If I hadn't mentioned it before, roll HPs, but if you get less than half+1, take half HD + 1.

Yeah, you're beat up and low on spells, so if you don't want to go poking around Natalya's hideout I get it. No promises she will still be here when you get back though! If you do want to go in before getting a rest in, then at least new HPs, spell slots, and class abilities are active. Polly will continue to be botted until she either returns or you recover Natalya and/or her pilfered item, but I'm not leveling her lol.

Also, retraining is okay with me, so even if you get minimum HPs you could spend time and money later doing something about it. There is a general sense of urgency between books, but it isn't so time sensitive that you will just want to rush into the next big expedition unprepared (at least, not until the end of the AP).

DM, Bel was never on the plank - she was standing behind Saria (as per my last post - she only moved 5 ft - she was originally to the left of Saria and then took a diagonal step to stand behind her) and readying an attack if the goblins drew nearer to attack us (which you said couldn't happen due to them being small and below us which I wasn't aware or didn't realise). Only Zadira was on the plank. And now my character token's moved up on the map (which I never moved her there - she was behind Saria and next to Mallory on her right) when the kobolds were hurling and attacking. So, I'm confused as to what's going on with my character.

On the map I've moved Bel back to where I had already moved her. So, you can see she isn't where you've placed her now. In the position I had her, would she have been hit? I need a clarification, please, before I know what to do next. Thanks.

Bel isn't at the entrance (she wasn't supposed to be via my own post) - she's behind Saria who is, as is Zadira. I never wanted her upfront after the last combat debacle when she was knocked out at first hit.

Sincere apologies for my lack of presence on the board. I developed a severe eye infection in my left eye last week that grew worse and I had to go into hospital. I'm back home now, but with an eye patch, on bed rest. So, being in front of a comp for any length of time isn't the best for me. Thank you dice and Zadira for making that awesome, lol! She had 20 HP, she did 21, totally cool scene, hehe.

Don't worry, plenty of time for Q&A about this artifact to be done in character, but these shards are important pieces of the story AND magic items the group gets to keep and access during the AP. It's up to you who wants to carry it (and for the record, you can safely carry 2 max) but don't worry, more will be coming.

I'm adding the full deets on the Shard of Pride to the campaign info tab,, because it will tell you what it does when you touch it. Or the Captain will soon as well. When you locate other shards, which is the point, I will add them as well.

Everything else, the Captain will have to fill you in on, but I put up a big enough wall of text already, lol!

Anyone know if you can just get silver-tipped arrows? The special materials page lists Alchemical silver and Silversheen, but not just regular silver. I mean, you can get metal tipped arrows with other metals, why not silver? ... could even donate some silver coins to get it done. Is that just the way things are in pathfinder? Not understanding what the deal is with that, and I really don't want to take a -1 damage modifier for an alchemical silver arrow, which is the only one that lists ammunition pricing.

I think it's just a rules thing because it is easier to say -1 damage than "adjust Hardness and HPs by," based on the way they talk in the flavor text about the durability of pure silver.

That said, arrows are one-use items (although I do allow the 50% chance to recover an arrow that missed rule if ammo really matters, like the second book of this AP...) so let me figure something out price/craft wise.

Which reminds me: the nice thing about this particular "dungeon" is that it's literally in the big city. Exiting and returning after a night at an inn or shopping for a specific tool or just supplies is not difficult. On the other hand, exploring the pilings is illegal, so it would be best to avoid being noticed because youre coming and going frequently.

Complications with my eye situation. Looks like I'll be seeing an ophthalmologist for possible surgery on my left eyelid. Sorry I've been MIA, but I'm trying to limit my exposure on the comp and trying to rest up. I hope to be back to some kind of regular posting possibly around my Sunday (your Saturday) until I hear whether I need to get the surgery. I'll let you guys know more once I know. moving this over here to not clog gameplay - If we sell the Mwk chain shirt, mwk short sword, mwk hand crossbow, and silver holy symbol and divide the cash; when split 5 ways we add 115gp 9 silver to our tally, which may help. Obviously if someone wants to keep one of the masterwork weapons here, then that changes the metric. But wanted to get through a little housekeeping before we get supplies for the trip into the Crow. Thoughts?


Health first! I assumed you were still healing up anyway so no worries!

Re: shopping. In a city like this, I am not at all worried about standard stuff. That can all be done off-screen. If you want to be extremely cautious about offloading Terisha's gear, then someone needs to make a Knowledge (local) check to try and determine the best merchant in the Bazaar.

I think the easiest thing to do re: silver arrow heads is to just use the alchemical silver price, ignore the -1, however they're NEVER recoverable, even on a miss. True expendable, they're used up they're used up type of deal.

Otherwise let me know your next move when ready. Might be a long couple nights at work ahead of three day weekend, but will have lots of time for good strong updates this weekend.

Okay, haven't really had time to go check if there is anything else I want to buy, but knowing the price of silver arrows helps, thanks.

I don't want to slow everyone down though... I'm fine to head into the Crow as long as it is okay to retcon buying a couple of things, which I can get to this weekend sometime.


I forgot to mention that the Ioun stone used to deactivate the curse and activate the shards is still active, like how you can insert in a Wayfinder. The one she used is scarlet and blue, which is pretty nice. The associated skill is Knowledge (history).

Seven shards in total, so some might end up with two. Carrying three or more is not advised, lol.

The ioun stone part is neat, anyone who has played Ruins of Azlant know all about juggling ioun stones with other devices that do additional stuff, lol.

Also, the loot that I can price comes out to about 168 gold each (I rounded up), so everyone can add that to their cash on hand. (That's mostly from masterwork weapons that no one wanted, but we also found some actual coinage.)

We have three garnets as well, but the value varies wildly, so rolling to appraise:
