Thinking more and more on it. Much of what you see with the fighter and specialist classes are based on LotFP... just wondering if I should just port my version of the character rules directly into that system and just let it ride.

I could still add a plague Doktor/Alchemist and Monk etc adhoc and if I wanted to use ACKS subclasses for elves etc, it's a relatively simply plug and play.

By which you might guess writer's block has hit again and lack of progress has hit again :)

I really thought there would be a secret passage there. I suppose I misinterpreted the goblin map, was thinking we came in north center near the 'faceless' room touching the arrow-tipped line.

I had to blur the room number in the middle out is all.

Oh, I noticed that smudge as well on the grid map, but that wasn't what I meant. I was talking about the goblin map with the dirt background. I was thinking we were top-center on that map, the room just east of the room with the face on it connected by the double arrows.

I remember taking a look at LotFP, and the classes seemed slightly too straightforward and ‘featureless’ to me… Granted, it wasn’t a detailed read.

Same... but if I bolted on my classes maybe that would fix it.

Anyways I have 2 days leave so I'll catch up on my sleep debt and have another crack at it and a read,

Destroyed my sleep routine by staying up late rather than sleeping my customary 7-8pm.

If I am a bit slow tomorrow that's why.

I have an horrible tendency to stay up late - need to consciously fight it.

It may or may not have... it depended on how you wanted to manage it after they ran... there was a bit of a delay and didn't want to leave the game hanging in case of any missed expectations

One should never attempt a Concentration check while roleplaying on a train…always ends in failure.

New map is UP and bugger me if those little bastards only drew the bits of the map that were important to them...

FYI the last few days I have been wiped out physically so I'm hoping to raise the quality of the game shortly. I have a long connected run of back to back work but with a rostered 5 day holiday on the horizon end of next week. I ALSO have a court date but that's another story ;)

Thanks mate. Dungeon crawls, especially when everyone is playing it careful CAN be boring. I'm trying to keep throwing either things of interest, things to be discussed I/C or rolls to help with engagement.

Having said that, here is a cheat sheet for Sarn:

1: Use eyebrows expressively, possibly overreacting to a misunderstanding of vernacular.
2: Grip sword tightly and swallow.
3: Look to brain someone/thing, but not particularly rashly. He’a still wise after all.
4. If all else fails, or just for extra flavor, invent a heretofore unheard of Brother, Lay Brother or Mother Superior who did something tangentially connected to the situation at hand. Given the temple’s size is unknown if we get to over 6,000 members one can always use “visiting Brother” etc… Or just use one of the temple folk already mentioned. Will make a list on Sarn’s profile.
5: If still in peril, cast a spell. Any spell. For any reason. It might help.

Not forgotten or abandoned. Today is the US Monday so I figured a Terion return by today... plus I had a court appointment today (ended well) and it's my oldest daughter's birthday. Between running around on both errands? Let's just say I didn't have a lot of bandwidth.

We were unclear on how the spell worked. Does the protective field stay centered on the caster? If so, we lead goblins here to the field. If not, we go attack (presumably).
