I left the names for his mother and sister to be determined later after I was sure you were okay with the idea, though it's possible his mother's maiden name was something classically Iberian for that extra Lasombra touch if you have plans for her.
I left the date open to make sure it was okay with you. Could be a mere 11 years ago, or even another Sabbat attack on another city more than 20 years ago depending on what works for you best. If you want Shane's mother to be a contender, then the Embrace probably would have been further back with time for each 'surviving' member of the family to have adapted to their condition and even for their personalities to change drastically as my rough draft story indicated it was already :)
Yeah, if you don't mind not being a native New Yorker let's say Shane and his mom and sister were mass embraced somewhere else, probably south of NYC- Philly, DC, or Atlanta could work if you want them to be from a big city. Or anywhere, really, if you have a good idea where you want the family to be from.
I'm still tinkering with the sheet. Shane ended up with a decent humanity and virtues on a rough draft. I may have to finagle some things down though to give him a way to do more than just survive.
My thought was he might have as a domain a small apartment complex that he pretends to be the Landlord's nephew on or something. This would give him an excuse for a herd as well. But I'm open to other ideas there.
Ironically, I don't think I've ever played a Brujah before but put me down for one aka Shane as he meets your approval while still needing a few touches.
Don't forget that while I want to see neonate sheets to start with, you will get 35 XP to spend after creation to put the PCs right on the cusp of being ancillae.
Also once we're done with Session Zero and establishing how the PCs are a coterie, I'll give bonus pooled background points to share between the PCs based on what you guys work out between you.

I'd be fine with 2 Tremere- they're one of the predominant clans in NYC. There's several chantries, bad blood between High Regent Aisling Sturbridge and Regent Wainwright, and the Maupassant Room focusing on political matters. Maybe your lawyer could be a protege of Genie, who's drawing back from clan politics (and not incidentally, starting to lose the esteem of his clanmates) to focus on city and sect politics.
I'm going to go ahead and make a campaign page for this game. Interest has definitely been established. Once the Discussion page is up, let's move character creation talk over there.
