Welcome to the game! Feel free to start making existing connections between your characters if you so desire. I'll have the gameplay thread up later today.
Before the future rulers of the Stolen Lands even set foot in those wild regions, they’re merely individuals in the southern reaches of Brevoy in or near the city of Restov, each with their own history and goals. As this Adventure Path begins, the PCs and others have caught the eye of one of the nobles of the city of Restov—Lady Jamandi Aldori.
Lady Jamandi, a wealthy and influential swordlord of the city of Restov in southern Brevoy, has come up with a bold and somewhat unusual plan to officially lay claim to the so-called Stolen Lands, an enormous swath of wilderness wedged between Brevoy and the River Kingdoms that has long resisted attempts at settlement. Her “call for heroes” promises a great and perilous opportunity to claim an equally heroic reward. As this chapter begins, the PCs have answered Lady Jamandi’s “call for heroes” and arrived at her impressive hilltop manor.

Pekk Lacdellvyn |

Thanks for the selection DM B - very much appreciated :)
Am hoping this is the newbies table as PF2 is new territory to me, so a certain degree of stating the obvious may be required.
Will get Pekk's profile tidied up and finish up my "crunch" and spending.
Looking forward to pathfinding a new realm (figuratively and literally)!

Vesi Medvyed |

Excited to be here!
Vesi has been wandering for a while and their previous location was New Stetsven, where they were attending university.
Likely connections to Vesi:
- someone interested in the natural world
- former university colleagues
- someone who lived in, or passed through, the Medvyed lands in eastern Brevoy.

Blaze! |

Hey everyone - Good to meet you or game with you again!
My preference would be that no one is already her bosom buddy since she's intended to be pretty rootless at this point, but that doesn't mean no past encounters or at least sphere overlap.
Blaze is taking a brief hiatus from out-and-out brigandry, so her checkered history as a would-be bandit queen (by varying sobriquets) could allow for some past connections for those who have been cops, robbers, or robbed.
She could possibly have some connections to Vesi via the natural world stuff, depending on the specifics there, though she definitely didn't attend university, and she's made her way here from the opposite side of the River Kingdoms from Brevoy.

![]() |

Russ could have crossed paths with Blaze on the road as another name. But the encounter probably didn't end cleanly for either party, or he could have joined up with her crew for a little when he was doing less savory work to get hisninitial funds to start adventuring proper. As such depending on where Pekk was also could have had a run-in or fenced goods through him?
For Vesi i know something was mentioned that they'd been out and about a bit before coming to Restov, so if they did a little good work could have heard about the odd knightly kobold wandering around slaying rats in basements of local taverns. Russ might know Vesi's family crest given he has heraldry lore, if they wear it at all?
Not gonna be able to write up a proper post tonight unless things stay slow at work but i'll start working on one.

![]() |

As for pf2e i'm fairly new, but i've got some experience under my belt from llaying on a doscord server and having friends who play, but i'm sure i'll have plenty of questions about systems that come up that i'm not sure about.

Vesi Medvyed |

Vesi is proud of their adopted family and although relations are a little delicate at the moment they would introduce themselves with the full name and wear some sort of medallion or ring with the Medvyed crest. And while Russ would slay giant rats, Vesi would probably try to convince them to move somewhere else. :)

All good pekk, get your rest and come back when you feel ready. I'm busy this weekend so posting from my end will be sparse. Btw dunno if you saw my comment in the discord but I adore Pekk XD

Vesi Medvyed |

A heads up that I'll be travelling from October 24th until November 10th, so my posting rate will decrease. Please bot me as needed.

Pekk Lacdellvyn |

Work bug continues to bite folks - have bunch of After Action Review content to prep, ongoing jobs offshore and a technical response to an Non Conformance Report to prepare this week...
As such, time and creative energy will be on the low ebb for the foreseeable. Reluctantly it might be better to replace Pekk, as I'm already feeling behind in the new system learning curve and narrative due to RL stymieing my engagement...

Knaxshi |

Hi there!
I hear you need another short person to round you out.
Possible connections -
Vesi - I grew up in a caravan of ratfolk traders. I would have likely passed through your lands at some point. I later was part of an adventuring group that turned to banditry if you want to start out with a little strife.
Russ'Ruk - As traders, we have lots of things and even more information. Perhaps we spent a day talking about the crazy way humans took over despite having broken eyes.
Blaze - you could have stolen from my family's caravan or perhaps you know/competed with one of our bandit group.
My discordian handle is PhiloPharynx#4206

Blaze! |

Hiya Knaxshi! My preference is for a past intersection to have had us in opposition, so I'd lean towards stolen from your caravan or competed with bandit group (so long as that's not the kind of thing that would make Knaxshi unhappy to work with her)
Bonus points if he intersected with her long enough ago that she was going by a different bluntly obvious fire-themed name (which would not require it being particularly long ago, heh)

It would work better for me if you were in opposition to my bandit team. I'm thinking that this was pretty recently, just before I left. That way I wouldn't take this personally.
I'm thinking that we were both active in the same area. Sometimes you found a target we had hit, sometimes we found a target you had hit. So we knew about each other's groups. Until we hit one target at the same time.
It was a three-way fight and no groups were doing well. Eventually everybody fled. As a sniper I was set farther away. The way you ran. I get the feeling that you would have fried me if I was in range, so we'll have this be further than that. I saw you, you saw me. But I was getting sick of all this and just turned the other way and got out of dodge.
This way there's some hostility, but we haven't actually hurt each other.
What do you think?

Welcome!
Vesi is strife-adverse, so being familiar only with Knaxshi's trader past sounds good to me!
Perhaps I was setting the horse down to pasture when you were approaching the caravan. You mentioned a warning about keeping them away from some plants that would be bad for the horses. I would have thanked for this and moved them. A minor interaction, but something personal.

Oh I vote Knaxshi actually shot her - Blaze isn't a particularly vengeful person so that won't stop her from cheerfully cooperating with Knaxshi, and then it just heightens things.
Would Blaze having injured some of Knaxshi's bandit crew be a problem? It looks like you were part of an adventuring party turned baddies, while Blaze was more like what we just saw with these invading Bandits - aka the bandit with class levels with a bunch of mooks, so I don't want to assume there's anyone expendable from your back story.

Knaxshi |

Oh, he doesn't have an issue with you hurting the crew. He figures it was a fustercluck and by then he know that his people might well have attacked first. I could see you either not having the range or just having missed. But once you started running, he wouldn't have shot again.

![]() |

How long ago did knaxshi start doing kobold/goblin raiding? Could potentially have a tie in there given he's lived in many warrens over the years and at one point was a fervant defender. And by fervant I mean classic fight retreat collapse tunnel and escape to fight another day. Russ is a particularly dangerous kobold even before he started adventuring in the hopes of building a kobold empire.

![]() |

Ah yeah if it was recent then all the more likely that it didn't pad out like that. And the scenario you suggested would be more likely. Russ's whole knightly adventuring started about ten years back when he 'borrowed' a book on human nobility from some traders and started to learn about them and saw how someone could rise from just a person into ruling over a kingdom where people could live peacefully.

I don't have anything for Blaze till the next morning, but I went ahead and put together a loot-tracking sheet.
There are a couple unclaimed weapons, a suit of half-plate that Russ might want, 5 lesser healing potions each (one of us only gets 4), and a total of 72 gold, 5 silver a piece.

Knaxshi |

Knaxshi will suggest that he climb the east tower. If he subdues the guard without problem, he'll give a signal. More likely, the fight will draw attention and trigger the party.
With terrain stalker I should be able to get to the tree okay. We'll see how quietly I climb. My next skill feat has to be combat climber.

Vesi Recall Knowledge (Nature) Success!
Vesi can tell you that mitflits, also known as mites, are self-loathing and pitiful cowards, easily bullied into servitude by other creatures or even slightly more powerful mitflit leaders. They tame insects, spiders, and other such creatures to serve as faithful allies. Mitflits have lost most of their ancestral gremlin magic, leaving these incomplete beings full of doubt and insecurity. Mitflits find companionship in the other base creatures of the world, and forge bonds of friendship with vermin, the only other beings that seem willing to accept them.
Like many fey, mitflits are weak to cold iron weapons.

Level 3 Blaze!
Expert in Intimidation
Expert in Lore (Fire)
General Feat: Adopted Ancestry (Goblin)
Got Signature Spell (automatically heightens some spells in my repertoire so I don't have to keep taking them)

Probably more of our one frontliner isn't the tankiest frontliner in the world heh... If it would work better, if we survive and brainiac allows I may see about retraining/reworking into champion or something a bit more, hold the line-y.
I ran with the assumption there would be a tankier frontliner as well, or the npcs ngl.

![]() |

I mean I like Knaxshi and Gunslinger in general, it's a very nice ranged option, and me swapping to a more tanky variant of frontliner, like champion, isn't a bad idea considering. I'll have to think tank it over the weekend to see if I can make something that fits in line with Russ while also remaining viable.
Since I don't know the deities and paladin very well it'll take me a bit to do my research especially since this weekend is pretty packed with events. But I can manage

Blaze! |

Yeah, simple enough to have Val come along more often

Blaze! |

Amiri can pinch hit if Val isn't feeling it due to her own story, so I'm content tagging in our NPCs

Knaxshi |

Knaxshi waits until Ayles is away and then sneaks the toys into his area. He's trying to fins places Ayles wouldn't notice, but Auchs' would look first.
