If you folks want to start early, it's fine. We can start early.

Day job lvl 1 Herbalism Lore x8?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
I thought there was a way to use medicine for income but I'm not seeing it.
Trig is a Medic. Right now that just means he's really good at Battle Medicine and Treat Wounds.

A few guides there for the Champion.

First role of melee is simple, do big number. Second is to protect casters. Third is to tank hits.
While that may be a more joking way of thinking about the melee class life, it has truth to it. With a Paladin you are probably doing a little of both, Healing, melee, and a more divine focus.

Feel free to RP while waiting for the others. Please complete the macros and post your token, though, if you haven't already.

I'll do the macros tonight.
For distance combat is fine though. Essentially positioning will be an even more a matter for ya but you won't be entirely on the front line. Definitely read the guides.

Try this link to the guides.
Do we know where we are at or if we have received any handouts?

The GM for PPPC is joining us as well... :)

GM Tarthrin here! :) Hello! Nice to see you Joran, Maneki, Carson, and Gavin! Hope my first PbP as GM went alright for you all that you won't try to throw my character here into a pit.
Sorry for the delay, I missed the check-in post. I'm ready to go now other than finishing filling out the macro sheet. (Note for GM, Eidolons technically get their own exploration activity so I'll fill out a row for him as well.)
I'll be playing as Giles Morningstar II along with his Eidolon Ecthelion. Ecthelion will also be a front line fighter that can trip/grapple and hopefully take a few hits. Giles will be doing very little other than staying out of the way and avoiding getting hit as much as possible.

Yeah, they can be healed normally.
We share the same pool of hit points, so whatever heals me heals him and vise versa.

Probably won't be worth it but that also means the 3 action version of Cure heals both of you. Also once a day healing such as the normal version of Battle Medicine works on each of you as well.
Medic allows Trig to use Battle Medicine on someone who is immune once per day.

Nah, it only would apply the better of the two if we are both affected by an area of effect. Otherwise that'd be awesome, but fireballs would be double deadly too...
Lastly, the connection between you and your eidolon means you both share a single pool of Hit Points. Damage taken by either you or the eidolon reduces your Hit Points, while healing either of you recovers your Hit Points. Like with your actions, if you and your eidolon are both subject to the same effect that affects your Hit Points, you apply those effects only once (applying the greater effect, if applicable). For instance, if you and your eidolon get caught in an area effect that would heal or damage you both, only the greater amount of healing or damage applies.
Although I think you are right about both of us getting healed by battle medicine. I'll look into that.

For the crystal, I attach it and then activate it when I want to use it correct, it is not like a potion or oil?
You fix it to a weapon. When you want to use it, you activate it.

All these healing items. It's like you lack faith or something ;)
Note I have the Continual Recovery feat so can use Treat Wounds on someone every 10 minutes. No Assurance yet so I'll let each patient choose.
I have +10 to Medicine.
Option 1. I attempt a DC 15 Medicine check healing 2d8 and removing wounded. If I roll 25 + total I heal 4d8 instead.
Option 2. I attempt a DC 20 Medicine check healing 2d8 +15 and removing Wounded. But failing the check heals nothing.
If I roll a 1 on either option I critically fail and deal 1d8 damage.

I just haven't had an actual healer in my groups yet, lol.
The other sword school options at level one don't help much. I'll switch to Oil of Mending. (In case we break some of the relics)

I understand. My irl tables had a lot of PCs with the healing feats. That's why my main character (Bard 6) didn't focus on healing. But playing online I noticed dedicated healers were pretty rare. Thus Trig.

Healing -- you're going to need it... almost had a character die in my high tier game... you probably saw the player asking about a resurrection boon... :)
