Chart Caster Mesmerist Archetype
Feign Destiny (Su): At 3rd level, as an immediate action, a chart caster can grant an ally a +1 competence bonus on a failed attack roll, saving throw, or skill check by reminding his ally of their destined success. The chart caster must use his ability within 1 round of the failed check, and his ally must be within 30 feet of him when he does. If the bonus is enough to turn the failure into a success, the ally succeeds at the check.

Reading further, and looking at the e-mail, it looks like I am the replacement.
I am still surprised an honored to have the opportunity to play.
Looking at my High Tier options, It looks like we might need Melee types, so I could bring the following options, none of whom have on-line profiles yet.
Level 4 Huntmaster cavalier
Level 5 slayer
Level 5 Unchained Monk/Sorcerer (on his way to Dragon Disciple)
Level 4 Unchained Rogue
Of course only one of these has been played since 2017, and that one game was in 2018, so I may be a little rusty.

So it looks like we have bard, cleric, medium, cavalier, and warpriest.
We look well stocked in muscle and divine casters and have a bard as skill monkey, so I'll go see what I have at the right level in terms of arcane casters.
Don't expect too much "Skill" out of Z'Hor'll... expect lots of slapstick comedy. :P

I'm excited to be your GM for this adventure! As it is my first time GMing PbP, if you wish to add suggestions on how I can improve the experience, please do so! It looks like we are a table of six playing Tier 4-5. We are running PFS first ed rules and with normal campaign restrictions.
I'm shooting to be on in the morning and evening, Pacific time, every day. I'll try to check in during the afternoons, but that is dependant on how many emergencies need my attention. I'd ask everyone to try and check in at least once a day, so we can keep the momentum going.
I'll be using Owlbear Rodeo for maps. It is a web-based map-sharing program that is free to use. I'll post a link as an ooc comment when we move to combat.
Speaking of combat, when we get to combat, I'll post the initiative chart. Please post your actions as you can I'll resolve in narrative. Then we can wash, rinse, repeat.
I think those are the big things, but I'm sure I've forgotten lots of stuff. Please ask any questions!

Thank you for the heads up. Since we are asynchronous, as long as you use it within the next posting cycle, before I do the follow up resolution narrative, it activates.

The good news is that my covid test came back negative! I slept all day Sunday, took yesterday to rest as well (though did a bit of baking cause, well, scones), and am feeling somewhat better today. Thanks for all the words of encouragement to take some time to rest!
Now let's see what Fuln has to say to you all :)

Hi.
First, an apology for the radio silence. I should have dropped in and let you all know what was happening.
I'm going to put it behind a spoiler tag, as there is a potential mental health trigger here.
In 2021, I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder. A few weeks ago, it got bad enough to manifest as physical symptoms that made work difficult and any non-work activities almost impossible. The techniques I had used for so long, even before a formal diagnosis, to manage my anxiety stopped working under the combined forces of a pandemic, a global conflict, and a very in flux work environment.
How does this apply to our game? I thought I was well enough equipped with my experience running physical and VTT games that it wouldn't be an issue. In the first week, I found out how sorely I had underestimated the differences of PbP. As a result, the game wound up causing more stress than I had anticipated and was prepared for. I tried to push through it, was briefly successful, but mind over matter didn't work and it came back worse than ever.
I should have updated you then, but didn't and just went back into silent mode. I was embarrassed to admit I couldn't handle it. I was caught in a vicious chicken-egg cycle. The longer was away, the more embarrassed I was, the more anxiety I had, the more I froze every time I tried to post.
The good news is that I've started a new course of treatment with a new, fabulously supportive provider, who is helping me find other resources and techniques to lean on.
I'm very sorry for the delay and the silence. I'm at a place now where I think I can come back and that I've got a support network to work through the issues that caused my absence as they arise. I really want to run this game for you.

You probably don't remember me, but we met at a convention in Denver a few years ago.
I can't say I have had the same experiences you have, but I can say I have seen the devastating effects Anxiety can have, and know this is a tough situation.
I am glad you have people you can talk to and who support you. I have seen how important that can be.
I am sure I speak for everyone when I say we want you to be healthy. Taking care of yourself is much more important than the games we play, but the games are best when they contribute to your well-being.
I hope I haven't screwed this up too badly, as it feels like I never have the right words.

This is my early warning that I'll be leaving on Wed 16 March for a long, international vacation that will have me completely disconnected until 28 March. Most likely, I won't be able to post at all. If I do find myself in a position to post, it will be without a keyboard; the best I'd be able to offer is to guide the botting of The Armenian Man from the discussion thread; I don't do well with the forum formatting tags from my phone.
I'll post another reminder on 16 March when I leave.
