OK, change that to Divine Favor. Oh, and she heals 5 lethal and 5 NL. I should have remembered that.
Agata
|
Agata had posted a knowledge check for whenever she could see Betcezia (which I think has just happened for the first time now) a ways upthread. I don't remember the exact result but it was stupid high - will you please tell us anything about her that we don't already know and her weakest save?
Agata wiggles her eyebrows unpleasantly at the undead seductress. "Where is Janira? Ye ain't too pleasant a host, I'll tell ya that! We'll be gettin' our friends and taking our leave, right after we kill ya, I mean re-kill ya, I mean, well, ye know what I mean!"
Then she starts to laugh horribly.
Standard action to use Misfortune Hex (using Amplified Hex to boost the DC by 1, at the cost of a level 1 spell slot (Blend). Betcezia needs to make a DC 30 Will save or be affected by Misfortune (roll twice and take the worse result on *every* d20 roll for the duration of 3 rounds).
Move action to Cackle, extending all the Fortune hexes by 1 round (they now expire before Agata's turn on Round 7) and extending the Misfortune hex by 1 round (if it was successful) - it now expires before Agata's turn on round ? (I'm not quite sure if this is round 4 or 5 for Agata, but in any case it will last for 4 rounds from now (or more if I cackle again).
Btw, I'll have family visiting until Saturday so my posting will likely be sparse. Please bot me as needed.

Sweet Mawd uses her staff to send 4 bolts of force at Betcezia.
Magic Missiles: 4d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 4) + 4 = 17
Flint Firetoe

Flint flies right in front of Alie trying to protect her. He reaches out with a hand and touches Marta. He speaks the traditional benediction as he heals her.
"The hands of Irori are healing hands."
Cure Serious Wounds: 3d8 + 9 ⇒ (5, 6, 7) + 9 = 27
That should cure 27 hit points and 27 Non-lethal damage. :)
Flint does not maintain Bane on his bow this round
@GM Otha - Flint is currently immune to any negative energy effects. Waves of Fatigue uses "waves of negative energy" to produce the fatigued condition. Hence Flint should not be fatigued. :)
GM Otha

Here you go, Agata. Also,I think Mawd will need an SR check for that spell; I’ll update with the results of y’all’s actions when I get off work…

Betcezia (-20)
Agata
Marta (-61; -15 NL)
Theodric (fatigued)
Alie (-27)
Strongly Chaos-Aligned and Evil-Aligned: Nonevil or nonchaotic creatures take a –2 circumstance penalty on all Intelligence-, Wisdom-, and Charisma-based checks in the Moonscar. This penalty stacks with itself for creatures that fall into both categories (-4).
Impeded Magic: To cast a spell or use a spell-like ability with the good or lawful descriptor, a caster must make a concentration check (DC 20 + the level of the spell).

While Marta prays for divine blessings, Alie goes defensive, casting multiple images of herself to confuse the succubus vampire and Flint moves into the chamber to heal Marta’s wounds…
Agata cackles and attempts to put a hex on Betcezia…
Will: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (14) + 18 = 32
…but the vamp overcomes the hex…
Mawd fires a series of magical bolts at the undead succubus…

@GM Otha - You promised to include my last post (and action) in your update but you missed it. :)

@GM Otha
Also, Flint healed Marta and she should have no NL left and be at -29
GM Otha

I included it, I just misread it and screwed it up; when you said you were next to Alie, I had you heal her instead…sorry, fixing it now…
Flint Firetoe
|
@GM Otha - Also Flint should not be fatigued as he is immune to Wave of Exhaustion due to Death Ward. :)
GM Otha

Argh…sorry, thought I fixed that too…just ignore it, I’ll update it in my next post…
Theodric de LaMontagne
|
Theodric repeats his performance, hoping for a standing ovation from those who missed the show the first time!
Shield Slam, HB, HI, HST: 1d20 + 38 + 4 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 38 + 4 + 4 + 1 = 52
magic bludgeoning all alignments dmg, HI, HB: 1d6 + 21 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 21 + 4 + 4 = 35
SHIELD SLAM: Any opponents hit by your shield bash are also hit with a free bull rush attack, substituting your attack roll for the combat maneuver check (see Combat). This bull rush does not provoke an attack of opportunity. Opponents who cannot move back due to a wall or other surface are knocked prone after moving the maximum possible distance. You may choose to move with your target if you are able to take a 5-foot step or to spend an action to move this turn.
Zaarah Katsu
|
Zaarah, still invisible, flies back again and targets the demon now wiht a hex!
“You definitely should cool down you evil b%+@~!!“ Zaarah shouts out.
She concentrates and suddenly a storm of ice and freezing wind envelops the demon!
takes 3d8 points of cold damage Fortitude DC 25 half : 3d8 ⇒ (3, 4, 3) = 10
Ice Tomb (Su) Effect: A storm of ice and freezing wind envelops the target, which takes 3d8 points of cold damage (Fortitude half). If the target fails its save, it is paralyzed and unconscious but does not need to eat or breathe while the ice lasts. The ice has 20 hit points; destroying the ice frees the creature, which is staggered for 1d4 rounds after being released. Whether or not the target’s saving throw is successful, it cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day. FAQ: “A storm of ice and freezing wind envelops the creature…,” so it only affects creatures, not objects. The target doesn’t need to eat, breathe, or drink. The general assumption for effects is if the creature negates the damage from the effect, the creature isn’t subject to additional effects from that attack (such as DR negating the damage from a poisoned weapon, which means the creature isn’t subject to the poison). Therefore, a cold-immune creature takes no damage from the hex and can’t be imprisoned by it. A target that succeeds at its save takes half damage and is not imprisoned. Under temperate conditions, the ice lasts 1 minute per witch level. In tropical environments it might only last half as long. In cold environments where ice and snow persist without melting, it might last indefinitely.

@Theo
Do you have the movement for that? You are 70' away from being able to do a shield slam. She teleported away on her turn and will probably be bouncing around in the future too.
Flint Firetoe

@Marta/Theo - Theoderic has Fly and Haste up so he can move 90 feet in a round. I will move his token. :)

Theodric does his shield bash thing again…
Miss<=50: 1d100 ⇒ 88
…and again knocks the daylights outta the succu-vamp, causing her to hiss and knocking her prone…
Zaarah casts a spell but the undead creature appears to be immune to it…
In retaliation, the creature sends 3 rays of fire at Theodric…
Scorching Ray vs Touch AC: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (4) + 21 = 25
Fire Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 4, 2) = 13
Scorching Ray vs Touch AC: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (3) + 21 = 24
Fire Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 5, 1) = 10
Scorching Ray vs Touch AC: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (7) + 21 = 28
Fire Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5, 6) = 22
…and the Taldan fighter is burned as all rays get by his defenses…
Concentration vs DC25: 1d20 + 12 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 12 + 11 = 34
…and then blinks away again…

Flint shakes his head disagreeing with Marta.
"She can be anywhere now as she can teleport at will. We should keep heading down and towards our goal of freeing the prisoners. She is a mere distraction."
"She might show up latter and then we will kill her. I think that she is smart enough to understand that she is not a match for this party."

Though Marta is loath to allow any such evil to escape judgment, she complies.

Tired of chasing the elusive succu-vamp around you press on and head south. You take several passages that dead end, each terminus with a sarcophagi, as before; you eventually come to a broader hallway further south that leads to the east…and also to what appears to be yet another large chamber…

"Hopefully this place does not descend all the way to the abyss. I know, I know, different plane and all, but I swear it is starting to get warmer."
Marta loosens her collar with a little irritation.

"All right people. Prepare yourselves."

Agata trundles along, complaining to anyone who will listen about her lumbago and an assorted variety of other ailments.
Flint Firetoe

Flint glances at the pile of rocks in the corner and casts a Sift spell (twice) to search through it magically before proceeding to the southern corridor.
46 Perception on a take 10 for a visual search.
41 Perception on a take 10 with a magical pat down through the rubble (Sift spell).
"Perhaps there is something there? It is worth a quick check."
This is a great spell for searching through debris and rubble quickly and at a distance. You can see and feel objects or physical features without physically interacting with them and quickly too as it is only one standard action for a 10 foot cube.

Marta is at max HP due to the heroic invocation as mentioned in the post Tuesday, 06:40 pm.
"Well, I could use the extra ring enchantment some day, but I have daylight and see invisibility already, so I should let someone else use the dead guys hand for now." Though from the expression on her face, you can tell she is not sure how she feels about wearing a mummified hand.

The floor of this wide, round room is carved with sevenpointed crowns and ghastly figures of lust, misery, and pain. Heady frankincense smolders in incense burners shaped like seven-pointed crowns, and everywhere the sound of tiny invisible bells chimes in the still subterranean air. Votive lights are embedded in the honeycombed walls, casting faint illumination on a pair of tall arched doorways in the eastern and western walls. Beyond the eastern portal, a wide hole in the corridor floor leads down into darkness…
Upon entering this cavernous chamber, you see a large snake-bodied fiend with a six-armed woman’s torso, pointed ears, and glittering, otherworldly eyes; she calmly twirls a sword in each hand as if they were batons as she studies you…
On one side of her, stands a towering, corpulent beast, this fiend has the hideous head of a boar and arms ending in fatty, four-fingered hands, and two small wings upon its back that seem out of scale to its huge body…nauseating beams of writhing color seem to play around its body….
On the other side, you see Betcezia, with whom, of course, you’re already bosom buddies…
The multiple sword-wielding lady yawns while continuing to twirl her blades, blindingly fast now. ”Betcezia, I presume these pathetic mortals are the danger you warned me of? Tsk, tsk, I could spit them all with my blades, one on each…since they’re obviously arrogant, not to mention caused too much of a ruckus, diplomacy is out of the question, I presume? A pity as the tall handsome warrior in front looks delicious; would’ve been a pleasant diversion playing with that one before spitting him…
“Oh well, so be it. Nal, greet our visitors…”
The corpulent demon. Gives a wicked grin as the light writhing around his body bursts towards you and encompasses you all.
Any non-demon creature, aka all of you, must succeed on a DC 22 Will save or be dazed for 1d10 ⇒ 1 rounds as visions of madness hound you..
NOTE: Roll your saves, make any knowledge checks, and RP if you like, but don’t otherwise act yet; thought this map would suffice, but it’s out of scale with the creature in it so I’ll set up a new map and do initiative in my next post, after work…
