Ragni: I forgot to list a saving throw you need to make following the dog bite.

Teja advances from around the house and thrusts her blade deep into the fat, green hound. It yelps and snarls at her, and then she stabs it in the eye. The warty beast falls to the ground. However, she can see that the eyeball is already reforming and the bleeding from the sword wounds has stopped. Apparently, these hounds regenerate like trolls.

Ragni summons a wave of fire, which seems to burn the cavern troll inexplicably well. The sickly hound manages to defy all odds and roll in time to avoid any of the fire.

Scratch blows the cavern troll's head clean off. It wobbles headless for a moment before it falls over. The wound does bleed. He then fires at... something... but nothing is hit.

I'm pleased with the timing of those crits for sure.

Elixia-bot calls upon Calistria to completely heal Ragni and then renews the forbidding ward. This time she wards him from the slightly bigger hound in front of him (red square).

The hound that Taja felled, opens his ruined eye, stands up, and follows his pack. The hound sinks its fangs into Ragni's leg, nearly undoing all of Elixia's work.

Azu sees the downed hound rise and calls out. "Maybe the fire or the acid will stop these things from healing? "

With his prey too far away, Azu switched his prey to the closer hound, circles around it for the flank with Rangi, and goes to work

"Rifled slugs to the noggin' seems to work!" Encourages Scratch as he scans the battle field for his next target.

Azu moves into position and delivers a savage cut to one of the weaker looking hounds. However, the wound immediately begins to repair itself. It ignores the wound and moves to snap at Ragni's ankle from behind (triggers AOO).

The unwounded of the larger hounds moves (triggers AOO if not used) to lunge at Ragni from the other side of one of its packmates. Elixia's ward keeps the beast's teeth from finding his flesh. However, he is not so warded from the smaller hound, who manages to find an opening. The hound grabs his ankle painfully and yanks the orc off his feet.

Scratch finally gets his long rifle reloaded, takes aim at the heavily wounded blue squared hound, and touches off the beard hair trigger.

Scratch blows the hind leg off of the wounded, warty hound, and it collapses again.

Elixia looks at the spread of creatures and winces a bit in advance. "Rangi, I'm sorry, I'll patch you up in a second!"

Elixia casts Guidance on Rangi first, hoping he'll use it immediately as she targets all (red area on map) of the enemies, including the downed troll...and Rangi...with a Sound Burst spell!

+1 for Rangi's save if he uses her guidance!

Scratch can feel the sonic explosion in his old, beaten up eardrums. A smile briefly separates his mustache from his beard "A woman that knows how ta make a statement, gett'um Elixia!" Then he starts scanning the battlefield for his next victim.

Ragni and Azu takes swipes at the hounds as they move around, but they both fail to connect. Teja stabs one of the weaker hounds deeply--twice--but it still manages to cling to consciousness. Ragni stands back up and swings at that same badly wounded hound, but its rubbery hide rejects the blade.

Then Elixia summons a thunderclap. Ragni somehow manages to hide behind his shield in just the right way to avoid any injury (critical success).

Some trick of the wind and air manages to protect the fallen troll and the hound adjacent to him from any harm (both critically succeed). The ragged, weak hound that Teja injured continues to cling to consciousness with all his might (success). The other two hounds' ears bleed.

Anjo then advances on his prey, taking a circuitous route to not open himself up to attack from the other hound attacking Rangi.

I forgot to regenerate Blue Square, doing so now.

Ako bites deeply into the hound, tearing out a chunk of rubbery, green flesh. He stumbles on his second lunge and catches only empty air. Azu then circles around and takes the hound down... not for long, though.

The downed hounds open their eyes and stand back up (blue square provokes vs. Ragni, then red circle provokes vs. Azu and Ragni). Together, the hounds try to take down the orc in their midst. The grizzled orc druid defends himself valiantly considering the number of hounds snapping in and out, biting at his ankles and arms. However, one of the larger hounds pulls him down to the ground and eventually one of the weaker ones lunges in and nearly tears out his throat (natural 20), leaving Ragni dying on the field.

The troll finally finishes growing a tiny head and stands back up. With Ragni fallen beneath the troll's pack of hounds, he turns his attention to the nearest Pathfinder: Teja.

Rangi swings his sword at the hound, and misses completely the one attacking him...

"Guess the sonic boom didn't quite do the trick. Let's try out these fire and acid bombs eh?" Scratch shoulders his rifle and draws out a gifted moderate alchemist's fire, tossing it into the small head hole between the shoulders of the troll.

He crouches slightly behind the tree with a smile on his face. Hellova shot Scratch you little pyro you!

We were given 4 moderate acid flasks and 4 moderate alchemists fire. I just used one of the fire's. Next time I'll go with an acid if the fire doesn't seem to work. Scratch also has his own daily personal stash of lesser fire's available.

The dwarf lands the flask exactly where he wanted it, and it explodes with fire. The troll falls to the ground again. The fire seems to be burning his flesh faster than it can regenerate. Teja appears to have misclassified this troll.

Burning oil splatters the hound next to the troll, and it howls in pain as its green, rubbery flesh melts away from the flame.

Unless the troll makes the Stabilize check, it should be good. But if you damage it again this round, that will also kill it.

Seeing an opportunity to put down the troll for good, Teja moves over toward it and strikes out at massive beast.

Going to wait to see if Elixa gets Rangi back from the dead and whether Azu's AoO puts red round down again.

Azu cuts down the weaker hound as it tries to stand up, but he can see that it is already regenerating.

Sadly, all of it's attacks missed, so no benefit to Ragni.

Teja stabs the troll while its body contends with the fire and so snuffs out its soul for good. She recognizes the hounds as ghoul hounds. They carry ghoul fever and regenerate unless laid to rest with positive energy.

Assuming Teja shares that information about the hounds, Elixia still holds off targeting them for now to focus on saving Ragni. She narrows her focus and casts a 2-action healing font.

Azu can't avoid the wry grin that creeps over his face.

"Well.. that explains why they call you Scratch..." notes Teja.

Azu unleashes his furry at the ghoul hound in front of him, cutting deeply once. His other blows are rejected by the rubbery hide. Unfortunately, the wound begins to heal almost immediately.

One hound turns its attention to Teja, since Ragni has yet to move, but the scholar expertly dodges every lunge.

One of the weaker, fallen hounds (red round) wakes, stands back up (provokes AOO) and (if it survives) savagely undoes all of Calistria's healing. Maybe the goddess intended this because there is certainly pain involved.

The ghoul hound that Azu slashed turns on him. The hound's first bite grazes an artery in his leg (natural 20 for minimum damage).

No. It did 16 damage and then the hound promptly regenerated 15 hp on its turn.

Ragni kicks the ghoul hound in the head and drops it to the ground before it can maul him. He then stands and extricates himself from the midst of the pack, which was a bad place to be, and swiftly tends his wounds.

The other sickly looking hound leaves Ragni and runs off to harass Teja from behind with a wicked bite the pulls her to the ground.

Teja delays until after Elixia, in the hope that the priestess can weaken the ghoul-hounds.

Climbing to her feet she first tries driving her rapier into the badly wounded hound (blue square)

But is hopelessly off balance for her first strike. Trying to recover, she flails around a second time. This time getting a lucky strike in.

Elixia takes the opportunity to unleash all the energy she can following the information from Teja while trying to not burst out laughing from Scratch's quip.

Scratch watches to see what happens with the wave of holy healy goodness before acting.

Elixia unleashes a wave of healing, positive energy, which restores Azu and Ragni back to full, fighting order. Unfortunately, Teja appears to have misclassified the hounds as well because they look better after the wave of positive energy not worse.

Teja applies the other tools at her disposal and drives her rapier through the head of the hound in front of her.

Scratch can't help but snarf at the results of the healing wave "Ha! This place cracks me up. Time for more fire!" He moves out of the bush for a better view, drawing then tossing another fire bomb on the already downed red round-headed hound.

Retcon then, didn't realize one was sleeping vs dying.

Scratch decides to not move from his current cozy spot in the blue spruce tree, instead he draws and tosses the fire bomb at blue square hound to put it down, then draws out another bomb for later.

"Must be some type of odd subvariant." muses Teja.
"Lets hope the more typical use of fire and acid work."

Splash damage or die from fake-ghoul hound? Azu votes Splash damage. Waiting to find out which hounds are vulnerable to killing...Going to assume Scratch wounds blue square.

Azu sees one of the, what must be troll hounds, take fire damage and launches his throwing hammer at it.

Azu unleashes his fury upon the warty hound in front of him, although it begins to heal from the savage wounds immediately and fights back. The ranger expertly keeps the filthy jaws away.
