This central chamber was the shrine’s inner sanctum, but its grand furnishings and paintings have long since fallen into ruin. Atu spots
lunar-themed iconography on the walls and water-themed iconography amidst the remains of the statuary.
It is at this time that they see 2 creatures come out of the ossuary, and they don't look friendly!

As an icy-looking creature appears right next to them only seeing one strange creature on the map atm, not two Atu quickly tries to tumble away.

Amariel, what kind of damage does that weapon do? In general, please list 'vs EAC' or 'vs KAC' in your attack roll, and damage type in your damage roll. I don't know all of the massive number of weapons in SFS

Starfinders, the passageway on the south side of the ruins were unstable and have collapsed. Fortunately, the agents investigating the area were able to escape and find an alternate route back to the surface as well as one leading further down.

As the teams regroup above ground, Celita calls for volunteers to explore the passage beneath the ancient shrine. “Everyone,” she says, “judging from our discoveries, it looks like these ruins are arrayed around a central chamber underground. We’ve secured a route under the shrine that may lead toward this area. Investigate it and relay your findings back to us as you go.”
"While you are down there, please note any irregularities you observe. Our sensors have been picking up some strange readings."
You descend down the stairway behind the altar to come out in a larger room. Several pieces of rusted cookware rest on the stone counter tops of this room, with a few moldering chairs stacked in the corner. A single door stands on the eastern side of the room.
As you look around, the chamber seems to flicker every so often, and you see things the way they must have been before they weathered so. However, things quickly return to the way you first saw them.

The door seems fine. Ameriel moves forward through the door.
A small area of desiccated grass planted on the northwest side of this room wafts an odor of decay. The rotted remains of tables stand against the eastern wall. Several bedchambers lie on the other side of open doors to the south, the bed frames within frozen over. One of the doors to the east opens to a small workshop, and the door to the north is tightly shut.
Several human corpses lie sprawled across the floor of this room. Although they appear newly deceased, they wear peculiar clothing unlike anything in the modern galaxy, and the weapons they hold are simple swords, of ancient make and rather damaged. There are no signs of a battle anywhere in the room.

Or perhaps preserved from long ago. Atu Vaeyo says as they move up towards Buddy and one of the bodies. There are temporal deviations in this shrine. 'Time weirdness'. Perhaps these passed long ago but the bodies have not decayed.
The spathinae examines one of the corpses to see if they can determine the cause of death.
