@Alie - That is a pretty good idea all considering. The Displacement spell is likely gone! :)

Flint nods as Alie tries to remove some unholy enchantments. The dwarf steps again this time completely out of the cloud. He adjusts the tension on his bow attempting for greater accuracy as opposed to damage. He uses his monk powers (KI) to squeeze out another shot.

As Marta and Flint lead you down the hole, before you get to the bottom of it, a brief blast blows up from the very bottom of hole...

...and each of you feel stripped of all magical/spell effects (to include spell-like effects) from your person...sadly, that includes flight...you feel yourself falling swiftly towards the bottom of the chamber below...

There is also an effect on all magic items you carry but there is a saving throw for that; however, we'll deal with the falling first. I assume some, if not all, of you will have some preventive measures when falling so I'll await to see what you do before addressing that...

@GM Otha - This effect is a real pain in the butt and you will have to review every magical item roll for each character. Now some points.

1) (Assuming it is Mage's Disjunction from the nature of the effect and the Spellcraft DC of 24): Characters that are flying with the Fly spell or Overland Flight might be fine as they will fall (like Feather Fall) for 1d6 rounds at 60 feet per round when the magic is dispelled. If they land during this time then they will take no damage or potentially less damage than anticipated from the fall. Mage's Disjunction works as Dispel Magic in terms of stripping away magical effects. If this is some sort of Anti-Magic Field then Fly just stops suddenly.

2) We will need to know what the Will DC of the spell is to resist for all of our magical items.

3) I am assuming that all our magical items bonuses will be working to make these saves so we will benefit from our ability boosters and cloaks of protection for these saves. We might also be able to benefit from spells like Heroism for these item saves. You will have to adjudicate.

4) Items stored in extra-dimensional storing items should be shielded from this effect as they are not currently in the area of effect of this spell but are stored in a pocket dimension. Items would probably not be accessible if the storing item in question failed its will save.

5) A natural 1 on an item saving throw destroys the item permanently. I hope people have saved their re-rolls. :)

6) Zaarah has two negative levels which means an additional -2 on all Will saves. This is cumulative with the -4 planar penalty for a total of -6 on all item Will saves. Yikes!

7) Are new spells even possible in this area? I would think not.

Here are the magical items that need to save against the spell. His bow has the impervious adder so it should be immune to magical effects attempting to destroy it. Many of his miscellaneous magical items are stored safely in his Handy Haversack.

His Will save against this effect is (at least) +28 including planar penalties so he will only fail on a 1.

Summary - Only Eyes of the Eagle is destroyed (item 9).

Flint's goggles short out but overall the dwarf manages the assault fairly well. He reaches out and draws his grappling arrow in an attempt to catch the ledge before he falls further (Reflex save to fall on the platform and use of acrobatics to reduce the fall damage is also included way below).

I posted a question in Discussion about whether magic items that apply to saves (e.g. Cloak of Resistance) still give their benefits for the rolls for all our magic items. I'm going to roll the saves for the other items (the ones that don't impact saves) first, on the assumption that I can choose the order to make the rolls, and will therefore include those bonuses on the initial set of rolls. Then I'll roll the saves for the other items that do effect saves afterwards.

Agata's Will bonus is +21 (+10 from Witch levels, +1 from Wis 12, +5 resistance from cloak (which may or may not be disjoined), +1 competence from ioun stone (which may or may not be disjoined), +4 luck bonus from Dragonbone Divination sticks (which may or may not be disjoined) and Fate's Favored trait.
