I got no issues with Oren taking the armor. Joran would easily prefer it to be honest. Especially after seeing him get nearly slaughtered by the barghest the first time. That'd make him feel better about Oren being a bit more protected for sure.
One of you should put that chain shirt on though. A LOT of you could wear that.

Chain shirt won't do anything for me. It lowers the dex cap for an AC net gain of 0.
Caiten

It does also have the +1 rune though. So that would be a net gain again.
But it is also noisy and that may be a problem for some things. And has a STR score of 12 in order to remove the penalties that it comes with.

Crap. Sorry, thought it was like a hole with the walls covered in fungus? I'll admit not looking at the mao for a while.
Yasami
To be fair, a hole with walls covered with fungus sounds much more scary. For both climbing and inability to evade them. So it's kind of a relief.
Dario Zuz
Dario would take the armor but he is much more interested in having that higher stealth chance. If Yasami wants to wear the chain shirt and get that +1 to AC, it makes a bit more sense. Dario can choose not to engage, she has to get pokey.
Yasami
Would probably be better if Cev took it. I can get my AC to 22 with a stance.

Not really feeling it, unless it's Elven or somethin' ;)
Cev's dex will keep going up, but I'm happy to have someone tell me to take it (after he cleans it maybe)| Yasami |

Okay I'll take it.

I will take a hit into Stealth, but I just realised I was armorless up until now. So AC 22/24. Not bad.

Reminds me that I should ask Fern what Cev's new outfit qualifies as: hopefully it can qualify as Leather since that's what he paid for the outfit ... or maybe as an Armored Coat if Fern is feeling generous (Cev would pay the difference).

Cev, I am reminding you that you should ask Fern about the outfit/armour.

Check the chart here, those of you with speeds of 20-35 only go 5 feet per action on a successful athletics check.
Falling in 2E deals half the distance fallen in HP loss. You can fall 5 ft with no damage.
So you could spend 3 actions climbing down, then fall the last five, and be down in one turn. Crit success might get you down faster.
You are also only going to get down one at a time. I'd say maybe two people can be on the rope at once, before it starts jerking around like crazy. You might be able to talk me into 3.
SO -- I need folks to be clear. What order are you going in, are you taking the time to climb (in which case roll the appropriate number of checks) or falling and accepting some damage, etc. Are you only sending Caiten and Cev and waiting while Cev talks? Once I am clear on the plan I can decide upon/write up the fallout =D
Yasami
Hahaaa. Jumping. Cat fall, no damage for the first 25 ft of falling distance.
Caiten
Is it a DC 15 Athletics check - standard DC for a Simple DC?

and given this outline, what makes the most sense is a head start approach, like 1-off. Let Cev go down. Let him start the parley while there are still actions left for the rest of the part to finish climbing (gracefully), and then you are all there for the shooting to start or not start
(and if I read gameplay and none of this makes sense, I will edit)

Not to complicate things but how many other folks have rope? Is it just Dario? I also missed how deep the hole is. If we can knot the ropes (cutting their length in half basically) we could lower that DC down even further. If we have multiple ropes, we can have multiple people going down all at once.
Basically the equivalent of a medieval-fantasy SWAT team moving in. Hell, if the ropes end perfectly 5ft above the ground, one of the barbarians can jump in with the rope and hold onto it as it goes down. Get them down basically in an action like madmen!
Breachill brings all the crazy f&~$s champions to the dungeon.
Yasami
I have rope. Pretty sure I tried to tie it up against something in an earlier post. Before the mushroom gauntlet.
Caiten
The drop is 20 feet in total. The hole in the floor is fairly narrow. I think it is about 5 ft square, but I don't have the map open currently.
Cevendyll
Looking like Moon Knight is 100% fun flavor, you can wear full plate and say it looks like that for all I care =) Your mechanical armor is whatever you'd like to pay for. Want an armored coat? Pay for it and apply the stats. Keeping the leather? Also fine. =D
Armored Coat would leave Cev with no funds, but also was the principle of the whole thing. We also haven't done a treasure distro in a while (unless I missed one)
Armored Coat it is!

That means, with Yasami dropping in, we could potentially get everyone down the ropes at once if we go with the madmen plan. Cut the ropes short so the barbarians don't smash into the ground when they ride it down. That'll leave myself, Cev, Caiten, and Lisi to descend downward the ropes.
I'm sure riding the ropes down would be a more difficult roll but it is possible. What DC do you think that'd be Fern?
Also, how would Into The Fray work? Would I be able to move down the ropes with my free Stride and get down to the bottom with the right rolls?

20 foot drop, first five feet with a rock wall to brace, then you dangle into the middle of a room.
If you are knotting the rope I will even call it a DC 10. High school kids can climb a knotted rope.
Well ... some.
I was the fat kid.I couldn't climb anything.
The first pull-up I did was in my 40s ... but I fixed the weight problem!
Caiten
So yeah, to climb down the ropes without taking damage: 3 athletics checks and then drop the rest of the way down. That can be done in one round.
Not sure how much enemy fire we are going to be taking while doing it though.

So, reading through things and considering characters and what the players mentioned, this is what I am seeing as the order:
Caiten climbed 5 feet and fell the rest.
Yasami dropped the entire distance.
Cevendyll climbed down with Lisi riding as a rat.
Joran climbed 10 feet and dropped the rest.
Oren climbed the entire distance.
Dario went down last and also climbed the entire distance.

Thank you for this, lol. Kids left 30 min ago and I keep trying to post and being interrupted by coworkers. Getting a post together now, taking some cinematic liberties, appreciate the condensing <3

Oren and Dario drop down next to a prone Caiten, hauling him to his feet. (because I said so and it looks cooler >.>)

He might've been going by my post, I only mentioned the folks lined up with the hall spotting him... But using the ruler Cev could probably see him too. We can say Alak was hard to spot, kneeling, with two big anthropomorphic critters in the way. =D

perception DC 24:
That would be our perception DC, yes? Which is calculated by take-10 on your perception bonus.

LOL! Numeria, bay-bee! Here we come! I think that should ABSOLUTELY be a new spell.
Summon Truck Golem: You summon This
Heightened(+2): You summon THIS! Nickname: "Red Dead Redemption"(I stole that by the way) AND IT HAS A HEMI! Heck yeah! Get me one with a HEMI! :P
(I seriously no nothing about trucks. But I do remember the Hemi commercials). :P
