You are ruining the storyline. If you have been a part this campaign before you should bow out. You don’t notice the lighthouse because it hasn’t been activated yet!

You've looked through some of the smaller ruins in the Otari hinterlands but have never quite built up the courage to check out the creepy lighthouse called Gauntlight. You've heard that these ruins are pretty well picked over, and mostly collapsed, but you always planned to some day explore them and perhaps find some bauble left behind from the centuries-old battle where the Roseguard slew an evil sorcerer. You know that the crumbled stone of old ruins has a tendency to shift, so you'd better step lightly if you get the chance to explore Gauntlight.

I am curious GM where I have made an error. I have not played this before, this Adventure is fresh to me. I am unsure if you are kicking me off - I'd like to express interest to continue, and am sure whatever mixup we have can be straightened out.
Fine, just run with it. I'm not restarting over a 3rd time. If we don't hear from the ranger sometime today, she will just be left out. We're not waiting on anyone. This is the person that wanted to restart this in the first place.
I didn't read your background, so that was my fault. The story writers really screwed the Game masters with this background though. I do have idea on how to fix this, so role play this as is.
I don't wish to kick anyone from the game, especially ones that actually post.
I flagged your last post in game play for removal
Quick question, in regards to my Ancestral Feat, Bright Soul, since it is, in essence, a permanent, innate Light cantrip, can it be slightly concealed with a thick, hooded cloak? Kind of like a hooded lantern vs a bullseye lantern? ie. my face directs it out like a cone, the cloak preventing it from being a full radius?
If not it's cool, just wanted to check prior to actual combat or exploration encounters.
Having pledged his service, I am fine to move forward with the scene. However, I wanted to point out to Hammid, that while Jhereg isn't doing the crushing grip thing, it is a firm, strong arm clasp, hand to forearm, squeeze, type deal. But there is a definite heat you can feel that close to his bare skin. Not painful, but noticeable ...
Dammit, now I'm torn between Natural Ambition (Raging Intimidarion) or Ember Eyes for Low Light Vision lol. I'll see if we're doing Archetypes too before I decide.
Regardless of Free Archetype, I'm going Sorcerer (Dragon) and Dragon Disciple,if we're using FA rules, I'm just able to do it quicker and fill out some Barbarian feats in the early levels.
Ancestry Paragon rules are here.
Basically you gain two Ancestry feats at 1st level, and you gain an additional Ancestry feat every odd level afterwards, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, etc.
Free Archetype rules are here.
Basically at 2nd level you can take a Free Archetype feat, and at every even numbered level, you may take a Archetype or Dedication feat, if you meet it's requirements, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, etc.
So to clarify we are *not* using Ancestral Paragon, but *are* using Free Archetype?
I was going to go for Low Light Vision, however, with Bright Soul I emit light as a Light cantrip at all times, so no need for Low Light ... so I will be taking Natural Ambition (Raging Intimidation) ... which allows him to use Intimidating Glare while raging.
Also, Scare to Death but that's beyond the scope of this game, sadly ...
The sorceress isn't knowledge you would really know much about since it's been so long ago, but you would know about the Roseguard since they were the founders of Otari. Otari was named after the rogue that was killed in the now ruins. The mayor is a descendant of Aesephna Menhemes the party cleric and the blacksmith is a descendant of Vol Ranjani the party's fighter.
Oh that's pretty close, good to know. Could still be good to have things set up so we can go in at first light, though, so we have a good amount of time to explore before it gets dark out.
Jhereg will likely be behind Dhruva, I'm going to take the Scouting exploration activity allowing us to gain a +1 bonus to initiative in our 1st combat encounter.
Dhruva and Dia will be up ahead. Although I don't have the Scout archetype until next level, I think it's most appropriate if Dhruva is the one who Scouts!
For the skill, do you mean the skill activity? I think it would be Survival (Sense Direction).
