"You're an idiot, sucking up to some demon in the shape of a mortal woman.”
”Clearly, you have not met her…making love to her is worth dying for…but you’ll never have that pleasure…”
”Be honest: what would you do with us, if the roles were reversed? mercy? imprisonment? punishment? or death?"
”Death…and that would be mercy as I doubt you could stand the torture here…”
"True justice would be to deliver this general to his mistress in chains and watch as she slowly tears him to pieces for his stupidity and weakness."
He laughs aloud. ”T’would be an honor to die by her hand…”
"Personally I think that we should grant him a quick death now. It is a practical and humane solution."
Irentios looks at Flint in disdain. ”Aye, you’re an honorable one, I see; you can’t kill me in one-on-one combat, but you’ll bravely kill me while I’m bound and shackled, eh?”
"We'll see about that."
"How would you like to pay, right now, for all the sins you have committed?"
”Dunno, not thru committing ‘em yet…”
After taking a couple of blows from Marta, the general looks unsure of himself, clearly shaken…
Will: 1d20 + 10 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 4 - 2 = 29
…and while retching, he withstands the agony effect. Irentios grunts, spits blood, murmuring, ”Bye,” as he blinks away, shackles and all, before Marta can cast her spell…

”Well, that was stinky. He clearly had some magical aid. I hope he doesn’t get back to his superiors and let them know we are on the way.l.”
Flint Firetoe

Flint shrugs knowing that it is indeed a very minor setback.
"No matter he will fall next time we meet him. I doubt he will be able to pull that rabbit out of the hat again."
"Shall we continue on?"
Flint fortifies himself with a spell (Fallback Strategy) and a charge off of his staff (Shield spell) right before the party is ready to move forward. He grips his bow tightly ready to use his pointy arrows on the general if they meet again.

Alie figures it was time to renew her False Life spell once again.

After the general vanishes, you gather yourselves and press on, before looking to the passage east, you examine the other two cylindrical chambers and find them much as you did the first. Dozens of prisoners in manacles, with one set of chains empty; you presume that much like the glabrezu that was impersonating Janira in the first chamber, likely the other two demons were doing much the same in these chambers...
As you move to the eastern passageway connecting these chambers, you see a solitary entrance to the east. While the entrance appears to be blocked with some kind of an opaque wall force, glimmering with all the colors of the spectrum, you can clearly see into the next chamber...
An arched balcony overlooks this eighty-foot-diameter round room from sixty feet up the northwest wall. Two identical balconies occupy the western and southwestern stretches of the wall; one supports a black-glassed mirror, and the other holds the bound body of an angel, her torn form held together by wires, glowing chains, and lunar thorns. Hundred-foot-long silken tapestries of demonic symbols and obscene acts of self-mutilation and eroticism hang from the ceiling to the floor below. In the room’s center, at a height of forty feet from the ground below, is a platform supporting a large, canopied bed, connected to a square walkway by a narrow catwalk.
You see some old friends here as well...Betcezia, the vampire succubus mix, bloody teeth gaping in welcome, along with your recently escaped General Irentios, whose arrogant smirk seemingly covers his entire countenance...
And then you see what can only be the Insatiable Queen, Izmiara, riding a large shantak, much like the succubus sisters you encountered when first arriving on this moon. Her body is the perfect embodiment of desire, a glory that only poets could give words to. Her flesh is seemingly stitched into the dark armor that caresses her supple form as she sits regally upon her mount, looking down upon you. She is the most beautiful creature you have ever seen...
Her succulent, pouty lips speak sensually to you. "Congratulations, brave fighters, no one has ever made it to my inner sanctum before without my express permission. I shall reward you for doing so," she wiggles her body suggestively, nodding towards her bed. "I shall grant you all that you desire, indulge any whims...fulfill every dark fantasy you might have," she purrs as she changes shapes into different forms, all breathtakingly beautiful. "And all you have to do is...love me...adore me...pleasure me...worship me...is that too much to ask?"

The beauty of Izmiara is overwhelming and Zaarah feels an inexplicable pull.
But she forces herself to remember the horrors that this queen is responsible for!! And the kidnappings, the cruel deceptions, and the demonic acts.
She hardens her resolve and steps forward.
“No, Izmiara! It is not love but control and a twisted form of affection that you seek. And we won't be granting you any of that!! We cannot and will not fall for your deceptions!!“
Her intelligent black blade hums in anticipation and her hand grips it tightly as she prepares for the upcoming battle.
Swift action to activate.

While the others converse with the beautiful queen Flint take advantage of the time provided to hide behind the opaque prismatic wall. He draws forth a scroll of Echolocation and casts it on himself to prepare for the coming battle. Time permitting he casts Divine Favor on himself as well.

I would dearly love to buff too, but usually that provokes combat.
Agata
|
Agata awakens as if from a long long nap. "Oops, I musta slumbered meself agin'! Was mighty restful - an' the dreams I had! - why there was this handsome fella, a general o' some sort..."

Agata agrees with Alie. "Yep, a prismatic wall, you betcha. Nasty things..."
Agata listens to the Queen's speech and nods approvingly. "Romance is it? Oh honey, lemme tell ya, ole Agata knows a few tricks that ye ain't seen before. I ain't the freshest rose on the bush, I'll grant ya that, but when the wine's been in the bottle fer as long as I've been, well, I ain't kinsidered 'vintage' fer nuthin, I'll promise ya!" She flaps her skirts in the direction of the Queen as if to emphasize her claim, though to the other party members it likely mainly illustrates that the time since Agata's last bath is measured in centuries...
Marta - A.K.A. Telmar So-Melnop
|
Marta can't help but thing that the two of them would get along famously. The creature tempting them is more likely a hideous thing than the thing of perfection being presented and would probably prefer to liaise with Agata than someone like Marta.
Seeing the others cast spells in preparations, Marta figures she might as well too and casts extended Divine Favor on herself.

Agata whispers to Alie, "If ye want to take care of the Prismatic Wall, me maidservant can handle haste..."

Izmiara draws her impressive black blade and points it at you as General Irentios and Betcezia come to attention and stand alert...

Marta fires up her judgment (protection and purity) and activates a shield spell as she waits for Allie to move them into the room.
For the DDoor to work, those not next to Allie will have to squeeze in so she can touch them, right? I figure with some having flight there is room, particularly if Allie hovers 5' over the ground, but folks will need to move first.
What kind of knowledge rolls should we make?
Flint Firetoe

Flint looks over at Alie to magically transport them over the wall before letting his arrows fly.
As long as we are in contact with each other then Dimension Door will work (no crouching required). I am going to assume that we did that prior to combat as we all know we are going in magically. :)
@GM Otha - Lucky for me that Alie is in the top initiative block with my character. Flint should draw first blood! :)

GM, would you mind resposting what we earlier learned from Knowledge checks about Betcezia and the General? And what sorts of new Knowledge checks would be appropriate for the Queen or anything else we might be interested in in the room? Also, what's the story with the terrain in the room? It looks like there are walkways - are the spaces aside from the walkways bottomless pits? Can flyers just ignore the distinction?

That last roll to hit was with a d10 so you may want to reroll. On the other hand it actually hit! Marta was hit twice so she should be at -10 NL and -25 HP. Also, remember to apply any damage reduction from clay skin and the like, though the weapon may be adamantine and bypass that DR.
Flint Firetoe
|
When Flint is struck by the incredible axe blow by the general Flint's Buffering Cap triggers (as an immediate action) softening the blow significantly.
@GM Otha - Lethal damage is reduced by 5 points due to Clay Skin. All of the critical damage from the axe attack is converted to non-lethal damage. Also Vital Strike/Greater Vital Strike damage should only be added if the general makes one attack as a standard action not on a full attack so this damage needs to be removed entirely. Flint should take 18 points of lethal damage (23 [3+20] points - 5 points from Clay Skin) and 77 [7+10+60] points of non-lethal damage due to the Buffering Cap.
@GM Otha - Everyone should be up now in the initiative order either at the bottom or top of the initiative order.
Flint Firetoe
|
Sorry for my double posting here. :)
@GM Otha - Damage taken should be 18 lethal damage (3+20- 5 points for Clay Skin) and 57 non-lethal damage (7+10+40). The Greater Vital Strike damage has to be removed completely.
Marta - A.K.A. Telmar So-Melnop

Either that or ignore the iterative attacks.
Agata
|
Agata feels the tickle of the scorching ray and grins approvingly at the Queen. "Foreplay is it? Ain't ye the naughty one!"
17 points of fire dmg come off of Agata's temp hp. She now has 19 temp hp remaining.
Agata winks at the Queen and then casts an equally malevolent glance at her handyman, the general. "Who's ready to party!?!"
Using the Evil Eye hex on both Izmaria and the General (Split Hex feat allows her to affect two subjects with the hex). She also uses the Amplified Hex feat (burning a level 1 spell, Blend) to increase the DC by 1 to 30.
Both Izmaria and the General have to make a DC 30 Will save or have a -4 penalty to their saves. On a failure the duration is 14 rounds. On a success the duration is still 1 round (and then increased by 1 round from cackle). This is a mind-affecting effect but as far as I've understood, neither of them are immune to mind-affecting.
Sweet Mawd and Agata both step 5' out of the range of the mount's hooves (unless it has 15' reach?); then the tiny azata pops a scroll out of her wrist sheath and casts Haste upon her comrades.
Scroll-Haste only lasts 5 rounds so it will expire before Agata's turn on round 6 and can only target 5 characters. Zaarah is just out of range, so the spell will haste: Flint, Theodoric, Marta, Alie, and Agata.
Then Agata swiftly sends a bolt of negative energy at the Queen.
Casting Quickened Piercing Enervation, using one dose of Dweomer's Essence vs SR
ranged touch attack vs the Queen, penalty for shooting into melee, haste: 1d20 + 16 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 16 - 4 + 1 = 24
Caster Level check vs SR 30 25 (reduced 5 by Piercing), elf magic, dweomer's essence: 1d20 + 17 + 2 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 17 + 2 + 5 = 37
Negative Levels: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Finally, Sweet Mawd retrieves her wand of enervation.
Is there a Knowledge check for the Queen's mount? I'm particularly curious whether it is undead.

If Hunter's Blessings applies vs the Queen then Agata's ranged touch attack would be 2 higher.

Agata, you can tell that the shantak is not undead...
Agata puts the ole evil eye on the Izmiara and Irentios...
Will Save (Izmiara): 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (17) + 27 = 44
Will Save (Irentios): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

...and the mad Queen yells out in surprise as her weapon leaves her hand, flying towards Theodric...the next attack misses but after that all strikes land, one devastating as it slashes deeply into her side...and the shield manages to bash into the shantak, but it doesn't phase it much as it is unmoved by the bull rush...

With Betcezia momentarily out of sight Flint turns his attention to Izmiara. He nods respectfully at the general adopting a more defensive posture and lessens the pull on his bow to compensate for any loss in accuracy.
He then sends his arrows flying at the queen to hopefully finish the job that Theodric has started. He relies on his Echolocation to bypass the nasty Displacement effect.
If Flint is lucky enough to down the queen then he will send his remaining arrows at the general
All rolls already include the planar penalty

After seeing the devastating attack of the general hitting Flint that is right next to Zaarah, she immediately casts Ether Step to disappear when the general targets her.
Ether step as immediate action to go and come back on her turn.
When Zaarah comes back she delays.

Her serious face crumpled into a frown, she renders judment. "Don't say we didn't give you a choice"
Marta activates her bane against the succubus queen, slips into a flank, and begins raining blows down on her.
If a hit connects and Marta makes her intimidate check with a non-lethal attack it will cause the opponent to be shaken for as many rounds as the non-lethal damage done, provided non-lethal damage works on it because of the Enforcer feat.
