WELCOME!
If you haven't played with me before, please take a moment to glance at my GM profile and review style and expectations; it's mostly standard stuff.
This game is run for Gameday X.
When recruitment opens, I will post sign-in instructions.

Hi Jiki. Good to see another bard. I was the GM for your Putrid Seeds quest.
I do like to coordinate some teamwork so we don't do redundant actions. I took the Opportunist feat from the Fighter Dedication tree so I can trip people with my whip. Jiki, do you want to handle Inspire Courage/Lingering Performance duty?

![]() |

Please. My usual round is sing and cast a spell, so further from melee is better for me.

![]() |

Looks like we have knowledge well covered, as I have bardic lore too.

![]() |

Speaking of which. I have Kreightons Cogntive crossover. So if I fail to recall knowledge with either culture or occultism (including secret checks) I automatically try again with the other. Not sure how best to put that into the slides.

I’ll add a note to the macros and you can always remind the gm who will surely forget :p

GM Doug H |

In my PbP Games I generally allow players to roll knowledge checks in combat and place the results in spoilers. I trust you not to read them. I just find that waiting mid-turn for a day can really bog down combat.
So for instances like Crossover you can use that on your own — at least in combat!

GM Doug H |

I have Ancestral Longevity, so if it takes longer than a day to get to Anactoria, I would like to take Anactoria Lore as my Trained Skill from that feat.
The journey will take 2 days. Go for it. I removed Ocean Lore (big spoiler but believe it or not, Ocean Lore won't come up in this one!), and added it as Anactoria Lore to the macros sheet.

Jiki would be from the only tradition that doesn't learn water breathing, which seems like it could be useful in a bog (or maybe that's just because I watched The Two Towers recently). So he'll take a scroll of dispel magic.

GM Doug H |

Your racism against elves is most unappreciated too. they say with a withering glare that pierces the mask.
I want to approach this swiftly and out of character, and be clear. There is no ancestral prejudice intended in the scenario itself and because an NPC’s words that I wrote came across that way I apologize.
I will refrain from referring to anyone’s ancestry moving forward.

I know in PFS2 aid-anothers are a little fraught. However Teja is trained in every skill and also has an extra +4 due to her cooperative nature.
That means generally she will (at worst) only fail, thus no negative. Only on a roll of a 1 will she actually crit fail, and with her generally good skills most of the time will give you a bonus.

GM Doug H |

Yeah I countedd the aid too, good teamwork.
You killed it and skipped to the last encounter of the scenario. (It's just a DC 24, so it seems like the author intended this to be a strong possibility).
Hero point to Parnes.
Speaking of cavaliers, do you need a horse token? You can either be mounted or not for this encounter. Weapons out, all that jazz plus I rolled garbage for all 4 monsters so y'all up.

GM Doug H |

Teja will spend a bit longer seeing if she can determine more about the mists.

Technically multiple additional recall knowledge have higher DCs using the adjusted dc table. My spoilers are written with the idea that usually one player makes one check (e.g. "another check" means another player, not you), which is the most common use-case. Now I realize that's not clear enough.
I will think about a way to adjust the spoiler text to capture this rule; I like to put spoilers in my games as a convenience to keep things moving but they must also translate the correct rules for players.
Done is done so let's proceed (also not a big deal); just wanted to make note here.

GM Doug H |

Don't forget to include Inspire Courage in your rolls; I added it for you this time where it seemed to be missing (on the spell damages & attacks).

![]() |

Oh, sorry. I was thinking a new action, a new DC. And if you hit a higher DC you got the extra information on the earlier action.
Now I've read the rules, I see I was wrong.
Apologies.

GM Doug H |

No worries! In my time doing 2e PbP I've never come across a player trying to do multiple recall knowledge in one turn.
I'm glad you did that. It's going to improve my GM flow; a good learning moment for the GM too.

No problem! I did roll the flat check; it was right after the Fort saves; I just didn't say what it was for and it was pretty easy to miss. And yeah, not trying to second guess, its just that I try to predict when I'm likely to get a crit because my weapon has deadly d8 and causes Clumsy 1 on a crit. And its up to me to remember that! People say that martials are boring and simple but I feel like they often have a ton of stuff that you have to remember!

GM Doug H |

I love martials in this ed; I have several fighters, couple rogues, etc and they all feel totally different.
Thanks for the note on the flat and the reminder on the attack. I appreciate it; one of the nice things is that fixing a mistake is usually easier in PbP.
As an aside, I don't much enjoy it for the players or the GM when 4+ enemies clump together like this. It can get hard to track 12 actions in one "turn" and all the conditions and saves that arise. Anyway, it goes a long way when everyone is keeping an eye out and being helpful.

GM Doug H |

I'm fine calling the combat here if you all want. No fort save this round and between all of you can do 20 damage to my elite Vampiric Mist.
Still, if you want to see it out roll them dice.

![]() |

Oops, I posted to Gameplay before I looked here.
I'm fine with calling it here.
Also, thanks for informing me about the Drained condition - I didn't know it reduced your Max HP.

![]() |

Jiki would just be healing Parnes, which can happen just as easily out of combat.

GM Doug H |

Looks like the path is out into the bog to save the Aspis. Good call as it's your Secondary. (Also framing the Aspis — while highly entertaining — is infamy-worthy as they are innocent this time; I would have explicitly warned before the party went that route anyway.
Will move you on in the morning.

![]() |

+1 geek cred for the Scooby Do reference.

GM Doug H |

Oh, I see. Hart can definitely tell she isn't made of lead (at least as far as I can tell — the only thing written in the scenario about the maid was given in the Occultism check).

GM Doug H |

Same day so you are still drained. Update coming in a couple hours!

GM Doug H |

It's that time. Hero point to Jiki for critting the performance with the grig.

GM Doug H |

Setting up a combat. SHould be there in a bit.

[dice=Fort]1d20+12
[dice=Fort]1d20+12[dice=Horsy Fort]1d20+12
[dice=Horsy Fort]1d20+12With the way animal companions work, I'm kind of stuck in that place. And if I was affected, I'm assuming Gloria was too.
We crossposted. Following up here for clarity tho I've edited my post:
Horse too! And one more for Parnes only getting hit with the hammer.
So:
- 1 exposure to lead from creature's reaction for both you and horse (lead cloud vapors after you hit it)
- 1 exposure to lead starting your turn for both you and horse (lead cloud vapors linger 1 round after you hit it)
- 1 exposure from getting hit with the hammer by the creature (you only)
I'll put an aura on the map for active lead clouds. Anyone entering the auras should make the save too.

GM Doug H |

Hmmm. The lead cloud lasts 1 round
If you created an effect lasting for a certain number of rounds, reduce the number of rounds remaining by 1.
I suppose this means that the creature's lead cloud dissipates at the start of its turn, so I think you would have had to make 1 less fort save and it's gone now. Anyway, you made all the saves.
I've added a "Lead Cloud Reaction Available" to the tracker so you can more easily track enemies. I will note who has an active cloud and draw the next ones on the map.
- Any time you melee strike a creature with a reaction available it's going to spew a lead cloud at you so you might as well make a DC 18 fort save.
- Any time you enter an existing cloud you should make a save.

GM Doug H |

Hero point to Hart for their use of Gust of wind.

GM Doug H |

Teja steps forward and, holding her breath, swings her magic stick at the nearest skeleton, waits for its reaction and then swings again while it is exposed.
[dice=feint]1d20+13
[dice=attack]1d20+8 hopefully vs FF
[dice=B damage]2d6[dice=Fort if required]1d20+9 Extra +1 if this is inhaled.
You know in character these are mindless, being that they can't figure Hart's gust of wind. Therefore immune to feint.
Maybe that would change your actions.

![]() |

I'll step back for my extra action to get out of the cloud

GM Doug H |

We'll be wrapping this one up. I'm interested in how you want to approach things with Evgeni now that you know the full story.
