This is my early warning that I'll be leaving on Wed 16 March for a long, international vacation that will have me completely disconnected until 28 March. Most likely, I won't be able to post at all. If I do find myself in a position to post, it will be without a keyboard; the best I'd be able to offer is to guide the botting of The Armenian Man from the discussion thread; I don't do well with the forum formatting tags from my phone.
I'll post another reminder on 16 March when I leave.
Sounds good... but could you give us some solid botting instructions on your character sheet, please?

With the reveal of the pipe, let's get an initiative roster going. Just so we are prepared :)
I am assuming (now that I read this), my posted action won't make sense, and that you want us to roll initiative!

I'll try to get that updated before I leave. I'm entering the time crunch now.

Hello everyone, I have no problem to continue. ;-)

Hi all; I suffered a sever broken leg while on vacation. I'm not going to be able to sit at a computer for any extended period of time for the foreseeable future, and I'm just not good at posting from mobile devices. I'm afraid that as of now I'm going to have to take an indefinite hiatus. Please feel free to bot my PC as needed to complete the current game, and issue me the appropriate credit on my chronicle.

So guys, how do we proceed? Has anyone contacted Tonya to see if she can find a replacement GM?

![]() |

Thanks, I would be happy to continue the scenario and also would very much like the opportunity to roll for boons etc.
Hopefully we can have another GM support us to finish the game.

I'm in a position where I could probably start playing games again, so I'm wondering what the status of this table is now. I don't see a way to PM Tonya; her profile lacks the "Send Private Message" link that I'm used to seeing on other people's profiles.
I've PMed Redalia so that leadership can weigh in. I assume that we're probably done. With this being a retired scenario, we can't just seek out a replacement GM; I'm sure Tonya being GM was one of the reasons it was offered this way.

Hey folks we are looking into this game and in talks of another avenue to help get this game back going and on track once more. Apologies for the delay.

![]() |

Thanks for your support!!

![]() |

Don’t worry about timing. :-)
Thanks for everything!

![]() |

Roland is still here, and willing to carry on.

![]() |

Of course.

![]() |

Can’t get rid of me that easily!

![]() |

Alright it looks as if everyone is still here. That's great!
Unfortunately Tonya will be unable to continue this adventure and we still would like to make it special for all of you with this being a retired scenario. So Paizo has graciously agreed to drop the scenario to me so that I can help see this table to completion.
The drop should be heading my way here shortly but in the meantime I will read through your posts so I can get situated and be able to kick this back into gear immediately.

2 people marked this as a favorite. |

Looks like an infection in her port. I think it got caught fairly early, but things will be complicated for at least a few days.
I'll post when I can, typically when they throw me out

I saw Roland's 20 with his alkali flask and went down a little rabbit hole to confirm whether or not it deals extra damage as a critical hit. I confirmed that it does would if the target wasn't a swarm, but I also ran across this little tidbit that I never realized: splash weapons deal their splash damage to both the target and adjacent creatures:
Most bombs also have the splash trait. When you use a thrown weapon with the splash trait, you don't add your Strength modifier to the damage roll. If an attack with a splash weapon fails, succeeds, or critically succeeds, all creatures within 5 feet of the target (including the target) take the listed splash damage. On a critical failure, the bomb misses entirely, dealing no damage. Add splash damage together with the initial damage against the target before applying the target's resistance or weakness. You don't multiply splash damage on a critical hit.
For example, if you throw a lesser acid flask and hit your target, that creature takes 1 acid damage, 1d6 persistent acid damage, and 1 acid splash damage. All other creatures within 5 feet of it take 1 acid splash damage. On a critical hit, the target takes 2 acid damage and 2d6 persistent acid damage, but the splash damage is still 1. If you miss, the target and all creatures within 5 feet take only 1 splash damage. If you critically fail, no one takes any damage.

Your link is to the 2e ruleset but yes, splash weapons do deal some extra damage to swarms but will also splash and hit anything adjacent to where the weapons hits (Which can be a bit random in 1e.

Oops! How did I miss that. Sorry for the distraction, haha. No wonder I hadn't encountered that rule before.

![]() |

I am getting a strong Cookie Monster vibe + voice from our new friend ;)
Haha definitely. Either that or Oscar the Grouch eating his garbage.

![]() |

I really love these trash eating monsters! ;)
So sad that we’ve got to fight them!

![]() |

If folks are up for it, please use spoilers when talking via message
Remember that message works with the caster as a hub, who technically has to relay all messages.
I’ll spoiler the response when going to an individual, or if to everyone just post it.
But, it’s up to you all.

![]() |

By the way: this was my last phantasmagorial breath weapon. :-)

![]() |

I love the message spell.
But it’s rarely properly used. :-/

![]() |

I love the message spell.

You mean how I am using it?

![]() |

Ha ha! No … the group’s personality often conflicts secrecy and espionage.
Khorshid for instance is just too arrogant to believe that he needs that.
Did you have real success with message spells in the past?

![]() |

I've used it a lot, but we've mostly hand-waved the "telephone operator" aspect.

![]() |

Yeah, I can see that especially in pbp the telephone operator aspect is a little complicated.
I have the feeling that in scenarios at lower levels it actually would be useful but there your caster level is so low that you never get the whole team and then it gets complicated.
~
On another note: I really like the Undine Watersinger character build! Super fitting! ;-)

![]() |

It is fun. Not powerful, but fun, for sure.
This character has been around from the time it took a boon to get an undine. (pre-season 6, I think?)

![]() |

Oh wow! That is a long time ago! I am so glad that they opened up the elemental races for everyone.
I have six Ifrit characters. ;-)
Your bard definitely excels in water setting where others struggle and on land you are a great support and also have offensive options!

![]() |

It is rare that he gets the chance to shine this way.
In fact, I didn't have a clue it would be the case, so that's fun!
He'll be "water punching" soon.
