Hoping I'm giving the impression of a vital living dungeon (even though you're not in it yet) with varied factions each with their own agenda/pattern of behaviour rather than victims that sit in a room waiting to be butchered by adventurers.

On another note I'm working on the rules set again, lots of work in some ways, and some small changes in others. My thanks for your help.

The published/posted PDF remain in use irrespective of changes.

The armour rules. I want some damage reduction. Do I go with this 50% damage resistance thing or a flat DR? Like 1 2 for medium and 3 for heavy (or variants thereoff)?

Loving your game play. THIS is old school play. Sure you can kick in doors and kill monsters (and you will have to do that too) but this is smart cautious play. Kudos.

Chinese new year is an event in our family and CNY eve is our get together. Between cleaning, shopping etc its a whole production with my wife as the General calling the entire operation :D

I guess the only real cautious thing I would do is put Din in the middle.

Sarn is happy to go front or back, if at the front he can go behind Eddrikk with a spear or two abreast with Terion if there is room.

Din is happy to be in the middle ;)

I’m posting this in all my games. We are expecting a major snow storm tomorrow. While I don’t expect to lose power or internet service it is always a possibility. If I don’t post tomorrow apologies in advance.


What the heck happened with my inventory...dang, sorry. I must've posted it in my profile and then the site glitched or something. I see the post when I asked about the equipment list, and the followup DM post giving the link and me favoriting it. I also remember looking through the list and organizing it in a google sheets. DM if allowed, I'd like to add a few things to my inventory at this point and pretend I've had them since town:

Starting with 10 coppers. Rewarded with 30 silvers for first fight. Then,

oil (x3) 6
lantern 10
crowbar 10
rope 1
pole 1
==>28 silvers spent.
2 silvers 10 coppers on hand.

1 oil spent.

I'll move the game forward tomorrow... which is a public holiday so I'll get some mapping ready. I'll use roll 20 BUT take a pic of the screen and post it as an image file in the game folder with an A-Z and 1-9 axis as some players have issues using R20 on their devices.

Also slowing grinding through version 2 of the game. It's a wordier version as I might (in the current climate of OSR interest) want to push it out there.

Writers block AND format issues in GM binder are pains in the arse BUT gives me something to do tomorrow.

Yep, that’s what I was thinking. Or something like “Stevi got away so I hustled here to tell you guys.” Or something a little…darker. But I guess neither of those cast Eddrikk in a great light, but they do tie up the “Stevi conundrum”.

POSSIBLY. You approach questions pretty methodogically. Its helpful to me because I need to examine my wording etc.
