"Come along now." Javor says, putting a meaty hand on the boy's shoulder, "Best not be risking anymore trouble eh?" He pats the boy on the shoulder, and leaves him in the care of the others.
Javor turns to the lady and folds his arms, "Please. Complain away. What's your hurry though lady?"
Felix Domblevoster
"Well of course we should. And we will!" says Felix, looking up at Agatha.
"Come on, kid. What's your name, anyway? We'll go down to the station and you can make a statement. We'll look into this and see if anyone's seen or heard from your master. In the meantime you can't go invading people's shops. You let us handle this, alright?"
Felix will talk to the kid and distract him while the team puts some distance between them and shop. He doesn't really trust the shopkeeper, but he knows they've got no evidence against her or reason to delay her any longer.
Evindyl
"Understand, the longer we wait, the more likely it is that you will make your complaint in person ... in shackles. Now that I have waited longer than I needed to, I will go into your shop. Without you. You will stay here and answer to my colleagues. If anything breaks while I am in your shop, well, it will be an unfortunate consequence of your lack of cooperation. My colleagues are listening for you answer ... I am not."
Evin walks into the shop to look for signs of a struggle or that the Wizard/Mentor was here at some point: clearly the woman knows more than she will say.

Agatha looks at Evindyl with some respect. seems like some elves aren't all light and laughter. Also never thought I would be the good cop.
She turns her attention to the shopkeeper.
Anything to say...Citizen? Before he returns?

"I hope you all will like the unemployment line, now get out of my home!"
The boy just sort of watches, peeling back somewhat away, not sure if he was getting what he wanted it appeared.

"I hope you all will like the unemployment line, now get out of my home!"
The boy just sort of watches, peeling back somewhat away, not sure if he was getting what he wanted it appeared.
"Citizen, with all due and perhaps even some additional deference, none of us will be unemployed when YOU report ... that you were unwilling to coorperate with an investigation and that with 5 people asking for your story, you interfered with and obstructed said investigation. In fact, our recommendation to our superiors that you be hauled in for interrogation and divination determinations will probably be met with a great deal of interest, if not enthusiasm actually. Again, your shop and your livlihood are ground zero for a missing person case which is CLEARLY indicitive of foul play based on even what little you have had to say, and yet it seems you are content to leave it that way."
Evin's runescars are glowing ...
"I will leave your home when I am done gathering evidence. I believe my colleague Agatha was in fact still willing to listen to you. It's an offer I would take if I were in as much trouble as you are and facing losing everything I have ever worked for."

Diplomacy checks please or intimidation if you are playing that sort of cop (which feels more than likely now XD)

"Evindyl," says Felix. "You've made your point. We need you outside."
The gnome is not happy with the intimidation of the citizenry, but is trying to show solidarity with his fellow officer. Praise in public, criticize in private.

The gnome should probably be less happy with the obstruction of justice than his colleague trying to interrogate a missing persons suspect ... but his point was fair and well taken.
"I'll be right there Officer Domblevoster ... let me just set things to order bit. Gods be praised, I love magic."
Evin casts Prestidigitation and begins to offset some of the damage that the child caused, tidy up his "rumaging" and in fact really bring things to order. She was as disrespectful as a wench with no coin, but the shop looked like a fairly fine establishment and a credit to Precipice. The connection to the missing man was undeniable but hard evidence was not here in the shop
Dario Zuz
Dario gives the woman more lookover before slipping his hands into his pockets. The miscreant was caught and a greater mystery was now known. There would be paperwork for a missing person to be done later on.

As the group moves away, Agatha says Elf, you should not be so abrupt with people. It is not always advantageous.
She grins toothily.
You should leave that sort of thing to orcs. We are better at it. Everyone always expects the worse of us. And you might break a nail. That would be terrible
Her familiar monkey cackles at the comment.

"Fine fine, if you must insist to know anything I was married several years ago to his master. I still have a copy of the divorce papers my lawyer served him," she says taking a step back with arms up in a means of partial surrender to the officer, "A terrible husband and a lousy drunk, but I didn't have anything to do with his supposed disappearance. If anything, he likely skipped town on the poor boy."
The boy shot back, "That can't be true!"
"Shut up boy. I am done here officers. I have to go through what work he has destroyed. No magic will fix that. I'll be behind on my orders for several days from his damages," she speaks, scolding the boy before going into her establishment.
"Good day officer, pray that your lawyer be better than a Chelish one."
She slams the door, leaving you with the young apprentice in the somewhat quiet street, the sounds merry making only a block or two away.
Javor Durrandon
Javor huffs a bit before Evin returns. He shoots Agatha a look as she makes her jab at the elf. When they're out of earshot, he drags the patrol down a side alley, out of the public's eyeline. He shoves Evin against the wall.
He jabs a finger angrily at him, "What in the nine hells was that Evindyl? We just had this conversation earlier today. Let me be unequivocally clear. There will be no threats on citizens. No broken bones and no perforating with arrows. None at all, since neither of you clearly can tell the difference between who deserves it and who doesn't. I don't care anymore that you're from here, we've a duty and a chance at a better reputation than the thugs from the Puddles."
"That being said. I won't betray any of you. We don't do this in public. Got it Evin?"
Javor shakes his head and lowers his estimation of the elf. He does seem to size up the orc in a little bit of a different light.
Felix Domblevoster
Felix rolls his eyes and says "Unless we have further leads on the boy's master's whereabouts, I says we file a report and continue our patrol. We can keep our eyes and ears open and perhaps we'll find something."

Agatha spits on the ground, but apart from that keeps her peace.
it wasn't worth their time to continue this, but intervening would likely prolong the issue. Best to lance the boil.
Her expression stayed blank.
Still, she wished the loudmouth, self-righteous monk would shut up.
