"Any more of that holy fire?" asks Teja hopefully - thoroughly confused about the creatures resistances.

She twirls her rapier in an intricate dance before trying to slide it between the dogs ribs. "I wonder how it does regenerate?"

If it drops after the first hit, she will instead try to drag the dog toward the others to make for more efficient burning/channeling/singing/acidification/performance of esoteric dance of doom.

Teja drives her blade deep through the hound's eye--this seems like it has happened before--but still the beast clings to life by a thread. The Ulfen warrior-scholar choses to cut that thread with her sword. Unfortunately, she's seen how fast these things regenerate.

Azu cuts his foe down with a fierce slash and then cuts the body again. It would have killed any mortal creature. Then he steps away so that Scratch can do his grim work.

Encounter! Round 7. Bold may act.

Elixia doesn't have any way to finish off these hounds, having seen that positive energy doesn't actually help...so she then moves up behind Teja and starts working on her with her worn healer's tools.

Battle medicine: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
4d8 ⇒ (4, 2, 1, 3) = 10

She then draws out her Wayfinder of Rescue in case it's needed later.

Scratch comes out of his cozy tree nook to get a better view of the remaining dogs "Best you all back up a bit folks when you can, Azu's smarter than he looks!" He tosses the fire bomb at the round blue hound, then draws out one of the acid flasks.

GM Screen:

1d20 ⇒ 11

Scratch misses his target, but even the splattering of burning alchemist's fire is enough to make the hound's flesh melt. The hound that Azu brought low regenerates enough to stand and give you some minor trouble before the rest of you are able to beat it back down and trial acid against its healing abilities. It turns out that acid is, while not as much as fire, effective.

As the last of the beasts fall before you, you glimpse of Sveinn Blood-Eagle and his men charging toward the forested horizon. A lumbering frost giant swings it’s massive hammer at Sveinn, and the former Linnorm King of Kalsgard interposes his shield. The steelshod timber cracks with a sound that rolls across the battlefield, and without missing a beat, the century-old Ulfen casts the shards aside, hurls his axe at the giant’s groin, and whips the mighty hand-and-a-half sword strapped to his back free of its scabbard just in time to deflect a claw slash from a vicious frost troll. As the mighty king disappears from sight, the echoes of his song, a funeral dirge for himself and his men sung in ancient Skald, echoes, drowning out the last feeble gasps of the monsters he and his men have slain.

With the battle over, it is clear that several in the town were wounded during the assault, and scores, perhaps hundreds, of monsters were slain. Not one of the warriors or carls who accompanied Sveinn can be seen to have fallen in the melee.

Rahahksenwe, the representative of the shore council, and Mayor Bloodfang approach you. They each show the signs of battle with their broken weapons and blood-stained clothes. "Thank you, Pathfinders," Mayor Bloodfang says. "You're assistance today was much appreciated."

"We would be glad to host such formidable warriors in Port Valen," Rahahksenwe says. "Especially now that many of our town’s mightiest defenders have followed Sveinn to Valenhall. Take these gifts as representation of our thanks." She offers you a fine looking shield and artfully crafted hatchet.

"As agreed," Mayor Bloodfang continues, "your society may take stewardship of the land between the Yrmirnars and Molwans and build their lodge there. Or, we have agreed, that you may claim ownership of Sveinn's feast hall. Let us know what you decide. But, for now, we tend to the wounded and then feast!"

For reporting purposes, I need to know which location you choose.

Once their pack of troll dogs are dispatched Scratch hands out the rest of the remaining bombs before climbing up the tallest building he can find to help clear the city of any lingering invasion forces.

BOOM! Rings out once and a while, followed by either a laugh or some Dwarven swearing.

"Brings back some memories folks, nothin' like doing this with a few beers and snacks on the side. Speakin' of.. sincha's down there maybe rustle up somethin' and send it up?" He spots something else and quickly fires off another kill shot.

BOOM! "Too slow ya big mutt!"

Based on the descriptions, the better option was the land between the two families, so that would be Scratch's choice.

Land between two families sounds good

Teja nods. "The land between the families has advantages ... of course so does living in town. But often Pathfinders want to be out of the... direct sight of authorities." she agrees.

Looking around she adsd "And there are other good uses for the feasthall in town."

Elixia has no strong opinions between these choices, and will happily go with the majority decision within the team unless there is a tie.
