You open the door. This loading dock is filled with pieces of plastic from the remains of large shipping crates, as well as strange shards of green crystalline metal. There’s a glass panel on the wall just inside the door labeled “Break glass in case of emergency” with two pistols visible inside.

Two creatures stand in the center of the debris. They snarl at you!

Tixylix acts first!

If you want to grab a pistol from the glass, it takes a standard action to smash the glass, and you can grab a pistol as part of the same action. You see a needler pistol and a static arc pistol.

I go on the same init as Tixylix, we have shared bond, we both get the higher of the two inits, unless then enemy has an ability preventing that.

Dragonkin thing:
Partner Bond Tixylix
A dragonkin can form a permanent bond with one willing non-dragonkin creature. Once this bond is made, a dragonkin cannot form another partner bond unless its current partner dies. A dragonkin and its partner can communicate with each other as if they both had telepathy with a range of 100 feet. In combat, when a dragonkin is within 30 feet of its partner, both creatures roll initiative checks separately and treat the higher result as the result for both of them.

This is one of the few times when Ziamat realizes being large is tough, so he moves and takes a swing at red with the battle staff hit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 vs KAC dmg: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 and block ability +1 to ac if I hit.

Shiny the exuberant dwarf says upon seeing the pairs connection.

Ziamat hits when it moves next to him! Not enough to take it out completely, I'm afraid. Ziamat feels stinging in the wound, but his strong immune system fights off the parasitic larvae!

T'Krunch recognizes an akata! Apologies to everyone who played Dead Suns, ha ha

The akata is an aberration adapted to the void of space. They are immune to cold and resistant to fire, though T'Krunch takes care of the latter for the Yellow one!

T'Krunch knows that when these creatures hibernate, they form noqual, a starmetal, as part of their cocoons. That might be why some wanted to smuggle them into the Pact Worlds: to farm noqual.

CiCi raises a hand, palm back. She twists and balls it into a fist with a jerk and activating servos in the armor. The armor clanks as heavy plates drop into place over her knuckles as she moves into the room. With a satisfied shout, she heartily delivers the plated gauntlet to the red creature. H... Ha!

The shimmering light that has been floating around Sobok coalesces around his hand like a gauntlet shedding light. Sobok aims the gauntlet around CiCi at one of the creatures and a beam of light shoots out but ends up way over the creatures head as he seeks to miss his companions.

Attacking the red one. I am sure it has cover, but I will leave the mods up to you. I also start going Supernova.

CiCi, correct on all counts! Absent someone having a special ability, you're stuck with those conditions for the rest of the combat, and they do stack. I track total damage dealt per PC, but yes, it comes off your stamina first. For what it's worth, I assume that you're tracking damage more accurately on your ends, but I track as well so we have a general idea of who's been hit.

The red one lashes out with bites again, at both Ziamat and CiCi!

Sobok decides not to get into the food discussion as that seems to be going to weird places and instead says, "I do not believe those were supposed to be on this ship."

You contact the Stewards to let them know that your mission is complete. They are glad to see what a great job you did, but they are horrified that you had to fight off attacks from akatas! "None of the other ships had live creatures, I'm so sorry!"

The Stewards treat you all with anti-parasitic medications. No further Fort saves are needed, and CiCi and Ziamat both feel better soon.

Ixthia meets with you all later. “Excellent work, Starfinders. I know that was more excitement than any of us expected, but you handled yourselves well and impressed the Stewards in the process. Starfinder agents need to be ready for anything, and you certainly proved that you are!”
