GM Tyranius, thanks for botting! I'm back, and I apologize for the absence .)
Btw Radim has Lay on Hands, so if we have enough time... )
Tiger has assurance medicine DC 18, so save the lay on hands until you really need it.
btw, how does assurance work with Risky Surgery? Assurance doesn't add your ability bonus but the +2 from RS isn't an ability bonus.

Olivia's diplomacy is her highest skill. Society is middling, but trained.

My earlier characters are mostly martial characters... (i.e. zero diplomacy)... Tiger is my first PFS2e character.

Which location next? Labyrinth or Sunken Halls?
Yeet!
|
Sunken Halls.
Brunwulf
|
It would appear that we're down the stairs from the aspis agents, on a lower level, correct?
GM Tyranius
|
Apologies, you came back up to head back to camp and that's when you ran into the Aspis.
Loong Laohu
|
hey GM, I'd like to see your dice. Why am I last in initiative again? :)
GM Tyranius
|
Right! Hehe, They can certainly be fickle sometimes.
Brunwulf

I mean where we are located on the current map. It looks like we're on the lower area of a split-level chamber. The aspis are on the higher level coming down the passage. Correct?
I noted it on the map.

I would normally hero point that spell attack, but you all are doing a splendid job of subduing these enemies!
Brunwulf

"The Diverse Investments condition is now in effect."
I hope this means we can purchase some discounted items.
There are a couple items I would like to purchase.
GM Tyranius
|
Posted what it was in the gameplay. It is also in the Tactical Maps link for reference.
Olivia Danju

Shopping! The merchants from the Grand Bazaar have sent representatives? OOOOH!
GM Tyranius
|
All good. Just do them on your next post.
Yeet!
|
Are aeon stones up for purchase?
ETA: nvm, they're uncommon. Booo!
Brunwulf
|
Brünwulf is going to take the free potion of lesser healing & the potion of water breathing.
I was considering the Pearly White Spindle, but, it seems like healing is covered between encounters.
Also, it says it's available to all "members of the Pathfinder Society". That would mean it's a "common" item for our PCs.
GM Tyranius
|
While all PFS members have access to the item it doesn't change the rarity of an item. They are still uncommon or rare items. Access just means you have access to purchase those uncommon and rare items now.
Unfortunatly these vendors are only still selling common equipment so while you have access to uncommon items it isn't being sold here atm and will need to be purchased after the scenario.

Ahh. I was a bit confused about access to common, uncommon, rare items. Thanks for the clarification.
Purchasing a longspear for our underwater excursion.
GM Tyranius

All good. It can certainly be confusing.
Brunwulf
|
How does one "withdraw without provoking an AoO" like in 1e? Is it a step? What if one is swimming? Can you still take a 5' step while swimming?
Brunwulf
|
I found the info. You step to avoid attacks of opportunity. You cannot step while swimming.
GM Tyranius
|
Correct you are sort of off balance underwater.
Yeet!
|
I think the dice are conspiring against us.
GM Tyranius
|
Indeed, hopefully it turns around here for you soon.
GM Tyranius

There is a small pocket of air near the ceiling, though everyone received a potion of water breathing.

Does soothe stop persistent bleed? Can't find the rules about how to stop persistent bleed except by making a DC 15 flat check.
Loong Laohu

| 2 people marked this as a favorite. |
Healing to 100% will stop persistent bleed. Making the flat check also stops it. The only other way is to let it run its course (1 minute / 10 rounds). Administering 1st aid (successful medicine check) will give you another flat check.
GM Tyranius

Tiger has the right of it. Persistent Bleed is nasty. Especially when one of the ways to get rid of it is healing to full

It gets even nastier when you're either Dying or close to Dying...

Oh, hooray. I can't wait to find out.

Re: Godless Healing: can it apply retroactively to Tiger's battle medicine?
Loong Laohu

If you were eligible for a bonus at the time I gave it, yes, you should have applied it.
Loong Laohu

Olivia, bleed always happens at the end of your turn.
Loong Laohu

that cavern also looks familiar... we gonna find a lorekeeper in a spiderweb somewhere? ;)
Yeet!
|
Sadly, Yeet did not think to run at first. She may regret that decision... :)

How does incapacitated & paralysis with these cubes work? I got a 17 on the fort save, same as Flint, he seemed to be fine after. Brünwulf lost his actions? I'm a bit confused.
Edit: Oh. Wait. Flint got engulfed. I'm still a bit confused about the incapacitated, though.
GM Tyranius

Incapacitation
An ability with this trait can take a character completely out of the fight or even kill them, and it’s harder to use on a more powerful character. If a spell has the incapacitation trait, any creature of more than twice the spell’s level treats the result of their check to prevent being incapacitated by the spell as one degree of success better, or the result of any check the spellcaster made to incapacitate them as one degree of success worse. If any other effect has the incapacitation trait, a creature of higher level than the item, creature, or hazard generating the effect gains the same benefits.
As you are the only level 3 in the party your level is not higher than the Gelatinous Cube's level and so you don't gain the benefits of the Incapacitation trait.
Brunwulf
|
Yeah. I read that on AoN and don't understand it whatsoever.
Is Paralyzed a form of Incapacitated?
GM Tyranius
|
| 1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Nope just that this paralyzing effect has the incapacitation tag. Some spells and abilities have it as well. It is meant to give PC's and enemies a chance to not be completely taken out by a single spell by increasing the degree of success by a step.
Yeet!
|
Is the damage we're doing being reduced in any way?
Yeet!
|
Sorry, I should have been more clear. I was just wondering if Yeet would notice something and want to change weapons. You're all good. :)
Note to self: Stop expecting people to read your mind.
