Searching the area you find the armor contains a purple force field
armor upgrade (as described on page 206 of the Starfinder Core
Rulebook) and and the jury rigged battery. In addition a hidden storage chamber along the sides of the captain’s bed. The container has a several of the captain’s personal effects, along with a credstick containing 500 credits.

sorry if I didn't mention when the ship popped "back into" normal space you spotted a nearby etheric storm that's headed your way. You have like 40 minutes in game.

Embidi moves over to Momo, and after checking to make sure she's not still on fire, gives her a collegial pat on the back. "Nice work, Strawberry. See, I knew you could come through in a pinch, no matter how glossy and pale your new skin is!"

"What I don't understand is...was that thing stuck in the armour's force field this whole time. Did the crew know it was in there, and set up the force field as a trap?"
"Or, did that poor unfortunate soul put itself into a force field, and then, uh, die horrifically in The Drift? And if so - what was it protecting itself from? Well, regardless. Let's get these batteries hooked up to the bridge doors. That storm's not slowing down."

He'll also grab the captain's effects, if no one else does.

Embidi's okay to go on without a 10 min rest, but he'd def take it anyone else wants to - particularly since he can't spell-sing for Skip again until Skip take a 10 min rest to regain SP.

Works for me - Iseph, to keep an Operative, or else one of the perennial favourites (#BestSpaceBugParent Keskodai or Obozaya are never a bad choice!) If you want, I can bot a pregen as well, just to not burden the GM overmuch.

"What a dreadful creature. It seemed to be emitting some kind of hazardous cloud as well." Skip offers as he brushes himself off after the scuffle dies down.
Skip will never admit to using magic. A casual observer would think he didn't do anything at all during the combat, other than ineffective taunts.

As the crew moves on towards the bridge the witchwarper is all to aware that they've undergone some shift in reality. Odd, I remember him being a Sarcesian... it's happening again He remains quiet, not wanting to startle his teammates. He is used to the changing fabric of the material plane. He simply gives the Vesk a smile as they enter the hallway. "After you, of course"

Momo somewhat reflexively makes a cute gesture at what she perceives to be a compliment on her skin tone.

What a nightmare, she remarks, I can't imagine the Kasatha on this ship wilfully working with this thing. What did you say it was again, a drift ghost?

Yeah, let's hook up the batteries. This one still seems to have some power left.

Momo checks the Kasatha body once again, making sure the hazard has passed. Should we put this one close to the airlock, so we can recover the body later?

[ooc]yeah you need to hook the battiers to the door power supply?

Embidi is able to jury rig the batteries and the power comes back on for the door.

I'm assuming you open the door?

This room resembles a charnel house. The remains of two dead
kasathas are piled in the northwest corner, surrounded by
knocked-over chairs. A ceremonial table setting in the center
of the chamber is spattered with blood. The stench of decay
is palpable in this room, and even the sink along the southern
wall is coated in a dark-red shade. Storage containers fill the
eastern side of the room, each similarly spattered by gore. An
impressive set of double doors bars passage to the north, while
a single steel access door continues out to the south.

you're headed NORTH so the south door's are what you came through

Examining the bodies, Embidi takes a moment to steel his composure, and then shares with the team. "It looks like these poor unfortunate souls were attacked by one of their own. The wounds are consistent with a four-armed attacker. Perhaps this is why the other kasathan we saw was alone in the other room? Although why would that one have locked itself in a force field after having done this? Unless it was the four-armed training robot that did...this?"
"Well. Let's grab the logs, make best effort to retrieve personal effects or bodies, and get back to the Drake before that storm hits."

This ship is a nightmare, so much death while all of space is waiting to pound on it. It all feels so familiar... she stares around a bit. Shortly after I was rescued a strange man visited me. I thought he was a fortune teller, but after he spoke... I think he was something else. He told me my fate was to die in space. He told me I dodged my fate, but it might return to me. Then he said he would be there to visit me. He didn't even make it sound like a threat, just something inevitable...

He pauses then continues.

"This is the first shred of truly good news that the Exo-
Guardians have had in a long time! My many thanks for all
you have done in securing this important data. Now, there is
another important matter I wanted to bring up.
“Prior to the Scoured Stars incident, I was part of a group
of loyal friends, like the team you’re all a part of. Right before
that dark event, I bought some tickets for my friends and
me to a major upcoming concert. It was going to be our big
outing—a capstone to all our missions together. Now, all my
friends are trapped or lost in the Scoured Stars, and who
knows how long it will take before we find out what happened
there. The concert is coming up in a few months, and I wanted
to extend an invitation. No promises or anything; you might
be on assignment, and field missions take priority. If you are
free, though, I would be honored if you would join me at this
concert. Think of it as a remembrance for my lost comrades
and a celebration of a new generation’s camaraderie.
“Oh! I just realized that I should invite Historia-7 too! Okay,
well, thanks again. I should get going!”"

The End.

The witchwarper listens and nods knowingly. "Not all things that are seen come to pass. " is all the mysterious old man can offer in the way of encouragement.

Thanks for the game everyone, I really enjoyed the extra layer we put on the scenario with the backstories.

Embidi will also add his two cents, in his capacity as a fortune teller. He's got ranks in Profession (fortune teller) and everything!
"Momo, Skip's right. I've seen enough futures for my clan's hatchlings to tell you that these things are not set in stone. Call it Fate, Destiny, or the machinations of cold uncaring entropy, or strange mercurial Gods - any way, it still takes your hopes, dreams, and abilities into account. Your future is what you make of it. If you like, I can do a reading for you, now."

Profession (Fortune Teller) Day job check: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22

I did a simple 1 card tarot pull, which is surprisingly apt for Momo. In-game, Embidi would crush some bones into a soup to make a simple bone broth, drink it, and then read the bone chunks at the bottom, in the Hanakan equivalent of bone & tea leaf reading.

Momo's fortune:
The Ten of Wands indicate that you have been working extremely hard in order to turn something into fruition. At the end of that journey however, you find yourself being overburdened and too heavy with the responsibility that you created for yourself.

Thanks for the game, everyone! Great group, like Jones228 said. Thanks for running, Qstor!
