewarning.”
Mission success! I'll report shortly, and finalize chronicles. Let's hope for a speedy recovery of Historia-7. Thank you all for your participation, and good luck in your outpost games.
For those still looking for a table: I have a single seat open for the Beacon Code Dilemma (3-6), and GM Blazej still has spots on his Subterranean Safari run (3-6).
