1) I am based in Southeast Asia (UTC +8) so my posting hours may be unusual (especially for those in North America). I usually update at least one or twice per day. Just to keep the game moving, please post at least once every day and at least once during the weekend. If you disappear for more than 24 hours, especially during combat, I will simply place your character on infinite delay just to keep things moving.
2) Please label all three of your actions. Even if you think what you are doing is obvious.
3) If I am unavailable for longer than 24 hours, I will let you know in the Discussion Tab. Out of respect for your fellow players and myself, I ask that you do the same. Real life happens, and real life will always take priority over the game, but out of fairness for your fellow players, please let us know if you will be unavailable for an extended period of time.
4) Questions, concerns? Feel free to share them in the Discussion tab.
5) Let's have some fun and tell a great story together! After all, that's what we are here for.

The small seaside town of Otari is known for its fresh fish and skilled sailors, but above all, it’s a big logging town, providing valuable wood to the nearby metropolis of Absalom. But for you, Otari is home. You grew
up playing on the docks, getting lost in the nearby woods, and hearing the fantastical stories of travelers from faraway lands, tales of terrifying dragons and virtuous knights. Such adventure always seemed so distant—until today!
Word has begun to spread around Otari that there’s a problem down at the Otari Fishery. Some are saying that some sort of beast is lurking in the basement, feeding on the stores of salted fish. Folks are worried that whatever is eating the fish might get hungry enough to eat the fishers next!
You’ve received a letter from Tamily Tanderveil, the owner of the Fishery. Inside is a desperate plea for help. With the town guard busy protecting the loggers, she needs a few brave souls to venture down into the basement of her warehouse and put an end to the beast that’s feasting on her fish!
Do you have the courage to face the menace under Otari?
You all meet in Tamily Tanderveil's office, having answered her call for help to investigate the goings on.
Please introduce yourselves here

Ezren - |

Once he received the letter the old wizard takes his backpack to go to the Otari Fishery. As the problem seems to lurk in the basement of the building, the human thinks already to face some rats.
Arriving at the Fishery, he looks after Tamily Tanderveil.
Hello, my name's Ezren. You wrote me a letter to ask for help. So I'm here.

Merisiel Silvari |

An agile elf sneaks in through a window of the Otari Fishery, and she hops silently into the office.
Her hair is bleach-blonde, and she wears leather armor with various weapons strapped to her waist. "Greetings everyone. I'm Merisiel." She shakes her head sadly, "You all have a lot to learn about the fine art of stealth." She brightens, "Fortunately, we may be spending some time together defeating this beast, so perhaps I can give you some pointers." She smiles as if she'd be doing everyone a great favor.
During the briefing, the rogue sticks to the corner of the office in the shadows.

As the problem seems to lurk in the basement of the building, the human thinks already to face some rats.
Rats? Who said anything about rats? (said with a perfectly straight face) :)

Valeros 20220306 |

A rugged man almost late for the meeting finally arrives. This dark, tall and handsome man almost betrothed to a woman he will never learn to love, is Valeros. He has a longsword, shortbow and dagger as his weapon and a shield to protect himself from others who would inflict harm. He has also a backpack and he arrives running and panting.
"Sorry, I'm late. Tamily, right? I am Valeros. I am here to help."

![]() |

Tamily looks at each one of you. "Well, good luck. The reward is 10 gold pieces for each of you if you can find what's eating my fish. The basement is over that way (pointing to a door on the opposite side of the building)."
As you pass into the basement, you each have one shiny hero point. If you have glyphs to pass out, you may do so now. Please arrange your tokens according to your marching order

Merisiel Silvari |

Merisiel looks to Valeros to lead the way. "After you, good Sir." With her rapier in one hand and her shortsword in the other, she keeps to the shadows as she follows the fighter down to the basement.

Merisiel grins and says confidently, "Well that wasn't so bad. Shall we report back to Tamily to collect our gold?" Like a good rogue, Merisiel searches the bodies and the surrounding area for any trinkets. She reports her findings to the group, and adds, "Or ... we could see where this hole leads." She listens for any sounds on the other side of the hole.
(Perception +7, +2 for Whisper Elf, for a total of +9)
Realizing Valeros is hurt, she asks Kyra, "We can probably take some time if you're able to treat his wounds." She waits till the party is ready before she climbs into the hole.

That setup's too good to pass up... "Awww. Valeros has a girlfriend..."

Valeros 20220306 |

”Thanks, I feel better now.” Valeros says and begins to move deeper into hole.
They are just friends. XD

Merisiel Silvari |

While Kyra tends to Valeros, Merisiel is listening for any sounds beyond the hole. Turning back to the fighter, she pleads, "Please keep your screaming down to a minimum so I can listen." She puts her elven ear to the hole.

I can lend my rope before we all go down with it one-by-one.
”Here.” Valeros offers his rope to somebody that can affix it on something before they go down.

Merisiel Silvari |

Merisiel peers around Valeros to look over the edge. "Ohh...this looks fun." The rogue is legitimately excited for a physical challenge like this. It's what she lives for.
When Ezren and Kyra ask about rope, she nods. "No problem, my friends!" Merisiel retrieves a coil of 50' rope from her pack, secures it up top, and makes her way down.

But he has a problem, how would he be able to hold his both the longsword and shield? Someone has to hold it while he leads them deeper down the tunnel. He doesn't want the others to be the meat shield.

![]() |

Valeros easily makes it down. Ezren manages to climb down 5 feet before losing his grip on the rope and falling the rest of the way. He lands in a heap, embarrassed but unhurt.

Valeros 20220306 |

”Wow, nice magic there, Ezren. No need for this torch.” he says and thene extinguishes the torch. ”Let's keep moving if everyone is alright.” he adds while getting his shield and longsword ready.

![]() |

Kyra also makes it down intact.
The tunnel continues deeper underground, eventually opening into a large chamber. Patches of glowing blue fungus cling to the ceiling and provide dim light. You can just barely make out vast strands of webbing across the floor and walls of this cavern, stretching between stalactites like shimmering curtains.

Merisiel looks into the room with awe. Her elven eyes tingle as she sees the webbing lit by the blue fungus. "Isn't it beautiful? And fun to cross." The gleeful, agile elf says, "I'll go first.
